President Obama has the task of cleaning up the mess left by President Bush who ruined our great nation and leaving it in shambles. Unemployment was at an all-time high, banks were going bankrupt, the economy was shot to s**t!, the Stock Market crashed with countless number of people losing everything they had, the auto industry was crashing at a rapid speed, and an Anti-Obama campaign was launched by the New York Times Magazine with Newt Genrich as their poster Bigot! It became socially acceptable to disrespect the new President elect in public, print, radio, with Whites who have a problem with a Black man in the White House with members of the White LGBT (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender) community joining this new force of racism. The first 100 days of serving in office are the hardest and critical times for a new President. The White LGBT community began ranting and raving about President Obama ignoring their needs. They cried betrayal and started demanding that needs be addressed or else! Threatening and bullying President Obama didn’t fare well at all in the Black community. Looking back at things, these same White members of the LGBT community didn’t threaten or bully President Bush about ignoring their needs and who didn’t address them at all. He didn’t believe in Homosexuality because he thought that it was wrong. The White LGBT members didn’t bully or threaten President Clinton to change “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell!” that was more harm than good. Using Black logic, the only reason that the LGBT community didn’t act out against these former Presidents’ is because they were White. President Obama invited the HRC (Human Rights Campaign) to dinner in the White House where President Obama said; "Do not doubt the direction we are heading and the destination we will reach." Afterwards he told them that the first thing that he would be ending was “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and all of the other plans that he had laid out for the LGBT community. I was happy and elated when I read about this but, the further I read, the more pissed I became about it. HRC President, Joe Solmonese and Fred Sainz, HRC’s vice president was quick to get in front of the press to say that they were disappointed with the meeting because Obama didn’t give them a timeline. This was a smart move by President Obama, not getting pushed into a corner for an answer that was soon! Soon wasn’t good enough for them. I lost all respect for HRC who weren’t acting very humane towards a Black man who is willing to meet with them and make things right. They were un-grateful, selfish, self-centered, insensitive, arrogant, and rude towards the President. Why where they acting this way towards a person who was offering them help that they never got before from any the other Presidents? They tried to banger their way with him and it didn’t work. President Bush slashed all of HRC’s funding and banned them from the White House and from all White House functions. The Black community was quick to notice that Joe Solmonese and Fred Sainz didn’t address the President by his proper name which is Mr. President or President Obama. So what’s behind this nasty ass behavior and attitude towards President Obama? They’re racists! The HRC should be staffed with all members from all races not a White majority. Adding insult to injury, the next day the LGBT community staged an Equality March to protest President Obama ignoring their needs and concerns. This was right after President Obama went all out the night before to tell the so-called LGBT leaders and advocates his plans to make their community a better one. Equality means…equality for all! Not some! When pictures from this farce of a march appeared in print and on the air on the nightly news there wasn’t one Black, Brown, Red, Yellow, skinned face in the crowd. There were all white faces protesting against a Black President. These marchers wanted gay rights for their all White world excluding all other races. A great number of them didn’t vote for President Obama they voted for the Republican Party. Shame! If these people voted for Obama and were faithful supporters they would have been waiting it out patiently like everyone else including myself, a gay advocate and AIDS activist. To me this was a direct insult and slap in the face by racism from White LGBT peers. "He repeated his promises that he's made to us before, but he did not indicate when he would accomplish these goals and we've been waiting for a while now," said Jones, national co-chair of major gay-rights. This is an F.Y.I. to Jones and the thousands who protested against the President. President Obama is the only President to address and make promises to the LGBT community. Regan loathed the LGBT community and lashed out at your LGBT community every chance he got. Ronald Regan also said "them homo's deserved AIDS” in 1984. Why wasn’t a major march done then? President Clinton enacted the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” which was a farce that started a witch-hunt in the United States Services. The Advocates didn’t boycott, protest, or foam at the mouths. They said that; “Something is better than nothing.” I