An excellent "coming out" story. Characters are defined and it is easy to see the southern heritage of the location. The family dynamic speaks to me, and I can only imagine what it does to others. 

While there are some punctuation errors, they can easily be ignored concerning the majority of the characters are in high school and they are the ones telling this story. The lines read as the characters speak, and this is something I appreciate in writing. 

Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much. This was actually my second version of the story (the originals were banished to the pits of Mt. Doom)
