Ladies' Man 9. American Songbook

There are currently no reviews.

Clem is a six-four rough and ready farm hand who drives a pick-up truck and spends his work life bringing in the hay and fixing fences. His boyfriend Nathan is pretty often mistaken for his twin - except that he wears a stetson. but two big strong guys together is not necessarily all it's cracked up to be, and in between make-out sessions that always seem to be on the verge of turning into fights, Clem finds himself getting jealous and envious of the softer side of girls.

Inspired by "God Made Girls" by RaeLynn

Somebody's gotta wear a pretty skirt,
Somebody's gotta be the one to flirt,
Somebody's gotta wanna hold his hand.

Somebody's gotta make him get dressed up,
Give him a reason to wash that truck,
Somebody's gotta teach him how to dance,
So God made girls.

I have the feeling you might have been shouting at the computer right about then...

>> mostly now i am just giggling at the idea of a guy who owns a John Deere tractor trying to fit into Ashlee's wardrobe...

*rolls eyes* I'm a victim of stereotyping! Well, ain't that the story of my life! So maybe I wouldn't fit into Ash's clothes, however, although 6 feet tall, I weigh the same as I did in high school, which is 148 lbs, with a 29 inch waist, so I can (and do) occasionally indulge my Ashlee-dreams. And I assure you that Ashlee could easily pilot a big JD tractor. They have plush, suspended seats, air conditioning, decent stereo sound systems... Ash would love it! :-)

you guys have such fancy tractors. Even the best one at the farm is made of swearing and bad suspension.

Well, that makes 4, or 5, times that I've read Ladies Man.
The video from the song inspiration was on yesterday morning, so this is where I started my weekend of self-indulgent reading. Ashlee and Clem never fail to make me happy. The fact that I live so close to Ausitn, that I know, I just KNOW that I have seen them somewhere. Lakeline Mall, perhaps? 6th Street, late at night? The Wolf Ranch Farmers Market?
Thanks, Sasha!

I'm glad the boys could indulge you!

I wouldn't be surprised if you had seen them, the farm doesn't keep them from going into the city all the time.

thank you, thank you, thank you xx You know, you've probably read it more time than I have now!
