    Chapter 12

Chapter 12 Death Card Mike opened his eyes and found that he was no longer in Empress Kelsey’s arms. She was on the floor, like everyone else. The spell worked. The Queen of the Forest’s spell worked. Allison woke up and looked over at Mike. She jumped up and bounded into his arms. She told him that she loved him. Mrs. Snow shook her head brushing off the dirt from a pile of wreckage. Then Chase and TJ woke up. They looked at each other and were happy that the other was still alive. Alec wok

    Chapter 11

Chapter 11 Chaos Jessant, Naomi, Allison, Alec and Mrs. Snow got to the doors of the school. The five of them walked into the lair of the queen. Mike turned around as the doors flew open and Chase shot a lightning bolt toward the other warriors. Jessant blocked it with her sword. Allison noticed TJ and ran to him. “Guys, the queen is here, we need to fight her,” Mike said as Allison hugged him. “Where? I don’t see her,” Jessant asked. “She went into the other room, it looked like a bal

    Chapter 10

Chapter 10 Dahlia Mike, Chase and Jana looked ahead. The young girl turned around and looked toward the trio. Mike recognized her. It was Dahlia. “Nice to see you mike, have you brought me some friends to play with? Well, I don’t want them. I only want you. Now lets get them out of here!” Dahlia screamed as she through her arms open. Chase and Jana flew back and their backs slammed against the wall. Dahlia moved an arm to one of the trophies in the trophy case. The golden statue started to

    Chapter 9

Chapter 9 Hall of Blood Mike and Chase walked up the halls that seemed to be bleeding constantly. Mike got a chill and Chase drew his dagger. Mike pulled out the Italian long sword and stabbed the wall. The sword sunk into the wall, like a bullet through flesh. He withdrew his sword from the easily pierced wall and put it back in its sheath. Ahead of them was the door into the gymnasium. The gym was located in the center of the school. “In there, that’s where she is,” Chase said quietly.

    Chapter 8

Chapter 8 Infiltration Dear Diary, I don’t understand him, why did he have to kill TJ? I didn’t sleep last night; I couldn’t see anything but the blood on his shirt. Well, I hope that Mike is off somewhere; thinking about suicide. I’ve listened to My Immortal countless times today. Maybe there is a spell in that song we could do. I think there is. Why can’t I stop crying? Is it because my boyfriend killed T.J? Or, could it be because TJ is dead. Now that I think about it, I really liked him

    Chapter 7

Chapter 7 Lost Allison left the room and Mike could barely sit there. He fell asleep. His eyes bolted open. He looked at the clock; it’s 8:30 A.M. His chest hurt. He touched it and felt blood. His legs were numb. Slowly he put a finger into the crevasse above his heart. Oh my god, this is where I hit him, Mike realized. Suddenly sharp pains jabbed into his chest. Mike ran upstairs and found no sign of the night before. No broken windows, and he found no blood. He ran outside and into the f

    Chapter 6

Chapter 6 First Strike For several weeks there had been no reports that can be related to vampires and the three finished their training. Dahlia had not been seen but this had not concerned anybody. Allison learned all the vampire magic dismantling spells and was confident in her ability to perform them. Mike and TJ could do the cyclone spell that Jessant and Naomi did on the night of the mosquitoes. Naomi had opened up quite a bit to the three. She told them that she is five-eighths elfish,

    Chapter 5

Chapter 5 Training The next week was full of the VHSSV finding a suitable creature for the beginning of training. Alec gave the kids a lesson everyday about vampires. They learned about the poison, fangs, transformation, and reports of sightings. Mike walked to the ringing phone and answered it in the droning tone he usually uses, “Hello…uh huh…yeah…the church?…okay…love you too…bye! Father, I’m going to CJC! Bye!” Mike flashed out the door and walked to the church. As he was walking to th

    Chapter 4

Chapter 4 Understanding “If she is a vampire,” Mike asked with a tone of concern in his voice, “then who else is?” TJ continued, “And how do we fight them?” “We do not know who else is. As to how you will fight them, we will solve that,” Mrs. Snow said with the same ease as if she had said it everyday. Allison hesitated as she asked, “Did you know about Jon?” “No, but we did set the traps for the vampires,” Mrs. Snow responded. “What traps?” Mike said. “The crucifix,” TJ realize

    Chapter 3

Chapter 3 Attacked It was after Christmas and the group was closer together. Gifts were exchanged and thanks were said, but no one had heard from Dahlia since the break had started. They suspected she was on vacation. The break ended and the three went back to school. Heading to Mr. Cook’s room, they overheard gossip that Mr. Cook was not in school. Some said that he had disappeared. Most just thought that he had drunk too much and didn’t come to school. When they got to class, they found

    Chapter 1

Chapter 1 Gemini The icy winds hovered over the heads of the four most morbid teens in South Valendale. They attend Manner High School. All was silent and no one else was in the woods. Mike Creld pointed out Gemini, his astrological sign, to his best friend TJ. Mike’s girlfriend, Allison, hated stargazing, but she goes for Mike. Mike’s cousin, Jon, was in the back of the group. “Jon hurry up damn it,” TJ groaned impatiently. Allison looked over at Jon and noticed how quiet he was. Jon was

    Chapter 10

Chapter 10 State of the World -Now our kids can't go out and play, that's the state of the world today. A bright light filled the room and Jacob’s eyes were filled with the light bouncing off of the face of his lover. Damian slid his fingers through Jacob’s hair and under his head, lifting it slightly. Jacob smiled and brushed his lips against Damian’s. “What happened?” Jacob said with a minor shake in his voice. “You blacked out,” Damian whispered, “Don’t worry, you’re not in any
