  1. Mark Arbour's story, Odyssey, was Monday's Signature Feature. Did you grab your copy of the signature banner so you can share your love for Mark's story? If not, you can do that here! Today we're featuring a great excerpt from the story that shares Mark's great ability to create a vivid world for Mark's main character in the series, George Granger, to explore. Why did Mark pick this story to feature? Mark says: My favorite story is: Odyssey, from the Bridgemont series. I'm really proud of that one because of all the meticulous research I had to do, and how carefully I had to plot out the timeline. I had to get my hero from England, around the world via Indonesia and India, and to Egypt in time for the Battle of the Nile, all of this in 1798. I know CAP is more popular, but that story is my best effort Want to read more? Check out the rest of the story here!
  2. One of many readers' favorite stories, as well as Mark's, this month's feature is Odyssey, Book 6 in the Bridgemont series featuring the adventures of Sir George Granger as he tries to voyage to the West Indies. Have you read it yet? Length: 406,283 Description: It is April, 1797, and England is still celebrating the victory at the Battle of St. Vincent. Sir George Granger is given orders to set off on a voyage to the East Indies, but there are several challenges that await him before he can even sail. Some great story reviews: Miles Long says: Spectacular story in an equally spectacular series. Tip of the hat to you Mark Arbour for your excellent work and thanks to you and your team for bringing it to life. Sandrewn says: Mark, this is by far my favourite story in GA. I hope you continue with Grangers' adventures when the Odyssey comes to an end, as all good thing must. Thank you for the all hours of enjoyment you have given to me and I'm sure the many more than just the 93 who admitted it did. Rolfe45 says: Amazing work, Mr. Arbour! I have thoroughly enjoyed the Bridgemont saga. I truly hope you intend to continue this saga. I'm not sure how I'd survive without the escape which reading the Bridgemont & CAP sagas provides. GWood says: Mark, many thanks to you for your writing and to your editors/beta readers for their efforts, too. We are truly blessed at having your writings on this site. Entertaining, suspenseful, exotic and erotic. Truly looking forward to your next installment (and your continuation of 9.11). Many thanks again. 3. Cynus's story "From the Cup of the Worthless" was Monday's Signature Feature. Did you grab your copy of the signature banner so you can share your love for Cynus's story? If not, you can do that here! Today we're featuring his chosen excerpt. Cynus says: I chose this excerpt from chapter 10 for a number of reasons. It not only offers a view at the high stakes involved in this organized crime story, but it also shows a number of different connections between the characters, most importantly the connections between Nobuyuki and Viktor, between Nobuyuki and Masahiro (Nobuyuki's father), and the connection between Masahiro and Daisuke (Masahiro's second-in-command). It also offers a view of things to come, but without spoiling the ending, as this scene comes from just before the midpoint in the novel. Want to read more? Check out the rest of the story here!
  4. January brings a peak in the season's weather, hot or cold, and either way it's a good time to stay inside and read! To help you find great stories on the site by another one of our Signature authors, this month we're featuring Cynus' story, "From the Cup of the Worthless". Length: 150,127 Description: In the world of organized crime, your crime family is all you can count on. Nobuyuki Sato is no exception, and as he tries to navigate the political climate of his new city, his Yakuza family is there to support him. But then Nobuyuki meets Viktor Karimov, son of the Chief of Police, he begins to question if there might be more to life than crime. Love, intrigue, and drama abound. Cynus's Favorite Reviews: Valkyrie says: Great beginning. I'm hooked! You've woven a rich tapestry of cultures in a realistic, futuristic setting. I'm very interested to see how the sons of such diametrically opposed backgrounds develop their relationship. I don't think Nobu is only interested in Viktor to gain his father's favor, but I can see betrayal in their future. I'll hang on for what I'm sure is going to be a bumpy ride! drpaladin says: All those double entendres from Nobu during the phone call were marvelous. Nobu is a really clever boy. So did he know what he was doing there or was that his subconcious feelings for Victor coming out into the open? We have two boys who hide what the are to keep their respective father's approval. Both the same, but with mirror opposite situations. Victor has a brother who would accept him and protect him from anything, but Nobu doesn't have that. There is so much potential here and I can't wait to see what happens. RobV says: Loving this so far. It's amazing how your stories are all so wildly different. The way you craft a whole new world every time, with new characters that aren't rehashes of any of your old ones, is very impressive. And it's always original and intriguing. Keep it up! Mikiesboy says: Cy, you are the mad weaver! So many associations, lots of intrigue, plots and plans. Not sure which way is up or who I can trust. Really well done my friend! tim xo Onim says: Wow...perfect ending (beginning) to an awesome story!! You've evoked every emotion...laughter, tears, smiles, groans, shocks, intrigue, excitement, sex and most of all Love...and we absolutely adored every written word!!! I'm just hoping this is just a book 1 to a series.. and we can look forward to more from the brothers and more from you!! It's been a great following this tale...and we thank you for sharing your talent with us!!! Remember to check back on Wednesday to see what excerpt Cynus chose to share with readers! Want to show your support and enjoyment of Cynus's story? Download the banner below for your site signature!