replied; “I rather have the nothing!” President Bush hated the LGBT community with a passion and banned the HRC from the White House and slashed all of their funding. Did they protest? Did they march in front of the White House? No! They did nothing! Had they marched, Bush probably would have shot at their butts. To the Black community this looked like an attack on their President by the LGBT who all happened to be Caucasian.This looked like an Anti-Obama protest! As far as the Black community is concerned Whites have their rights and were always able to do the things that Blacks weren’t allowed to do. Polling data has historically suggested that blacks are the least supportive of LGBT equality. The Blacks see gay rights as special rights for freaky rights. They’ve seen photos from gay parade with topless lesbians, bare ass leather men in harness, dog collars, and chaps, and outlandish drag queens on floats galore and in the crowds. To the Blacks, this looks like a Mari-Gras from hell complete with beads! The Anti-Obama White LGBT community is causing racial tension and is pissing off the Black community royally. Blacks are forgiving, but they don’t forget. This is why seventy-five percent of Blacks voted against Prop eight in California because the Whites of the LGBT protested against their President because he didn’t hurry up and meet their demands. This is also the reason why Amendment One won in the polls. The White majority of North Carolina saw this through along with the majority of Blacks who voted it in as well. A good number of the Whites brought racist beliefs and bigotry with them when they came out of the closet. Some Whites overcame their prejudice and stop seeing things in Black and White except for the love of their colorful gay and lesbian family. Black gay and lesbians aren’t made welcome at most gay events and are still refused entry into the fab bars of the moment. This is why they don’t go to the Gay Pride Parades. The outstretched hand of friendship and fellowship is slapped away with cold stares and dirty looks. My advice to my Black gay brothers and lesbian sisters is to go to gay social groups so you can do social things with your peers. Join gay organizations and volunteer your services to help an organization which is what I did over 30 years ago when I came out. The White LGBT has to get their act together and start recruiting and welcoming Blacks, Asians, Hispanics, and everyone else into their fold so they can be diverse. At the rate they’re going in the race for equality they’re going to be tripped when they get to the finish line.

inShare0 Dallas County Health officials are pleading and begging with the state NOT to cut funding for HIV medications. Why? Because there's an epidemic of HIV/AIDS in Texas that places the State at number 4. The Senate subcommittee on Medicaid is recommending elimination of funding for HIV drugs for low income patients, some 14 thousand statewide. Zach Thompson is director of Dallas County Health and Human Services. Thompson says his department serves more than 1800 HIV/AIDS patients, and 58 of them would lose their medication. Thompson; “They really need their medication and to totally make a statement that you're going to cut the funding, and you know that people will die because they're not getting medication, it's the hardest thing I've seen in all the years of dealing with the Legislative process.” The Texas AIDS Drug Assistance Program needs Texas legislators to provide $19.2 million in funding for over 2,000 individuals living with HIV and AIDS “If they lose their medications they will lose their ability to fight off infection,and ultimately lose their lives,”said AIDS Services of Austin Executive Director Paul Scott.Sen. Jane Nelson, R-Flower Mound, chairwoman of the Finance Subcommittee on Medicaid, said each item of the budget would be put into three categories in order to prioritize which programs would receive the additional money. Priority One would be the most important. The HIV drugs program fell into priority two. Sen. Judith Zaffirini, D-Laredo, in last week’s hearing said; "It is my belief that when we vote on a priority like this we are basically making a decision regarding who lives and who dies." There are more barriers between poor AIDS patients and drug treatment programs in Texas than there are in other states.One of the main problems in Texas is that the State limits patients to three prescriptions per month,which is not enough to keep them healthy. Another problem is that Texas limits the treatments to people with incomes of $16,000 or less. For instance, Texas requires that AIDS patients make a $5 co payment per prescription, while California, Florida and New York do not. Texas has a limited number of pharmacies willing to fill the orders and that the State required central processing of prescriptions, meaning that patients had significant delays in getting the drugs. None of the above help the poor AIDs in this epidemic. The Texas Department of State Health Services expects a 14 percent growth in the number of people needing drug assistance over the next two years. Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst has tasked another Senate subcommittee to find a $5 billion in new revenues to add to the budget by next week. He has said he expects "life-saving drugs will be included" in the final budget. PROFILE OF THE EPIDEMIC Texas reported 77,070 AIDS cases to CDC, cumulatively, from the beginning of the epidemic through December 2008. Texas ranked 4th highest among the 50 states in cumulative reported AIDS cases. More than 65000 people in Texas are known to have HIV: White, not Hispanic-(57.89% of the total case count.) 23,083 African-American-(24.50% of the total case count.) 9,767 Hispanic/Latino-(17.15% of the total case count.) 6,837 Asian/Pacific Islander-(0.30% of the total case count.) 120 American Indian/Alaskan Native-(0.14% of the total case count.)56 Pediatric-0.75% Adolescent and Young Adults-5.67% Adults-93.58%

