  1. In the year 2012 an astronomer discovers that in six months an asteroid will collide with the earth destroying all life. NO problem! A highly trained international team of astronauts is ready to save the earth. They didn't count on a stow-away. Raccoon on a Space Shuttle Staring: Robert Hayes as Mission Commander Stryker Leslie Nielson as the President Billy Bob Thornton as the folksy Mission Control Guy Scott Bakula as the nice, sincere guy that gets killed in a loud grotesque manner
  2. Is America Punch-Drunk? American history is lousy with them. The twentieth century started with one. World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the 50 year Cold War, the Gulf War, Somalia, a hundred other conflicts that only historians remember and finally rounding out the nineties, we just couldn
  3. Ok the latest hoop of reality-show cheese to be rolled our way is a huge, reeking pile of crap called God or the Girl. In it, several young men try to decide on whether or not to enter the priesthood. Can you say very sad closet cases boys and girls? The Catholic Church, and Christianity in general, has been playing this idiotic head game with gay people for millinia. AND they have the NERVE to be surprised when the immature, sexually confused people that they bring on to be priests years later turn out to be really F**ked up?? Why would anyone want to be a part of a religion that is more than happy to forgive murders, thieves and rapists but someone being gay and honest about it is a deal breaker? Religion is the biggest con game in the history of the world. It's rather brilliant if you think about it. Somewhere up in the sky is this omnipotent being that controls the universe but he is apparently a codependent bitch that needs to control your life on a micro level and can't handle money. He wants to be worshiped by beings of much less significance than ants in the grand scheme of the universe, constantly needs money but HE LOVES YOU as long as you aren't GAY! OH- and if you ask for proof, you are told that you are too small and insignificant to possibly understand. So- we get to watch 5 little brain-washed closet-queens vie for the position of alter-boy fondler on A&E???? It is ridiculous, nauseating, vulgar, contemptible, vile, repulsive, idiotic, ignorant, immoral, incomprehensible and... just fine since it is done in the name of religion. Pardon me while I run off and puke.
  4. I introduced my best friend in high school to my best friend from college and they got married and had 5 kids -- all of whom still call me "Uncle". Then his brains turned to mush, he married the Whore of Babylon, had other kids and forgot about his first family. I've not spoke with him in ages. Last time we talked he apologized for only calling when he needed money -- them promptly asked for money. The oldest boy is angry, but still wants his dads love. He's given L second chance after second chance; oldest daughter changed her last name to her moms' dad's last name; second boy is just sad (he has no money to pay child support so W could get new clothes for school but the last time W saw him he had a brand new PlayStation and X-Box. Not talked to #4 in private so not sure what his thoughts are and I doubt that #5 remembers anything about him ever being around. He got my number yesterday from his oldest. They were on their way back from some trip they took [with $$ that should be going towards back child support]. He want's me to "meet his family". Resisted the urge to remind him I have met his family and perhaps he's forgotten about them and his responsibilities to the young adults who are STILL HIS CHILDREN? Weather was bad last night so I had assumed I'd lucked out and avoided this meeting. Nope. They apparently stopped somewhere last night. He called just a few minutes ago and will be in town in about 90-minutes. I could -- and probably should -- have lied and said I was busy with something but didn't. Meeting in a public place so less likely to blow up and tell him what a worthless human being I think he actually is. Wish me luck.
  5. Once upon a time movies were original. Many were adaptations of novels, short stories or plays. Sadly- times have changed. Many of todays movies are regurgitations of successful movies of yesterday. This Christmas season, there were four BIG movies that were re-writes in part or in total. The one that did the best, Will Smith's I Am Legend was a post-apocalyptic horror story, re-did Charlton Heston's Omega Man of the seventies which was in turn based on a novel. Wil Smith's version of the movie is a rare exception where the rewrite surpasses the original. Another type of movie is the franchise. These are series of movies like Star Wars, Star Trek, Bond movies, the Aliens movies, etc. Franchise movies have a built in fan base and will make lots of money whether or not it sucks. This Christmas season's franchise movie was Aliens Vs Predatator Requiem and it stank up the big screen. Predatators are BAD. Aliens are BAD. Put them together and you should have a winner right? Wrong. Requiem was the right name for this movie: it may be the funeral of the franchise. When one does Sci-fi, for it to work there are two elements that come into play: suspension of disbelief and a logical plot. One depends on the viewer and the other is a function of the writer. Requiem was a tense, bloody gore-fest that ended with the nuking of thousands of people, aliens and one predator. It left me wishing that I had just bought the comic book. More types of movies: Movie of the Weak: low-budget, made for TV movie which is a waste of consciousness the first time. Independent Film: low-budget, weird piece of shite that sucks and there is no one to blame since it is independent. B Movie; short for BARF movie. 50s and 60s were the height of this low. Cult Classic Movies which have 50 fans nation-wide and no one else gives a shite about. B & W movie: Barf and Wretch movies: gross, bloody and horrifying eg. Nightmare on Elm Street
  6. Head to head, the US can't stand on the same field as Canada. For health care, human rights, progressive vision, a population that understands and supports the value of diversity and dismisses religious fanatics and bigotry: Canada has it all over the US. This is one match the US had better sleaze its way out of of they'll be reminded what an embarrassment that they really are: the spoiled wretched weak children of strong parents who deserved better: trading freedom for fear, looting the wealth of generations yet to come and allowing the nation to slip into a neo-feudalism that is in fact no better than the third-world warlords that we can't defeat with state of the art firepower. Now the 2008 election is upon us and what wretched excuses for humanity do the two parties offer us? Queen Hillery? Obama? Huckleberry hound- the Nazi dog from Arkansas who would have sent us all to concentration camps? John "I crashed my plane" McCain? Fred "Law & Order" Thomas? Pardon my French but Jesus! These clowns couldn't come up with a single working brain if both parties worked together. We have traded the voting booth for a suicide machine. It is time to move. The bloated caucus of America is dying of dementia and it's time to get out before the whole shit house collapses upon us.