  5. Valkyrie's story, Alex's Legacy, was Monday's Signature Feature. Did you grab your copy of the signature banner so you can share your love for Valkyrie's story? If not, you can do that here! Today we're featuring her chosen excerpt. Valkyrie says: This story started as my response to Prompt 305, although the characters existed before I wrote the prompt. Even though they were created as peripheral characters in another story, they captured my heart, and I wanted to learn their whole story. There's a tie-in to The Hollow Hills, and anyone who can find it earns a gold star. lol I picked this excerpt because it shows the connection between Sam and Alex. It also shows Alex's playful side and the romanticism that's a main feature of the story. Want to read more? Check out the rest of the story here!
  6. This month we're featuring Valkyrie's story, Alex's Legacy With it's poignant theme and cozy bookstore setting, this is a great novella length story is a perfect December read. Make sure you don't miss out on it! Length: 22,494 Description: Sam and Alex meet and fall in love. Their relationship manages to survive some very dark and trying times, until tragedy strikes. Valkyrie's Favorite Reviews: Geron Kees says: I hope you have just researched this very well and that no one in your life has suffered through something like this horror. [He] is exhibiting all th correct signs for his personality type after an incident of extreme abuse. Your storytelling is spot on. I'd like to think that someone reading this story will gain some hope and insight from it in dealing with a problem in their own life. That, in my opinion, places what you've written well beyond the realm of entertainment writing. Renee Stevens says... Great job on this chapter Valkyrie. These two are so cute together and there was so much about this chapter to enjoy: the teasing, the descriptions of the scenery, etc. I was actually glad to see Alex slow them down, it just shows what a great guy he is. Slytherin says... Beautiful story, sad but it felt very authentic. It's good that they talked about Alex so Aaron understands Sam more They need to adopt a cat lol.Poor Chinese delivery man Great story, Valkyrie ! Cole Matthews says: My favorite part of this chapter is the teasing until the kisses final came. Very nice touch! Awesome chapter! Remember to check back on Wednesday to see what excerpt Valkyrie chose to share with readers! Want to show your support and enjoyment of Valkyries's story? Download the banner below for your site signature!
  7. Mann Ramblings' story, So Little Magic Left, was Monday's Signature Feature. Did you grab your copy of the signature banner so you can share your love for Mann's story? If not, you can do that here! Today we're featuring his chosen excerpt. Mann Ramblings says: I chose this scene because it sets the stage for a change in Rath and Shawn's roles, blurring them and sending them on a new direction. Want to read more? Check out the rest of the story here!
  8. This month's feature is Mann Rambling's epic novel, So Little Magic Let. Not only did he write a story nominated for 2013's Best Hero/Villain in the Reader's Choice Awards here on GA, he made his own graphic and signature banner for this month's event. Quite the accomplished artist, isn't he?! So if you haven't read this novel, try it out now! Length: 111,444 Description: What do you do when you simply don't fit into your world? Shawn Martoni never did. A past of turmoil and misfortune kept a solid foothold from ever forming. But what if there was another world under our own? Someplace where all that's left of the creatures long since forgotten might live. Would Shawn find his place there or simply find another form of the underworld? His Favorite Reviews: Rob Colton says... “Wow. What took me so long to start reading this? I'm sucked right in already.” Gene63 says... “Holy crap...it's like the apocalypse!!!” Cannd says... “I think the ending was bitter-sweet for all of us. It always makes me laugh how I can wish away days for an update on a story like this!” Cole Matthews says... “There is a sad tear running down my cheek. Mann, I will miss this story, a tale well told.” Remember to check back on Wednesday to see what excerpt Mann chose to share with readers! Want to show your support and enjoyment of Mann's story? Download the banner below for your site signature!