The HIV/AIDS epidemic is now in the playgrounds of schools throughout the nation, and is becoming a horror to parents who find out that their child is one of the statisics in the epidemic. In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, condoms are being given to 11 year olds in lieu of Barbie's for girls, and Tonka Toys for boys. Philly has the highest number of sexually active teens, and one of the lowest number for those using a protection. Philadelphians are being infected at a rate more than 50 percent higher than residents of New York City, and five times the national average. An estimated 1,400 Philadelphians are newly infected each year, plus more than 16,000 are living with HIV or AIDS. There are those who do not realize that they have been infected, and are believed to be responsible for a large portion of new cases. HIV/AIDS isn't just a “gay disease” anymore with half of new infections in Philadelphia being through heterosexual contact, a third are the result of men having sex with men, and just 18 percent arise from drug addicts sharing dirty needles, the new federal analysis shows. Philadelphia has the second-highest percentage of Black/African Americans residents of the 10 most populated cities with 43.2 percent, according to the 2000 census. The high numbers of infections is spreading among Black /African American men and increasing at rapid rates among Black /African American and Hispanic Women. Seventeen percent of adolescents, 13 to 19 years of age, were Black/African American, yet an estimated 75 percent of HIV diagnoses in 13 to 19 year olds were in Black/African American adolescents. Nationwide HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, is highest in Black/African American communities. As the pie chart below shows, Blacks/African Americans accounted for the largest proportion of people living with an AIDS diagnosis in 2008. Continued on the next page Nationwide almost half of male adults and adolescents living with AIDS in 2008 became infected with HIV through male-to-male sexual contact. Two-thirds of female adults and adolescents living with an AIDS diagnosis in 2008 were infected through heterosexual contact. The Philadelphia Department of Public Health's speed up efforts to be more aggressively in targeting the minority communities. Philadelphia has launched a campaign to reverse these trends with “Take Control Philly” a website that offers mail-order condoms to children as young as eleven. The CDC Youth Risk Behavior Survey showed that 15 percent of children under 13 have had their first sexual encounter. To add on to this hell, the infectious syphilis(with no cure) spiked 45 percent in Philadelphia in 2009, with the infectious gonorrhea (with no cure) jumping 36 percent in 2010. The greater evil is the new analysis that shows that teenagers who have had either one of these STD's are at 2.5 to three times greater risk of contracting the far more deadly HIV the one that's resistance to all medications within the next few years. The Philly website provides information on sexually transmitted diseases and where to go for help, as well as straight talk and explicit illustrations on how to use a condom.The website states that if teenagers feel that he/she is ready for sex to use protection every time which means using a condom and using it right. To back this up The City of Philly has launched a “custom” condom called “The Freedom Condom”. So far there hasn't been a public outcry yet but the CDC and all local nonprofit organizations that works with teens on the prevention of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases are bracing themselves for it. Clarence Thomas, of all people showed his true to the core Uncle TOM-NESS with his quick decision to pull off this “Vote Fraud” farce that began the screw of the nation part I of 8 years. Did you notice that no White Supreme Court Judge was near this Dirty Political ploy that killed people. This was the beginning of the new Hitler who took away the majority of the Help Agencies and Assistance to those in need for their lively hood, health, and money. He took away the sole income of families, disabled, elderly,and retired. The time to get pissed was when Cheney allowed Energy company officials to dictate Energy policy and push us to invade Iraq. Along with Follow the Idiot! Valerie Plame said that Karl Rove was “clearly involved” in the leak, and she called President Bush out for protecting Rove despite