  7. Remember, remember the fifth of November, The gunpowder, treason and plot, I know of no reason Why gunpowder treason Should ever be forgot. People shouldn't fear their Goverenments. Goverenments should fear their people. We are oft to blame in this, 'Tis too much proved - that with devotion's visage And pious action we do sugar o'er The devil himself. I dare do all that may become a man; Who dares do more is none. Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof. A desperate disease requires a dangerous remedy. __________________________________________________________________ Least you think we are immune, secure from tyranny's doom, Read this law that was just made, tell me that you are not afraid.... __________________________________________________________________ The U.S. House of Representatives recently passed HR 1955, titled the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007. It was passed with 404 votes in favor. A close reading within an historical context

    Drive By

About 1am last Friday I took a break from the sci-fi channel to amble off to the kitchen for a sandwich. Shortly after arriving there I hear a series of loud POPs like a 9mm and I hit the deck. I thought I heard impacts hitting the house. After the last of 8 shots, a car or truck punched it and left the area. I looked for some time and found no evidence of gunfire... until this morning. I found 3 X .380 bullet holes- two in the facia and one in a large window in the front of the house. Inside I followed a trail of destruction as the .380 entered the living room, passed through the drapes, hit an antique piece of furniture and came to rest on the carpet. I hate living in the damned hood. This wasn't for us. More than likely the geniuses that did it were after someone else and got the wrong house. My Dad took it in stride: he said that it was the first time since Korea anybody had shot at him and it made him feel young again. I have to wonder what it is about and are we going to see more lead.
  9. I know that there are political differences and all but why is it that the closet-case weirdos always seem to end up being family values republicans? We've seen it over and over and over and over... The hypocrisy of this individual is astonishing! Check it out. This isn't about politics. It's about an ill f**ker who stood on the anti-gay grandstand while he was giving $20 blow jobs in public rest rooms. Fla. lawmaker arrested in gay sex sting Advocate News July 12, 2007 Source Link A Florida state representative and co-chairman of John McCain's presidential campaign was arrested Wednesday for offering to perform oral sex on a male undercover cop in a Titusville, Fla., public restroom, police said. Rep. Bob Allen, R-Merritt Island, was booked into the Brevard County jail on a charge of solicitation to commit prostitution, the Orlando Sentinel reported, then released on $500 bail. The charge, a second-degree misdemeanor, is punishable by a year in county jail and a $500 fine. Titusville police told the Sentinel that they were carrying out a burglary detail in a city park when they saw a disheveled, unshaven man enter and leave the park restroom three times. They decided to send in an undercover officer; minutes later, they told the Sentinel, the man knocked on the stall door and offered to perform oral sex on the officer for $20. "After he was arrested, he (Allen) mentioned he was a state legislator," Lt. Todd Hutchinson told the paper. Allen, 48, is married with a daughter, according to his legislative bio. First elected in 2000, Allen is the chairman of the House Committee on Energy. He received the Rainbow Democratic Club of Orlando's worst possible rating. In March, he co-sponsored HB269, the Lewdness and Indecent Exposure Bill, which proposed enhanced penalties for "offenses involving unnatural and lascivious acts or exposure or exhibition of sexual organs committed within specified distance of certain locations." The bill never made it to a vote. About six years ago, he was one of 21 Florida legislators to sign Gov. Jeb Bush's friend-of-the-court brief supporting the state's ban on gays adopting children, Rainbow Democratic Club secretary Carol Bartsch told Gay.com The ACLU had sued to challenge the ban, which is still on Florida's books. "Practically as soon as he got into office, he wanted to go on record as being anti-gay," Bartsch said. Due to be termed out of the House next year, Allen, however, had been considered a likely state Senate candidate, Sentinel writer John Kennedy blogged Wednesday. The McCain campaign announced Allen's coming aboard March 21. "Florida Republicans have an expectation of tested leadership and John McCain's exemplary record of military and elected service, coupled with his proven ability to create reform, will elevate him in our state," the campaign quoted Allen as saying. On Thursday, Allen told reporters he plans to plead not guilty and to stay in his elected post. "I am going to vigorously fight this," Allen said. "I am not resigning my office, because the people who elected me want me to do a good job, and I am going to do a good job for them in finishing this term . . . This is an ugly and unpleasant situation that has been thrust on me and my family. It is not true. It is inaccurate, and therefore (I'm) not guilty, and I will be standing strongly for that." Allen and his attorney did not take media questions and urged journalists to be accurate in following the case. "People tend to take the fast news and make fast conclusions," Allen said. "I would ask people not to jump to any conclusions on this and to be fair and slow down and look at it." (Barbara Wilcox and Michelle Garcia, The Advocate) This piece of crap makes me want to puke. It is very sad- it really is. The reason this guy was against gay people being able to adopt is he assumes that all gays are as big a pile of crap that he is. Sell out, hypocrit, whore, republican. God damn his mama must be proud. $20 rest room blow job whore. Jesus Horatio Christ: I can't even imagine anything with less class. Lot's of times these guys come to Jesus or come out of the closet. If this creep comes out of the closet, I'm saying I hope he goes back in because we don't want him.