  9. Cassie Q's story, Geeks, was Monday's Signature Feature. Did you grab your copy of the signature banner so you can share your love for Cassie's story? If not, you can do that here! Today we're featuring her chosen excerpt. Cassie says... I like the excerpt because really shows what kind of person Mikeal is like, how he has to think about things for a long time and how something as simple as a kiss can throw him for a loop. It shows how attracted he is to the other boy, even though he's afraid to admit it. One of the things about the story that I like so much is how much Mikeal starts to come out of his shell and becomes more confident when he and the green haired boy (his name is Adam) start to date and fall in love. Want to read more? Check out the rest of the story here!
  10. This month features an older story by Cassie Q, but that is a big favorite of a lot of readers. It's one of her more lighthearted works, and the 17 chapters garnered over 90 reviews. Below, Cassie shared some of her favorites! Make sure you go check it out. Length: 64,139 Description: A shy Star Wars geek love falls in love with an outgoing anime geek. As friends, family and old flames get in the way, will the two find a way to make it work? Reviews: Headstall says… I loved, loved ,loved this story. These are wonderful characters that you brought to life. While there was lots of drama, none of it seemed contrived or over the top. Everything about this story came across as real and believable, nary a wrong note anywhere. I commend you and thank you for such a satisfying experience...Cheers and thanks...Gary Daddydavek says… Damn those geeky types sure are high maintenance and the sex scenes are smokin'. Cole Matthews says… Cassie, I love this story so much. I'm glad Mikeal found some resolution and is at peace with it. It has given me such pleasure. Thank you for writing and sharing it with us. 11. Cole Matthews' The Art of Being Gay was Monday's Signature Feature. Did you grab your copy of the signature banner so you can share your love for Cole's story? If not, you can do that here! Today we're featuring his chosen excerpt. Cole says... This excerpt gives you a glimpse at the tone and character of the story. It's a comedy, a farce really, and also gives the reader some of Roy's attributes. This segment also shows how Roy may not think he's ready to date, but fate really doesn't care about such reservations. Want to read more? Check out the rest of the story here!
  12. September's Signature Feature is The Art of Being Gay by Cole Matthews. This story came about because Cole was wondering what it was like for middle-aged guys struggling with these questions. He wanted the story to be organic, fresh, and not planned, so he posted each chapter as it was written, using the feedback from readers to influence each chapter. Length: 83,473 Description: Chad was outed, his life in shambles. His son, Justin, was his only lifeline to happiness. Roy had enough. His attempts to find love and happiness had failed. He decided to simply live without trying to find a companion in life. Together, they begin to learn what it really means to be gay. Reviews: Flamingo136 says... I've often wondered....just why is it so important to anyone as to what anyone's sexuality has to do with them as a person. Frankly, most people spend very little time having sex...sure we all think about it during our day but really it is not the only thing that defines us...gay or straight or anything in the middle. It makes me upset that a grown man, Chad, felt that he had to leave his home, family and friends in order to find himself. Shame on those who make it intolerable for Chad, making him feel that he must leave everything in order to find himself and happiness. Ok, I'm off my soapbox now....LOL...eagerly awaiting the next chapter and hoping that we get to ultimately see the butterfly emerge from his cocoon....Great beginning............Mike LadyDe says... And THAT's why I love cats!!!!! They bring people together. But Carlos said it best "a little lost pussy" Hilarious. Once again you put us on a rollercoaster, with no warning, and let us fly, with awkwardness, angsty nightmares, lost kitty and then yum yum!! Wonderful ending. Tyrell is an excellent friend who really knows his Roy Toy! Excellent chapter. Can't wait for the next chapter. Thanks, Cole Headstall says... Roy intrigues me like anyone does who is oblivious to themselves, yet understands what everyone else wants or needs. Sometimes we really are the last ones to know. Kendra's little talk with Roy was illuminating to both him and me. I love getting to know and understand a character as they interact with others...and I really enjoyed what and how you showed us about Roy through Kendra. Maybe I was wrong about the uplifting part...Chad's breakdown at work shows at the least that he is feeling guilt and the pain of separation from his son. His path appears lonely right now...like a broken toy. Remember to check back on Wednesday to see what excerpt Cole Matthews chose to share with readers! 13. Monday we featured Renee Steven's story, Reece's Choice, with a few of her favorite reviews. There's also a signature graphic you can download if you want to share your love of her story. Didn't see it? Don't worry you can still get it here. Renee says... I chose this scene because it's honestly my favorite scene in the entire story. I've actually had the spider thing happen to me, except I didn't have anyone else there at the time. I love putting some of my personal experiences into stories, and this was on that I was just waiting to use and I loved the way it turned out. Want to read more? Check it out here!