Bush’s pledge that he would “immediately dismiss anyone who had anything to do with this.” She calmly and eloquently critiqued the “creeping, insidious politicizing” of American intelligence and warned that this trend would prove to be disastrous for the nation. Not one eyebrow was raised over this back stabbing, two-faced, cruelty from a United States President. The time to get pissed was when the Patriot Act got passed. The Act dramatically reduced restrictions on law enforcement agencies’ ability to search telephone, e-mail communications, medical, financial, and other records; eased restrictions on foreign intelligence gathering within the United States; expanded the Secertary Of Treasurey’s authority to regulate financial transactions, particularly those involving foreign individuals and entities; and broadened the discretion of law enforcement and immigration authorities in detaining and deporting immigrants suspected of terrorism-related acts. The act also expanded the definition of terrorism to include domestic terrorism, thus enlarging the number of activities to which the USA PATRIOT Act’s expanded law enforcement powers could be applied. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court delivered a mixed verdict relative to this case 03-6696 Hamdi v. Rumsfeld in that it was ruled that the U.S. government has the power to hold American citizens and foreign nationals without charges or trial, but that detainees can challenge their treatment in U.S. courts. The time to get pissed was when we illegally invaded a country that posed no threat to us. The Mass Weapons of Destruction were the Oil Drills that belonged to Halliburton Inc. A Fortune 500 company that Dick Cheney was and still is Chief Executive Officer. Under the new leadership of the new Adolph Hitler our great nation was bombed as a ploy to start a war in Iraq. A senseless war with people dying and the torturing of Human beings became a sport. The time to get pissed was Bush and Cheney spent over 800 billion and counting on said illegal war. If you read Section 3, paragraph B, Bush was required to prove to the Congress that Iraq was in violation of UN Resolutions by still being in possession of weapons of mass destruction, and secondly, that Iraq was behind 9-11. Both claims have since been disproved and discredited, and appear to be created by the Pentagon Office at the heart of the latest Israel Spy Scandal. Under United States law, the war in Iraq was illegal. And We the People are not under any legal or moral obligation to pay for it, let alone let our kids be killed in it. The time to get pissed was over 12 billion dollars in cash just disappeared in Iraq. This was the best magical trick ever with 12 billion disappearing into thin air then reappearing in Swiss Bank Accounts and Off Shore Banks. The former U.S. civilian overlord of Iraq, Ambassador L. Paul Bremer, performed this magic of making 363 TONS of newly printed, shrink-wrapped $100 bills disappear. That’s $12 billion in cold, hard American cash! Instead of using mirrors, crooked and incompetent contractors, greedy defense corporations and Iraqi crooks in a government were his props of choice. The time to get pissed was Bush embraced trade and outsourcing policies that shipped 6 million American jobs out of the country. Companies were given tax breaks for outsourcing jobs to India and other countries for slave wages. This is where the art of communication went to hell without a hand basket. The Folks in India were Rude and Arrogant with an attitude of heirs and had millions of American enraged. There were no jobs here in the USA and Unemployment was at an ALL Time HIGH! This was the worst 8 years of job creations in several decades. The time to get pissed was when Bush allowed his Corporate Boys Companies to downsize and eliminated positions for a tax break and to help raise profits on their stocks. People lost their pensions and were screwed out of there severance pay. Unemployment benefits were taxed and became an income. The same held true for Social Security and Disability benefits. To make matters worse extensions were no more and the length of time of Unemployment was cut shorter. People lost their sole income with Foreclosures happening left and right. Food Banks went broke from the number of people needing help and no donations in sight. Energy Assistance Programs weren’t able to assist people after Bush slashed this and other social services down to the bone. There was with no help what so ever with to assist millions of people in need. We the people suffered the consequences of doing without. The lack of oversight and regulations from the Bush Administration caused US Citizens to lose 12 trillion dollars in investments, retirement, and home values. Tax Breaks were lavished on the rich who got richer than rich. Nobody said not one word or any vocal feedback at all! The time to get pissed was after Katrina destroyed New Orleans the victims went without help for 3 DAYS…count them 1-2-3 days! Fox news was there and the rest of the Media got pissed off with Fox news for their coverage of this story that showed that our great nation was uncaring and racist. Bush stood still and silent as bodies floated down the river