    Last Post Wins

Last Post Wins This year, the topic Last Post Wins (found in Forum Games and Humor) celebrates it’s ninth year and is probably the longest running game with thousands of replies and a few hundred pages. The first post starting the game was on June 7, 2007 by Razor. The rules are simple, the last person to make a post is the winner. One of the past rounds lasted for over a year before it was finally closed to declare a winner. The shortest amount of time has been a month. On average a round may last 2 to 3 months before it’s closed. There is no preset date and/or time to close it, it’s done randomly. Any of the members of the Moderation and Admin Teams can close and restart each round. Generally, I’m the one who closes one round and starts the next round by announcing the winner, partly due to the fact that I play the game too. The following is a partial list of the winners of Last Post Wins. Renee and myself have been unable to find all the winners. In no particular order the winners are: Bumblebee Jian_Sierra Mikelaing14 K.C. Xtro Slytherin Joann414 DaddyDaveK Aditus Ghostboy Greg_A TalonRider Valkyrie Drew Espinosa Bucket Clochette Echo Parker Zombie
  6. We haven't done a "fun" blog post for a while, so I thought maybe it was time to bring them back. However, instead of doing a crossword or a word search, I decided to do an Author Scramble. Now, to make this a little bit harder, I've removed all capitalization. I'll reveal the answers in the Weekly Wrap Up on Sunday. I'm not going to reveal how I chose the authors, as that would make it much too easy. Have fun!!!! mcgfaitmron rberot rxe diunknq lwmof kicn dbray thitomy m efmuirgu rnoxy nonidnaygrks yllotflawehn eaynd roma imavkssjea uepfdtli riptsi nrjaoh r1r2k9aaiug
  7. When I was a youngster my eldest brother made a homemade version of Waddington's Go, a boardgame where you had to travel around the world and collect souvenirs from various different countries. It was a really technical game, you had to travel around an outer board to collect and earn money, secure a destination and book tickets via a range of travel options to your destination, then use an inner board to get from your departure city to your destination without landing on a disaster zone. The winner was the person with the designated number of souvenirs at the end of the game. I remember on one epic occasion the whole family got involved and for something like a whole week, every night after dinner we would all gather round the table and play the game, trying to collect like 50 souvenirs each. Madness, but so much fun for a young kid growing up. So what was or is your favourite boardgame, and what fond memories do you have of playing the game?
  8. Ok. A game somewhat simlar to a few going around at the moment, however this one falls down to names. The game will kick off with a famous person's name. You take the last letter of the first name to become the first letter of the next persons name and the last letter of the surname to become the first letter of the next persons surname. so it is not as simple or straight forward as it would seem. An example. Starting Name Alfred Hitchcock Next Name Donna Karan I hope those instructions are relativly clear. Ok so let's kick it off then. Name: Nelson Mandela
  9. Alright people, this came up in discussion the other day at the pub and it got me thinking. I am very proud of not having guilty pleasures. I feel no shame in telling my friends that I love Glee, or that I listen to Nickelback out of choice, or that i think Taylor Swift rocks. These are all things i feel no shame in. But as it turns out, I do have a guilty pleasure that i don't share with my friends (and no, it's not GA) I watch Say Yes to the Dress on Youtube. why, i have no idea, but i have seen every available episode. it is not something i can explain rationally. but there you go, there's my guilty pleasure. Sharing time!