  14. Usually Renee's the one who posts the blog, not the person being featured, but if you didn't know, she's also one of our Signature Authors! This month we're featuring her story, Reece's Choice. Inspired by one of the prompts, this morphed into a longer story for readers to enjoy. Length: 25,461 Description: When confronted with his family’s bigotry, Reece is faced with the first of many choices. He can continue to tolerate the caustic atmosphere or he can walk away and finally focus on making himself happy. His cousin’s friend Dave unintentionally becomes the catalyst that forces Reece to make a choice. He can only hope it's the right one. Reviews: Valkyrie says... I really enjoyed this story. It was a nice, feel-good story that was a nice contrast to some of the darker stories I've been reading lately. Aditus says... Wonderful story, Renee! It was just the right dose of love and drama. I really enjoyed this. Skinnydragon says... Thanks Renee for a wonderful story. I'm happy it ended here. Maybe there can be future adventures the boys will get into, but it's certainly not necessary. The title actually says it all. Reece's choice. He made a good one! Cannd says... I enjoyed this alot. I loved these two characters. I would have loved an epilogue to know if they made it past the first year, but I guess it is a more realistic view of a new relationship that has all the signs of being right. They have high hopes and time will tell. I guess the hope for a definite success can't be helped by some of us romantics though. It had a nice ending and it seems like Dave's parents will help make up for his shitty parents. They seem to have a good chance. Thanks. 15. Did you catch Monday's post with Comicality's favorite reviews from Light Reaches Earth? Didn't get the graphic for your signature? You can still check it out here. Now we're going to feature Comsie's chosen excerpt. Comicality says... "This story was written for one of the GayAuthor Anthologies, and I really wanted to tell a story with a science fiction edge to it, but mostly existed as an emotionally involving tale of true connection and self discovery. No sexual content needed. Just a narrative on who we are and what we're searching for in this life. Happiness. I hope this story did the trick. I chose this section as an introduction to the meeting between both boys, and the intrigue and fascination that comes with them preparing to match wits on the idea of intelligent life itself in the universe. I hope it will get you all to read more." Want to read more? Check out the rest of the story here!
  16. Comicality's Light Reaches Earth is an intriguing take on the theme "Out of This World" from the 2010 anthology. Have you read it? Well maybe this will make you want to! Did you know it's also an eBook? If you want to share your love for Comsie's story, there's a signature ad below for you to download. Length:16,722 Description: Riley Jordan is a teen at a group home for boys. Disturbed and confused by his newfound feelings for someone of the same sex, he continues to hide it away from anyone who might see it. But when a new transfer comes into the group home it is more of a 'visitation' than Riley was prepared for. Reviews: Ricky says... "One of the things I really enjoy about your work, all of it, is how you bring what many see as core values to light as something to constantly question. Your writing stirs us from our complacency. Very much the way Richard Bach does in Illusions and of course Peck in the Road Less Traveled, but you do it in a much more, true to life example to bring about the application of comparison." An Amazon Customer says... "An absolute gem! Just love Comicality's writing style. Read the entire story in one sitting and had tears in my eyes at the ending. Thank you!" Rob says... "Very intriguing story that not only involves your emotions but also causes you to question some of your own beliefs. A captivating read that will keep you glued to the screen to the very end." Rick Gaz says... "Another great hit-to-be from Comicality. Lots of thought went it to it and it makes you think....do YOU believe? I certainly do. Happy tears at the end, something Comicality does best." Matt M says... "I was greatly moved by this story and I would just like to express my deepest gratitude for your phenomenal writing. The story is just beautiful on many levels, especially towards the end. Thank you so much for this compelling and gripping story; it really gave me a brilliant time =)" Remember to check back on Wednesday to see what excerpt Comsie chose to share with readers! Never fear, you can still do that here! Today we're featuring the excerpt Krista has picked to share with readers. Krista says... I picked this scene because the story really begins to take shape and the characters are settled in nicely. If the Excerpt needs a title it would be, "The First True Meeting". Want to read more? Check out the rest of the story here!