once he finally arrived in Louisiana. He didn’t flinch once and showed no emotion what so ever. This when the Black Community were convinced that the man was on CRACK! The Black Community got completely pissed and foaming at the mouth after Barbara Bush made the comment that; “People were better off living in the Astros Dome and they should be left there. White America said nothing after giving this all of the airtime it could possibility get. This was when the Black Community decided that the woman had dementia from smoking CRACK with her son. The time to get pissed was when over 200,000 US Citizens lost their lives because they had no health insurance. Bush created a federal budget that cut Medicare to fund billions for that illegal war of his. Bush made it illegal to sue your HMO and gave Insurance Companies free reign to hurt “We” the “People” than help and cure them. The expensive drugs that people needed to stay alive were denied and placing this burden onto to their Insured. The majority of “We” the “People” was and still is on a fixed income and had no money for this. Ridiculous High co-pays were charged once again screwing the person out of their medications needed to stay better and well. Donut Hole Periods was and still is when you lost your insurance coverage for long periods of time randomly. The Department of Welfare stopped giving out medical coupons and put people into a spend down period which meant no Medications for the Terminally Ill who needed their medications to stay alive and well… Medicare was cut to the bone with people losing their Healthcare from their Government. My health took plunge when I lost my Healthcare after falling into the Donut Hole. I went from having an undetectable viral load (which meant that there’s not a trace of the virus in your body) and High CD4 Cell Counts. To a viral load in the millions with a CD4 Cell count of 50. I also started suffering from the Opportunist Infections-Nausea, Fatigue, and Diarrhea. I also have chronic Depression and hyper-active which had me a nervous wreck without my Anti-Depressions. The count almost went to 200,001 US Citizens who died who had no Health Insurance. With that one being me! Bush borrowed more money from foreign sources than the previous 42 Presidents combined. Add this to illegal wars, (we didn’t catch Bin Laden), lies, corruption, the horrible conditions at Walter Reed, illegally wiretapping, torture, job losses by the millions, and stealing your tax dollars. All to make the rich richer and creating the worst economic disaster since 1929. All of these low down ploys were okay with you, the reality of not helping fellow Americans in need. The People, who were sick, got sicker, sickest then died is perfectly fine with you. You the Un-American finally got pissed beyond believe when a Black man was elected President and decided that people in America deserved the right to see a doctor if they are sick. In present day people should have got pissed when The Republican Party voted to stop emergency extensions for Unemployment. This meant that 2 ½ million people would have been without any financial assistance. They denied their State Stimulus Money for Mortgage Assistance. People got pissed when President Obama overturned their decision. And what does the a big part of Americans do vote the Poison Tea Party and the Racist Republican and their followers into Office and giving control to them. People didn’t get pissed while being pissed on. And they’re still enjoying the golden showers from the Corrupt Racist Republicans and the Corporations that rule them.

The Saga Continues… The Plot Thickens! By Nevin Jefferson The Minister stopped at his favorite bar to offer comfort and solace to those who were lost without hope, lonely, and needed someone to talk to. He was there solely for inspiration and an open invitation for prayer to place the person’s needs and concerns into God’s hands. He wasn’t expecting a miracle to take place in his life especially at a bar where he was trying to help heal others. He went into a trance on seeing a handsome man with an aura that took form in a strong presence that commanded attention and got it. The man wore a silk shirt and slacks with a lizard belt that matched his boots. The man’s fashion sense added glamour that made him the finest man that he’d ever seen. He wanted this man and he was going to make him his no manner what it took. He had one glitch that would ruin it all, but he decided to be a man about it and face his fear with faith. This made him more determined to walk over to the man with the intentions on getting his nine digits, so he could dialthem. They connected spiritually with friendship happening instantly between them laying the foundation. He knew that they were meant to be and refused to believe otherwise. He wanted the two of them to know each other as individuals first with the rest happening on its own. The only thing that could come between them was the fact that he was HIV+ with the fear of things ending before the beginning. He had been there before and it hurt beyond belief with his not wanting this to happen after finally finding his true love. The time to tell wasn’t now, it was the time to make things happen. He’d tell