  10. I enjoy a political discussion. Really- I do but so many people are going off half-cocked that if you've got half a brain, you overqualified to debate with these asshats.. err I mean people. I find the ignorance of historical facts and the assumption of a certain ideology to be the most damning offenses. Often you find yourself debating with someone who has nothing more substantial to base their argument on than mama sez... Let us examine Asshat #1 >>To rightwing moderates.... There is no such thing. Right-wingers are what they are. Moderates believe in a middle way that avoids the excesses of left or right. To address either group in such a manner is offensive. If you wonder where I sit, I'm a moderate. I don't belong to either side and despise them equally. Asshat #1 continued >>I used to vote rightwing a few years ago... Then it's your fault. Quit your bitching and take your medicine. You voted for these asshats. I did NOT. Like peace symbols, lava lamps and mid-grade pot, it seems that it has become fashionable to be anti-war again. At one point the war in Iraq had a approval rating of over seventy percent. I wonder how many of the anti-war posters on the net crying about "the illicit war in Iraq" changed their mind about the war AFTER they voted for it? After it became apparent that it was NOT going to be the antiseptic video game than the first Gulf War. Apparently there are a lot of them. Ahh- you say you were lied to? You were fooled? You wanted to be fooled. You wanted Iraq in a bag and Saddam's head on a pole. You wanted to drive your SUV and not worry about it. You wanted a stable economy with predictable energy. The only thing is that you didn't figure on was the cost. These Asshats disgust me: supporting a war when its popular, joining the peace-niks when it gets boring or unpopular. What's the problem? No smart bomb pictures on TV this time? Did little Timmy's daddy from next door come home in separate bags? This is REAL WAR boys and girls. An ugly, wretched affair that takes place in the mud and the blood and consumes humanity like a wild fire consumes a forest. Once you start a war like this, there is no easy way to stop it. Like a fire it will burn completely out of of anyones control and there is no way that 70% of Americans can avoid the responsibility for it. It's just not right or fair to the men that have to fight this war to change your mind while they sacrifice in our name. When the current War in Iraq started, it had an approval rating of over 70%. Now, almost 5 years and thousands of casualties later, that approval rating is down to the mid-twenties. That means just about 50% of Americans are ASSHATS: asshat voters who thought it would be easy and lead to cheap gas. Asshat politicians who jump on bandwagons when they are popular and are quick to jump off when they go bad. Just plain asshats that base their opinion on what is popular at the moment.
  11. Jerry Falwell, right-wing hatemonger and religious fanatic, was found unconscious in the office from which he oversees the Culture War at Liberty University today. He died a short time later. Falwell first came to prominence in the late 1970s when he lead a motley coalition of religious nuts, skinheads, neo-Nazis and slack-jawed yokels called the Moral Majority which handed Ronald "Bonzo" Reagen and George Herbert Skippy Walker Bush the 1980 elections and an unprecedented dynasty of political corruption, ineptitude, bungling that still afflicts us today. During the Reagen-Bush years, Falwell's influence was all over the administration. Falwell influenced foreign policy by demanding blind allegiance to Israel at all cost because of scripture. Falwell's "moral leadership" was behind the Reagen Administrations complete failure to contain the AIDS epidemic in its early stages. In fact Ronald Reagen did not publicly say the word AIDS until 1988: a full eight years and hundreds of thousands of deaths into the epidemic. Even today Falwell's organizations fight safe-sex, contraception and even vaccination of teen-aged girls against common infections that cause cancer and sterility. Now almost thirty years and 20 million deaths later, Falwell is destined for a special part of hell reserved for persons responsible for millions of deaths. He will roast side by side with some of histories biggest assholes like Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot and Mao. Good bye and good riddance too bad rubbish. Too bad this turd wasn't flushed years ago!