  18. This month's Signature feature is Krista's Standing in Shadows. This is one of Krista's most liked stories... and now you get to see why! Check out the thoughts of several of Krista's readers and make sure you download the signature ad if you want to share your love of this story! Length: 200,330 Description: This story is about a young man trying to break through the expectations set by his father and small-town life. Reviews: Jons317 says... Again, you are such a good writer. I don't know if it's a gender thing or what, but as a female you capture details, emotions, etc. differently than other authors. You make me feel like I'm reading a real story. When time is precious, to decide to read something worth it is a big decision. Charmed88 says... Corey is awesome. He sounds like my type of guy, cool, relax, kind, athletic, smart, strong and selfless and funny. I've been a huge fan of this story since I found it like a year ago. This story period is fantastic, a nice coming of age and journey to self discovery. Cole Matthews says... What charming, real characters whose affection is developing behind the words. I love that. Really great pacing and a well told story. Thanks for sharing. Remember to check back on Wednesday to see what excerpt Krista chose to share with readers! 19. I hope you caught Rob Colton's feature on Monday sharing his favorite reviews left by fans of Enforcer. There's also a banner you can add to your signature if you want to share your love for this story. Get it here! Today we're sharing an excerpt Rob chose. Rob says... It was hard picking one. It's the opening of Chapter 5, where Buzz meets Jed. I like it because it shows the power of their attraction, but then goes to show how messed up Buzz is, the way he was brought up, hiding his feelings vs Jed, who grew up in a more open, modern thinking home. Want to read more? Check out the rest of the story here!
  20. Are you a fan of Rob Colton? I know I am! This month we're featuring his 2nd installment of the immensely popular Timber Pack Chronicles. Enforcer features Jed's story, though we get to see more of the other characters we loved from the first book. Length: 58,419 Description: Jed Stone suffers in silence, damaged and poisoned from his fight with the rogue wolf. But he puts on a smile and does his duty, making sure his Timber Pack mates are safe. Buzz Hinske belongs to a traditional lycan pack. Challenges and violence seem to be their way of life. When they come together at the annual Lycan Conclave, Jed is elated at finding his destined mate. Unfortunately, Buzz has already been promised to another... Reviews: sjohnjohnc says... I think I'm like quite a few of Rob Colton's fans here; we really do enjoy reading and rereading his stories. I've been rereading these last ten chapters in anticipation of chapter 11 and I have to say I'm incredibly impressed with the character development. Sometimes hero characters (the stronger and dare I say more hyper masculine characters) tend to be clones, reflections or rotations of strong characters we've been introduced to before. Which leads me to say how impressed I am with the difference between Colton is from Jed. Yes, Colton is the alpha of the little pack, but Jed is strong in his own right. I admire the shades of strong characters created by R. Colton; while Colton chases after Parker, I'm thinking back to the very romantic pebbles thrown at a window in Book 1, Jed is patient and waits. Yes, Jed admires Colton's ability to hold off for a year, but his own strength to let the Buzz make a choice with the possibility of Buzz choosing convention over fate, is uniquely him. I really must thank Rob Colton for such excellent distractions. belann says... Rob, you write the best sex/love scenes: not only hot but also very beautiful.A mixture of aggressiveness and tenderness. My heart almost broke when Jed told Buzz his shirt was all he had of him. Buzz had a difficult decision to make and I'm glad he chose Jed and he's giving up on his fears to give himself to his mate. Great chapter! Cannd says... That was a really beautiful chapter! There were a bunch