him later, something he would regret along with the fear of losing it all. “I’m in love!” “How much have you had to drink?” “No, it’s true!” For the past 24 years my best friend had been breaking off relationships before they had a chance to start. The minute he sensed things taking a turn towards a higher level, he’d take off running for the hills. After being fooled by married men, men with lovers, and psychopaths from hell, he didn’t want to be bothered. He had closed the doors only to have them kicked down with the person entering into his life and refusing to leave. He was happy in his newfound peace and joy with the world being his oyster and the new man in his life being the pearl. I was happy for him and wished him all of the best because he deserved it. The new man in his life was there with him and he wanted me to talk to him. Of course, I was warned to be nice to the man and fight my brain to mouth disorder with all of my heart, mind, and soul. “The man is a minister, so I really want you to hold your thoughts long enough to think about it before you say it.” “A minister, oh goodie! He can place his hands over my pants and raise the dead!” “See, there you go! I know that you just came home from church, so for once let it have some effect on you.” I kept the conversation simple while finding the man nice, but at the same time closely guarded about himself. There was something about him that worried me and my friend confided in me later that there was something about the man that he couldn’t put his finger on. I took this as the time to step aside and let the two spend some private time together. Our weekly phone calls took a stretch until recently when I got a very disturbing message on my machine. I knew right away that something was wrong and from the tone in my friend’s voice I knew that there was an urgency to call him immediately. “He just told me that he’s HIV+! Am I going to be safe with this man?” “I know that you’re practicing safe sex, right?” “Yes, but I’m still scared of getting it!” I had to read the back of a lube bottle along with the back of a condom that stated the fact that it was for prevention purposes. This was one of my first of many efforts on getting him to calm down and cool out. Two hours later, I had him calm enough to get him assured that safe and safer sex did work. I suggested to him to get tested every 3 months to give him some sort of peace of mind to take the edge off of the fear factor. I then got him to talk truthfully and honestly with me about the situation. “Okay, had he told you up front that he was HIV+ would you have gone out with him?” “No!” “That’s cool! Now that you know, it’s time to make a decision. Are you going to break it off or continue?” “I love him, he’s a nice man! As long as you care about a person it shouldn’t manner if he’s HIV+ or not. I’m glad that he didn’t tell me because I would have broken it off. Now that I know him as a person, I’m not afraid of being with a person who’s HIV+. I was seeing the disease and not the person.” “Very impressive!” This was also very moving and extremely touching because it’s the exact message that I’ve been trying to express to people. “Up until now, I used to get angry with you because you always made it a point to tell people that you were HIV+. When you started mentioning it in your writing, I wanted to choke the naps out off your hair!” “Why?!” “When you found out that you were HIV+, you asked me if you could spend the weekend with me because you needed to get away to unwind and that you had something to tell me. After you told me, I strongly advised you to keep this information to yourself. I knew that people would use it against you to pull you down and think that they were better than you. You had it going on! The parties, events, affairs, and the things that you got into made you popular. Most popular ever! I knew that all of that would have been destroyed if people found out. You decided to become strong from it and help others while destroying yourself. I advised you that if you met someone that you really liked not to tell him. Just keep the sex safe and you’d be fine. The Saga Continues.... IFFY LUBE! By Nevin Jefferson The Center for Disease Control is trying bend us over and slap on a glob of Iffy Lube before giving us the mind f**k of a contradiction. On Tuesday, November 8th , the CDC had their very own Dr. Douglas announce the following: "Syphilis has increased 8 percent during 2003-2004. This increase has occurred among all racial groups. The rate among African-American men rose 22.6 percent. But between blacks the rates increased for the first time in a decade, largely attributable to [men who sleep with men (MSM)]." Douglas cited "part of the problem [is] coming from sexual meetings arranged through the Internet, which made it difficult to track the course of new syphilis infections." Dr. Douglas, not one to hog all of the media attention, shared the spotlight. "Sexually transmitted diseases pose a significant and ongoing threat, when it comes to reducing syphilis in MSM there is no simple solution. Innovative screening and prevention programs around the country are having a positive impact in many areas and providing crucial lessons that will