Mainstream Book Review: The End of October by Lawrence Wright

   (1 review)
Genres: Non-Fiction
Sub-genres: Reference

I don't know if people will like me reviewing mainstream fiction books. However, I do feel like trying out my hand at reviewing a popular Medical Global-thriller from 2020 from a Pulitzer Prize winning author. If folks don't like it, I'll just focus on gay fiction only. The End of October is a dark mirror into the current COVID Pandemic, it didn't get everything right, but it is quite scary.

A good, solid review of a timely novel in an age when fact and fiction seen evermore blurred. And scarily so 😱

I, for one, think it’s great to see reviewers thinking outside the box in what to recommend us

thanks

Response from the author:

Thank you for spurring me on,

I love reading novels and stories. My main focus may be gay fiction, but my first love was speculative and science fiction. This novel was on my non-LGBT reading list and after finishing it, I wanted to share my feelings on this #1 best seller. It's scary and cautionary tale that deserves some reflection about human nature. I above all enjoy the characters, none of them are heroes, just people with egos, needs, fears, and tragically shortsighted early 21st century approaches, human in any other word.