of really special moments that you did a great job writing. I am so glad Parker and Colton are keeping Wylie. I worried for a moment there, that his father would be found. One of those moments was the emotion that Parker showed when he feared they'd take Wylie. It would have wrecked him. He loved the boy from the first time he picked him up. Do they know if Sandra was killed by the hunters? It was so funny when Wylie called Parker 'pup.' lol I have a feeling he is going to make a great Alpha wolf someday. It was nice to see Buzz officially become Timber pack and of course seeing the kids become pack and Wylie to call Colton Dad was so sweet. The fact that Wylie's name was the same as that boy's was bittersweet. While I get Buzz's happiness that the child would grow up loved no matter who and what he was is a nice thought. I just can't get the image of Christopher looking to Buzz for help right before they killed him. He looked to the man he had slept with and who was the only one of them who wasn't so hateful. I am surprised Buzz has dealt with that as well as he has. I would feel really guilty if I were him, b/c he was targeted to prove a point to Buzz. They may have found out anyhow, but this way it must have felt like he was partly responsible for his death, esp when he could do nothing to save him. I hope the story isn't over. I know that Derek won't let this go as easily as he pretended to. I think he is going to want to have the last say and going to want to kill his abomination of a brother and also show Colton up. I guess we'll see. If it was the end, then it was a great one. It was adorable that Wylie climbed up for a ride on colton. The pack is stronger and such a safe place. Though, I also hope we get to be there for the official mating of the guys. I am definitely excited though, and already looking forward to Zef's story that we'll all be begging for! lol no pressure or anything. I hope we get to be there for that mating bite. It was a hard earned moment for those two. I am wondering if Colton really did send the registry for their mating. I have a feeling he may have. He seems to have taken to being an Alpha amazingly well. They really have built a great pack in the year since they became one. I love how you continued to develop the characters and their personalities through this. Parker makes the cutest dad...so worried about him and colton really surprised me with how well he took to fatherhood. I hope Wylie can come to trust the others like he trusts his dads. Inky says... Fantastic!!! As usual you make me cry, laugh and do that really big sigh and smile. I had it all wrong in the last chapter, but no matter my late night reading and rambling, you always deliver a powerful punch. I mean that in a good way. Lol. I am sad that this story will end soon, but I am totally hoping that there is more to come. I still don't trust Derek..., I so want a story with Alpha Poundstone and Zef...., the Hunters have to be investigated..., Christopher's mother is dead..., was she murdered..., is his unknown dad dead as well..., and Christopher's behavior indicates that he was somewhere that he had to fight for everything to exist. I am just greedy for more of your work so I will keep hoping and pondering until I see you post a new installment of Timber Pack Chronicles. Rob, you turned me into a junkie with your ultra amazing writing. Carlos Hazday says... After trying my hand at penning a story, I have a new-found respect for authors that can create rich characters and surround them with action and suspense but still provide a satisfying ( read happy ) ending. You sir, have my admiration for doing so time and time again. Thank you for sharing your gift with us. C Remember to check back on Wednesday to see what excerpt Rob chose to share with readers! Never fear, you can check it out here and download your copy to help share your love of his story. Today, K.C. has an excerpt he wanted to share with you! K.C. says... The nightlight, the city, friendship, betrayal, love and hate, this story has it all with a modern twist. Want to read more? Check out the rest of the story here!
