So in addition to a very hearty Happy Birthday to Cole, we'd also like to Congratulate Cole Matthews on joining the ranks of Promising Authors for GA! Cole Matthews is new to fiction writing. He likes to compose stories about gay and bisexual men who face great personal adversities after coming of age. Cole hopes to create a body of work that blends philosophy, psychology, and history to discover how these disciplines can speak to our lives. His characters tend to be ordinary people hoping to find happiness and love. While his writing usually centers on romantic encounters, he hopes to explore other genres of writing as well. So before you head off to check out his great stories, please join us in wishing him a very sincerely and well disserved:

Today we begin to replenish the Promising Author ranks with the new promotion of Thorn Wilde! Thorn's first completed novel on GA, Nemesis, is the 2013 RCA winner for a story by a new author and had 179 reviews. Fortunately, for fans of the novel completed last spring, Thorn is also posting a sequel, Soulmates Never Die, that is already over 40k in length. If novels aren't your thing, you can still read one of Thorn's many short stories--from one chapter shorts, to anthologies, to fanfictions. Of Nemesis Paul.b said: It's a great story Miles Long's thoughts on Soft: Excellent beginning, thanks. But don't forget to take the time to congratulate Thorn before you head over to read some of the many stories showcasing just why Thorn was promoted.

A.J. posted a blog entry in Gay Authors News
GA is happy to announce our newest promotion to Promising Author, Carlos Hazday! Carlos has been a member of Gay Authors for a little over three years now including publishing 21 stories! He prides himself on tackling real issues in his work all while aiming to entertain. Never one to shy away from tackling a controversial topic, Carlos has written about homophobia, bullying, HIV, child pornography, gun control, the environment, and racism. In fact, one reader commented that Carlos practices socially engaged storytelling. If you haven't checked out his work before, let me suggest fan favorite Summer, which is the first book in his popular CJ series. We look forward to what new adventures Carlos has in store for us! Leave a note here to congratulate Carlos on his promotion, and then check out his stories here! Please join us in congratulating Ronyx on becoming GA's newest Classic Author! Ronyx has been writing and posting stories for a decade, but it has just been in the last year that he started posting some of his amazing stories from his own website, The Mustard Jar, here at Gay Authors. I've had the privilege of speaking with Ronyx a few times about his writing. He told me his goal is to reach that one lonely gay teen needing to hear that it's okay to be gay. He has tried to create endearing characters that struggle with their situations, but still come out winners. Ronyx's main message through his writing is that no matter how dark the storm, a rainbow appears at the end. We are honored Ronyx is posting here, and judging by the number of people that have read his stories on our site he's clearly still reaching new readers unfamiliar with his work. Leave a note here to congratulate Ronyx on his promotion, and then check out his stories here!

GA is happy to announce our newest promotion to Promising Author, Puppilull! Puppilull has only been writing on our site for just over a year now, but she's already posted several unique stories that have grabbed our readers' attention. If you haven't read any of her work before, let me suggest her contemporary romances Thaw and Frost. My personal favorite is a historical short story, Lupercalia, written for this year's Secret Admirer story contest. Puppilull seems to have a way of creating interesting and distinct characters that draw you into her stories from the opening paragraphs, and we look forward to seeing what new plots and twists she has in store for us! Author Promotion G A's Newest Promising Author: Craftingmom!
Cia posted a blog entry in Gay Authors News
Please join the Author Promotion Team in congratulating Craftingmom as GA's newest promoted author! Joining just about a year ago, Craftingmom quickly gained popularity on the site and became a favorite author for many readers. Her Tears of the Neko story, both the original and re-write, garnered a lot of interest on the site and launched her into GA's author and reader community. She also has a lot of other stories, but likes to focus on the theme of hurt/comfort so they have a fair bit of angst, so if you're into a story that has a lot of twists and turns, check out her work! -
