Another interesting Australia based story. Lots of local color of Tasmania, plus a side trip to Scotland. As in most Quokka stories, the protagonist is a super capable, very mature teen who has lots of good fortune happen to him. On the other hand, if you're allergic to the veneration of aristocracy, you might not enjoy this one.

This is the fantastic story of 16 year old Edwin Crawford. He's given a school assignment to write a 3500 word assignment on his family history.

Little idea does Edwin realise this essay will lead him on fantastic adventures.

Whislt discovering the history of his family he discovers he has an Uncle who is an Earl, this leads to the adventure of a lifetime for Edwin with a trip to Scotland with many fantastic memories made before he returns home. There are plenty of twists and turns to this story but it is a truly fantastic story that is up there with some of the best from Quokka.

We continue to follow Edwin's adventures in Book 2 - Fordell.

Highly recommended as a great read.
