Liked this book and the fact that it stayed focused on basically the work of Lucas throughout.  The story was streamlined in a manner that I felt made it easier and more enjoyable to read.  I did feel that chapters 8, 9, and 10 had a pacing issue and were a little choppy when reading; but it did not significantly impact my enjoyment of those chapters.

I do hope we get some further look at the actual life in space; that said, I hope we also get to keep up with what Lucas is doing and how he adjust to being back basically as a resident of Earth.  What happened with his family, did they come with him?

This story continues on from Deep Space Journey. In this story we follow Lucas as he returns to earth, We follow his many adventures as he sets up a new Earth Base.

I highly recommend Deep Space Journey and Deep Space Settlement as great books to read.