help us meet new challenges," said Dr. Ronald O. Valdiserri, the acting director of the CDC. Syphilis rates increased in many U.S. cities with large Gay populations, including San Francisco, which had the highest rate of any city for the third straight year, as well as Chicago, Denver, Miami, New York City and Seattle, among others. The national rate of primary and secondary syphilis (the early stages of the disease) rose for the fourth consecutive year in 2004, since hitting an historic low in 2000. The good news was that the national rate of gonorrhea reached an all-time low in 2004. The bad news is, research in 28 cities found an increase in gonorrhea cases that were resistant to fluoroquinolone antibiotics, the first-line treatment for the infection and the increase was eight times higher for MSM than for heterosexuals. "The real problem is HIV. Gonorrhea and syphilis are serious in their own right, but AIDS kills. And other STDs make a person even more likely to catch or transmit HIV," said Dr. Hunter Handsfield, director of Public Health-Seattle & King County's STD Control Program. On November the 18th, the CDC released the following to the media then RAN!& The rate of newly reported HIV cases among Blacks has been dropping by 5 percent a year since 2001, the government said Thursday. BUT, Blacks are still 8 times more likely than Whites to be diagnosed with the AIDS virus. "The racial disparities remain severe," said Lisa Lee, an epidemiologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The falling rate among Blacks seems to be tied to overlapping drops in diagnoses among injection drug users and heterosexuals, CDC researchers said. Any, Many, Mighty, Mo, all of this B*LLS**T HAS GOT TO GO! You know when people are lying through their teeth which they make excuses for the smack that they're saying. The study was based on 2001-04 data from 33 states that have named-based reporting systems for HIV. Health officials don't know which diagnoses represent new infections and which ones were infections people had for years, but had just discovered. The CDC found that overall diagnoses in the 33 states decreased slightly, from 41,207 cases in 2001 to 38,685 in 2004. The rate fell from 22.8 case per 100,0000 people in 2001 to 20.7 per 100,000 in 2001. The decline was more pronounced among Blacks-the rate dropped from 88.7 per 100,000 in 2001 to 76.3 in 2004. Among Whites, the rate rose slightly from 8.7 to 9.0. "At least part of the decline among Blacks appears to be tied to a 9 percent annual decline in diagnoses among injection drug users, who can get the virus from contaminated needles. More than half of the drug users were Black," Lee was quoted telling the press. I find this odd because must of the people I see at the Needle Exchange Program are White. The decline is also linked to a 4 percent decline in diagnoses among heterosexuals. About 69 percent of the heterosexuals diagnosed with HIV were Black. Diagnoses among men who have sex with men remained roughly stable from 2001 to 2003, but climbed 8 percent between 2003 and 2004. That was true for men of all races, CDC officials quoted to anyone listening. But, they could not explain the recent increase. The CDC has a list of reasons of why Black men and women have relatively high rates of HIV infection and AIDS. With the top two being poverty and sexually transmitted diseases. The CDC lists that the problem is fueled by denial in the Black community about drug injection use with dirty needles and homosexuality on the low down in the hood. How Very! I live in poverty and I can't afford to have sex! Why is the CDC dealing with this on shaky ground? Well, probably because the folks at the CDC are nervous about the reaction from Blacks throwing a fit and complaining to the N.A.A.C.P. and the A.C.L.U. Yes, once again Blacks are being used as the scapegoats in an epidemic. They wouldn't dare print this about White folks. True, the rise in HIV and STD is a constant happening in the dear old Black Community. Yes, Black men are out on the Down Low and are lying about having sex with men. The Government is trying to come up with a new category for this group. PLEEEASE! Without a shadow of a doubt, there is a higher percentage of HIV and AIDS in the Black female population in the United States. The CDC last year (2004) looked at data from 1999 to 2002 and reported that, using data from 29 states that track HIV infections. The data is somewhat scewed, because several states have serious problems figuring this out including California, New York, and Illinois who did not at that time tabulate a total on HIV infections. Of course, the study found that Black women accounted for nearly 72 percent of the female cases, while Whites made up 18 percent and Hispanics 8.5 percent. True, 13 percent of Americans are Black, you don't need a math scientist to see the scale of the problem. Good news is that the number of new HIV cases reported in women, regardless of race, did not increase during the four years that the study analyzed. Black women in 2002 accounted for 67 percent of the country's AIDS cases among women. The vast majority of Black Women with AIDS live in the South (Shut your mouth, Honey Child!) and the Northeast. Approximately, 