What's up, buttercup? So did you get to use that expression on Valentines Day? I know I'm late and maybe should have presented this last week, but oh well . So I remember when I was in elementary school, getting a box of Valentines Cards and filling out for everyone in my class, boys and girls. I was thinking to doing that this year at work but when I mentioned it to someone, they thought I might be setting myself up for a visit with H.R. So, did you do anything to spread your love this year, and if so, how? Or do you hate Valentine's Day all together? Now a request to everyone! If you look at the GA Classic at the bottom, it is empty We have been using a list and we have now run out! So if you know of a story you think we should feature in the weekly update, make sure to drop me a PM @wildone. This can mean any finished story. I shall compile a list and then Renee and I will start providing a link and the blub for the stories that you suggest! Even if it has been featured in the past and you think it should be featured again, let me know! For series, let's try to feature up to completed books. This should be your place to feature a favourite story of yours . Now, shall we visit what the GA Blog brought us this week? On Monday, Renee introduced us to a new Featured Story by @Thorn Wilde On Wednesday it was another round of Q & A! Lots of Authors contributed to this! Then we had an Anthology Thursday this week! Great responses from different people all working to get their ideas going. Finally Friday arrived and the all Renee week ended with a couple more prompts from @comicfan Anthologies 2019 Spring Anthology: In the Stars - Due May 15th 2019 Spring Anthology: Snapped - Due May 15th Blog Opportunities Ask An Author: Send your questions for your favorite authors to @Carlos Hazday (no questions = no Ask An Author) Story Recommendations: Open to all GA authors & readers. Nothing to complain about age this week I wanted to discuss something, but this blog would be then directed to the Pit Let's talk about unicorns 🦄 I'm a big Tolkien fan and I have no difficulty after reading the stories and believing that all the species that are in Middle Earth, might have at one time been actually on earth. Like maybe prior to the dinosaurs and Middle Earth was destroyed due to some calamity too. Or, what if we finally find life on another planet and it is actually Middle Earth Not sure if the Hobbits or Elves and Dwarves would have mastered space travel though. Heck, they still get around by horse, horse and buggy or on foot So what do I know about unicorns, sadly not too much. So why don't you inform me all you know about the mysterious animal. Do you believe they ever existed on earth? I read one story by @Cia that ended with a fair bit of unicorn action (not like that, you pervs ) but haven't read many other stories of them. Maybe recommend a story or two We had a good week this week on the GA News Blog. Monday, our Review Team led by @Parker Owens brought all of us a new story to check out: Thursday, it was time to scream from the rooftops!! Okay, maybe a bit dramatic But you can let everyone know if you are participating and if you have started, add a snippet if you want Friday was Cole Matthews' turn at the wheel to bring us a couple of new prompts on Prompt Friday: Speaking of unicorns, do you think Comsie roamed the earth 15 years ago with them? I don't think so Check out his unicorn free blog: I learned a few new words this week, how about you? crux, achondrite, bathtub, bunting, beckon, battledore, cirrhosis Upcoming Writing Events Leap of Faith Anthology! Story about a man that is learning how is childhood is still controlling him in ways that he never truly realized. Ansel has a boyfriend and good friends that help him as he finds a way forward. Satisfying ending, but would not mind a sequel or even a longer multi-chapter look at this group of characters.