  22. This month we're featuring K.C.'s Pour Me Another. This story was the Reader's Choice Award winner for a Promising Author back in 2013. Why don't you give it a read and find out why it won? (Hint... a lot of people looooved it!) Length: 78,802 Description: ***Winner of the 2013 Readers Choice Awards for the Best Story by a Promising Author *** The city is full of all kinds of people. Being a bartender, Asher Burkhart has seen them all. Atleast he thinks has until Michael Waters shows up. Reviews: Flamingo136 says... KC, I just "found" your story and read it without stopping; well I did have bathroom breaks but beyond that I was determined to absorb every word as quickly as I possily could. The story was very entertaining, characters compelling and I was blissfully snarled in this world hoping that everything would work out, knowing that it probably wouldn't.....maybe it will...hoping....hoping.....finally !!!!! I really enjoyed Pour Me Another from beginning to end...it must have been maddening to your readers to follow in real time; I feel like I've cheated ...but I don't feel the least bit guilty. You have been added to my listed of authors to follow....what pressure for you....LOL Thanks for sharing; I'm going to read your other works now................Mike Shadowrunner says... Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful story with us. It was great! Ups, downs, tears and kisses. The best I've ever read. You're amazing!!! :D Aaron Alan Addams says... Another wonderful story! I read the entire thing in the last twenty four hours. Your talent of writing characters that make the reader, care for... No more than that. Fall in love with them is remarkable. Your storyline is believable, well thought out and funny. (I have my phone read stories to me when I'm busy doing things. I listen with earbuds. My coworkers think I'm listening to music. I do get looks when I burst out with a laugh every now and then.) As I read the epilogue, I felt sad. It felt as if dear friends were moving away and I was never going see them again. Congratulations on a job well done. I only have one suggestion. Sequel? Slytherin says... Thank you for sharing this wonderful story, K.C ! It's been quite a journey following these two wonderful characters. l love this story Remember to check back on Wednesday to see what excerpt K.C. chose to share with readers! 23. Did you miss Monday's blog where we announced Nephylim's Damphir is this month's Signature Author feature? You can still check it out here and see what her reviewers had to say about the story! Don't forget to download your copy of the signature graphic if you want to support Nephy and promote her story. If the reviews weren't enough to tempt you to read Damphir, Nephy has picked an excerpt to share with readers: Check out the very dramatic beginning to Nephylim's story in this excerpt she picked to share: Want to read more? Check out the rest of the story here!
  24. This month we're featuring a story I happen to personally enjoy very much: Damphir by Nephylim. There are a lot of twists and turns, and a ton of really interested characters to meet along with the main character, Glory. Length: 61,144 Story Description: A werewolf called Rover, a cat who can fly (among other things) a confused vampire, a spiteful faery and a testy human all confined in the same house and trying to learn to live together. A strange mix and a strange story. Story Reviews: CW Prince says... I get so wrapped up in your stories that when I get to the final chapter I almost want to stop reading so the story never ends. This story was no exception. A wonderful story and one I am sure to revist again soon. You never cease to amaze me with your talent and ability to wrap me into the story and take me into the very folded fabric of each and every character. Thank-you! Seraph74 says... Awww, what a beautiful ending to a beautiful story!!! I'll admit that I'm one of few gay men who don't actually appreciate sex scenes within a well-written story; it's a bit like a musical can be - the storyline stops while everyone sings (fucks), and then resumes once the music is over. But this chapter... wow. Beautiful music all it's own, and I didn't skip over one bit of it like I normally do. This chapter alone puts you into a league of your own, Nephy; well done!! And while I should be satisfied that I have just read a fabulous story that I will enjoy reading again (especially now that I know it has a happy ending; I am a sucker for happy endings), I must admit I am gloriously (no pun intended) happy that there will be a sequel to enjoy. Keep up the great work, Nephy... 'tis truly a treasure to behold!!! Michael9344 says... I think what interested so much in this story is how fascinating Glory is. So fascinating that each and every thing about him is intriguing; including his future i have no idea where Glory and Sar are headed, but I'm sure as hell going for the ride;). Did I mention how good a story teller you are? Kitt says... It may seem odd to add my review such a long time after you published the last chapter, but i have just recently found the sight and am now working my way through. I love your quirky characters and the crazy situations they find themselves in. I find myself reading "just 5 more minutes" till i am late leaving for work or up till the wee hours, So, will we see our little cat getting into more trouble in the future? Thanks for sharing your work. Comicfan says... I wonder if I am the only one who caught your last comment. But can it last? Nephy, that is just cruel. Glory is remembering far more than ever before. In the beginning there was just his name and the dim memory of blanket. Now he had a mother who died when he was ripped from her arms and at ten someone he loved who died to protect him. It appears that Glory is gathering glory in the rest the world. I wonder if that is what brought such a change to Pixie. Still want to see/hear more of what happens to Valentine. The sucker deserves the worst. Till your final chapter, I simply sit and wait. Remember to check back on Wednesday to see what excerpt Nephylim chose to share with readers!
