Camp Echo 1. Camp Echo

This is a great story involving some of the quirkiest people ever. Talo said it all in the description of the story up front. While the first few chapters were hard to get through because they were so dialogue heavy and it was sometimes difficult to determine who was doing the talking, Talo has fixed that now.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, maybe because it is different from the usual stories on this site. It is like a series of little scenes all woven together to form the equally quirky Camp Echo.

Join Aeriol and Max in their perpetually cold upstairs flat somewhere in North London—perpetually cold because they can’t afford to continually run the heat—entertaining their sundry friends who are mostly male, except for Mayann and Nadia who are lesbians, one of them having an interest in Aeriol as well. Seat yourself in one of the  beanbags in the lounge. You can almost smell the seemingly ever-present aroma of marijuana wafting through the lounge as you sip your instant coffee or your tea to 1970s-vintage sounds of the Moody Blues, Golden Earring, Elton John and others spinning on the turntable. Friends come and friends go in Camp Echo, except for Jules who doesn’t really live there, yet he does.

Need I say more? Read Camp Echo and enjoy it as much as I have. Talo has done a wonderful job with it.
