Slothin' It - 5. Chapter 5 - Well that isn't taking it slow

Chapter 5 - well that wasn’t taking it slow.

Walker was nice enough to catch my mother, well he thought he needed to but when a sloth passed out they did that in slow motion as well. It only took him a second to get to her but she wasn’t even falling yet. Still, I had to admit my wolf was turning out to be a pretty nice guy. From the confused look on his face, I could tell he had no idea how it was physically possible for my mother to pass out in slow motion. “Don’t worry, she’s going to be falling for a few minutes.” I thought for his benefit. “Now tell me can you hear all my thoughts?” I asked him again as the waitstaff started to congregate around my mother who wasn’t even close to the floor yet. Everyone else was barely out of their seats if they even had gotten up yet. It would take the entire room of sloths a lot of time to actually absorb what was going on.

Walker looked at my mother and then shrugged before he got closer to where I sat. “I’m not sure. I wouldn’t know what you didn’t want me to know I guess, but I haven’t stopped hearing you since you left your apartment this morning and at one point you seemed very upset with your brother.” Walker laid a hand on my cheek making the entire room of sloths hiss as the predator touched me.

I smiled as warmth curled in my belly and down into my groin. “He is such a god. Whatever this is I don’t want it to stop.”

“Don’t worry little one, this is never going to stop.”

“Larry………………..” I looked up to see Paul being pushed towards up in his rolling chair by a very contrite squirrel shifter. My brothers face was contorted into one of rage as he barely kept his hissing in check. Was he seriously having someone push him over to me?

“.............what……………….

…………........the…………………

…………..…..hell……………….

……………….are……………….

……………….you……………….

……………….doing—” He kept going, granted it was faster than he normally would have said it.

“Wow, you’re an identical twin.” Walker said as he looked between us with wide gold eyes. Well guess that answered my question whether he could hear all of my thoughts. Jealousy coursed through my belly as I thought of my wolf looking at my brother the way he looked at me, regardless of how we styled our hair and dressed me and Paul were identical. “W-we… a-aaare….. d-dddifferenttt.” I said out loud too upset to realize I didn’t think them. I paid for it when my words came out a stumbled mess as I tried to speak way too fast.

Walker rumbled deep in his throat causing more sloths in the room to hiss in fear. He leaned down over me and without pause licked a possessive swipe over the bare column of my neck. Heat raced up to my freckled cheeks as every sloth I knew stared at us with wide eyes, and yet a part of me wanted him to do it again. Walker’s eyes connected with mine, our noses almost touching he was so close. “Calm down baby, I know you’re different. I know I’m yours, I don’t want anyone but you, not even your evil doppelganger.”

I snorted out a laugh and the evil green monster slipped away as pure happiness washed in. “He is my evil doppelganger.” I agreed. “I’m glad you can tell the differ—”

“With………………

……………..that…………..

…………..beast!” Paul cut me off.

“He’s still talking?” Walker said completely confused as he stood back up and looked at Paul who’s chair was now parallel to mine.

I nodded, unlike Walker I had known my brother was still talking and his comment made my belly cramp with anger. “H-he’s...n-nnnoot… a-a… b-beeaaasstt, f-ffucking….aassholee.” I was so angry I couldn’t keep the words from coming out in a stuttered jumbled mess. How dare my brother attack Walker like that! I’d told him about the wolf and he hadn’t given a rats tail before but now that it was happening at the mingle he cared!

Paul’s eyes widened slowly as he absorbed what I’d said. “You………….

……………….would……………….

……………….ruin……………….

……………….our……………….

……………….family’s……………….

……………….status……………….

……………….for……………….

……………….that……………….

……………….poor……………….

……………….dog!” Paul finished the sentence with a sharp hiss causing all the sloths in the room to focus in on our family drama even more.

“I’m a wolf, there’s a big difference.” Walker mumbled irritably.

“H-heee’ss….m-mmmy...m-maatte...donn’ttt...t-ttalkk...ttooo...hhhhhimmm...l-llikeee...t-ttthhaatt!” I practically garbled out the words, my mouth unable to keep up with my mind.

“Easy Larry.” Walker said with another soothing rumble.

“Stop……………….

……………….talking……………….

……………….so……………….

……………….fast……………….

……………….you……………….

……………….know……………….

……………….what……………….

……………….happens……………….

……………….why……………….…

……………….can’t……………….

……………….you……………….

……………….just……………….

……………….be……………….

……………….normal!” Paul hissed more, his blue eyes spitting fire at me.

I opened my mouth to speak but nothing came out. I tried again and “Not again, I couldn’t lose my voice again. I don’t want to be trapped again!” I thought as so much fear and pain filled my heart I thought I’d explode from it all. “I need to leave, I can’t stay here.” I thought when I was unable to get the words out. I wouldn’t be able to say anything to defend myself, I wouldn’t be able to be heard like last time. still nothing would come out. Panic raced up my spine and I started to shake with the fear overwhelming my entire body.

“Easy baby,” Walker said as he threaded his hand through my hair. “Calm down, breath, I don’t understand what you’re saying your thoughts are a mess.” The large man knelt down so we were eye to eye, his hands grabbing my cheeks as he forced me to focus on his warm golden gaze. “Let’s get out of here. Why don’t you shift it’ll make you feel better if I hold you.”

I stared into his yellow eyes, drowning out the angry slow words around me. What he was saying didn’t make any sense though - shifting wouldn’t make me feel better… but-- “You just want to carry me around!” I thought as some of the panics started to slowly fade leaving only a small drum of anxiety. Even if I couldn’t talk, at least he could hear me, at least I wouldn’t be trapped inside my head by myself like last time. ohhh

Walker grinned wolfishly, baring all of his beautiful white teeth, his rugged beard only adding to his rough devious expression. The man was a sexy god out to change my life in less than twenty-four hours. I looked past him to my brother, and then to my mother who was still slowly falling to the floor, and the other sloths all around us. None of them understood me, they would never try. To them, I was an anomaly, someone ashamed of being a sloth. Maybe I was ashamed of being a sloth, but I was frustrated living a life I didn’t feel belonged to me. I didn’t want to be slow.

So I did exactly what my wolf asked: I shifted.

Gasps filled the room as I changed forms right in front of everyone still in my clothes while a predator watched me. The moment I was finished changing I lifted my talon tipped hands towards my mate asking him to pick me up without saying anything.

Walker scooped me up into his strong arms, his massive body better than any tree I’d ever climbed as I moved to his back and settled comfortably on his shoulders. Various sloths hissed and spoke out against us, but I ignored them. All the anxiety and panic started to wash away as I felt comfortable in my habitat again.

Comfortable with him.

“I could get used to this.” I thought pleased as Walker leaned down and scooped up my clothes and shoes. The other sloths kept hissing and screeching in the dining room, my brother staring at me with wide shocked blue eyes. Lifting my talons to my forehead I gave my twin a sarcastic but slow salute. “Onward my noble steed!”

“You’re cute as shit.” Walker chuckled as he turned his head and kissed my hairy sloth cheek that was laying on his shoulder before walking towards the door. He stopped before he made it out of the dining room and looked over his shoulder at my brother who was now scowling in anger at us both. “Paul I’ll see you around, maybe at the next mingle,” Walker made a show of looking around the dining room before saying, “this poor dog does own the place after all.”

“You own the place!” I thought with complete shock as we walked outside into the dim light of early night. “It’s night!” Ugh, another day lost to one hour of normal dialect.

Yeah, I own a lot of business, including the club we met in.” He said as he walked us to the car parked right in front of the restaurant.

“Is that your car?” I asked in shock as I looked at the Chevrolet Chevelle SS and thought I might actually be drooling over the classic muscle car. Now this car would go fast. It was bright red with white strips up the hood and over the cab to the back of the car. The entire thing screamed power and speed and I was dying to get my sloth butt in one of the cream colored seats.

“I’m guessing from your enthusiasm you like my car.” Walker teased. “Don’t worry baby I’ll take you on the best ride of your life.” He opened the door and I crawled around to the front of his chest as he got into the driver seat. Once inside the car, I let him help me over to the passenger seat where I sat down and all but vibrated with slothie joy.

Walker set my clothes down behind him in the backseat leaving me wondering how I was going to get dressed. “I need my clothes.” I thought as I watched him. The wolf just shook his head, eyes gleaming as he flashed me a wicked smile.

“No baby, you won’t need them trust me,” he rumbled as he turned the engine over and the loud crackle of the engine made my body vibrate. He pulled into traffic driving slowly as we made our way through the city. I didn’t mind, nor did I care where we were going as I enjoyed the vibrations of the car beneath me and his strong scent filling the cabin of the car. Nothing mattered, not my brother, not my mother, not sloth politics, nothing but Walker and the smooth ride.

It took us about ten minutes to get out of the city and onto the open roads that lead up to the forest communities. The moment we exited the city Walker gunned the engine with enough force to lay me back into my seat. Excitement roared through my small body and I slowly raised my arms in the air as the powerful surge of the car overwhelmed my slow senses. Never in my life had I gone so fast.

“Shift Larry.” Walker urged.

“Shift...I’ll be naked.” I thought as more adrenaline coursed through me.

My wolf chuckled as he shifted gears making the car go even faster. “I know that’s the point little one. Now shift. I’m going to show you a really good ride.”

Swallowing the nervous energy I thought about what was going to happen. Why would he want me to be naked in his car? Did I want to find out? Hell “Oh fuck.” I looked down at my hard cock bobbing between my legs as my belly curled with more excitement. yes, I wanted to find out. Without waiting I let the shift take over and lengthen and change my body till I was all smooth skin again. In this form, I could see through the windshield as the road passed by fast and the car ate up the ground with its massive ties. It was exhilarating and I felt the blood rushing down from my head and all the way to my—

“That’s right baby.” Walker growled deep as he wrapped his hand around my dick and stroked my length with a strong pull.

Mewling I canted my hips to meet his hand as he jacked me in the front seat of his car. The speed and the pleasure meshed together into a rush I’d never felt in my life. “Don't stop.” I thought, desperately trying to find friction in his grip but he wouldn’t move his hand anymore.

“Don’t worry little one, I’m just getting started.”

Bigotry is the same, no matter the circumstances. Larry's family is losing him completely by their behaviour. It's not only their loss. Always tough to walk away from your roots, even when it's necessary.

Great chapter.  Mom passing out and falling in slow motion is hysterical.   So Walker has some money and businesses.  I bet Paul didn’t expect that.  No we know what happenes to Larry when he tries to talk to fast.  Totally loses his voice.  That must be horrible for him.  Can’t wait to see where we go from here. Thanks for the new chapter.

This story just makes me laugh. I would not have the patience to wait for a sloth to speak. An SS... now that’s a ride.