35 percent of newly reported HIV cases in the United States between 1999 and 2002 are from heterosexual sex, according to a CDC report published in the February 20th 2004 issue of morbidity and mortality weekly report, as told by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The report stated that 64 percent of newly reported HIV cases from heterosexual hoochie-coochie were among women. Seventy-four percent were among Blacks. Breaking it down, 55 percent of new HIV infections were among Blacks, 31 percent among whites and 11 percent among Hispanics. If you have any problems with the latter I just mentioned, inform Mckenna at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (2/20 issue). They'll probably tell you that they don't remember or the ever popular: "We didn't say that!" According to Reuter Health (2/19 issue), 90 percent of new HIV infections were from "typical teenagers" engaging in heterosexual sex. Of course, they coped a plea that they were unaware of the risk of HIV transmission through heterosexual sex. Yeah Right! They were under the mind-set that it was a Gay disease. Well, they have their parents and church to thank for this one. Since they're under the impression that it's God's will, what will they call it now? The same comment goes to Blacks who operate under the same mind-set. How are all of the heterosexual women getting infected with the infection rate for heterosexual men lower? The CDC keeps claiming that there's no epidemics, but haven't published the numbers to prove this fact. Frequent Traveler is a human comedy of errors that just keeps getting worser as the actions become hilarious. A man is at the Airport Security waiting to get checked through. A hot security guard is on duty with wand in hand. The traveler sets off the alarm of beeps and has a big grin on his face. The hot guard asks him to step to the side which he does all smiles and cooperation. The smiles become a frown when a ugly guard takes over for the hot one. But not for long, the traveler enjoys the frisking all over his body and up and down his legs. He looks at the object of his affection as he goes through the motions. He ends up getting stripped searched and has to bend over and assume the position for a cavity search all while smiling in the mirror where the hot guard is standing watching everything. After going through horrors of it all with a dog of a guard he's released. The hot guard apologizes for making the traveler miss his plane. The traveler stomps off in a huff. On hearing the alarm go off,the handsome guard looks over and sees that it's his friend all over again. If first you don't succeed.... Great Short that's very entertaining and humor at its funniest. Non-Love-Song Erik Gernand;2009 U.S .Of A. 8 minutes On the last day of summer before heading off to college, two 18-year-old best friends attempt to connect as adults, and for the first time in their lives share a "final" moment. In a digital world one kid still uses his Polaroid camera to take pictures of the beach and his best friend who he has it bad for. College is around the corner and the two won't see each other until Thanksgiving. In a world of voice messaging and CD's the smitten one tells his bud that he recorded a tape for him on his tape recorder. He wants him to listen to it while he's away at college then he ducks and dodges questions about it only to say that it's not a love song. Their moment is interrupted by two girls who're are friends with the two. His object of affection asks him to take a picture of him with the girls. The hurt look on his face says it all. He makes the moment by pulling the tape labeled Not A Love Song in his back pack. The End. In my Arts class we were asked to come up with a summary on what happened to the characters? My guess? After listening to the non love song he returns home and lays his friend on his back and stuffs him like a turkey on Thanksgiving Day. Bartell No MPAA rating, 95 minutes Devastated by a love affair gone to hell , Jerome (Eric Debets) journeys from Paris to Los Angeles over Christmas, longing for a change of scenery and dreaming of a career in the movies. The opening scenes in Paris are in Black and White. When Jerome hits Hollywood, the film changes to bright candy colors like the Wizard of Oz. Jerome checks into a seedy Hollywood hostel when he gets to L.A. Once in Hollywood, Jerome tries his best to enjoy the city, making endearing first-timer mistakes. He pisses of the cab driver and bartender by not tipping them. Later when he goes back to the bar the bartender rips him a new one for not tipping him. Jerome slides a quarter from his change to the bartender who get's totally pissed behind this. The bus ride to the beach takes all day and he finds that the beach is cold. While suffering at the beach Jerome hits it off with a gay pot dealer (Chad Allen), who drives him halfway home. A taco-stand tranny named Kaleesha (Diarra Kilpatrick) escorts him the rest of the way, introducing him to Norma Desire (Michael Airington), a "shabby chic" Silverlake drag queen who takes Jerome under her wing. One of the movie's jokes is that Jerome travels everywhere in car-crazed Los Angeles by bus. Somehow he survives. The drug dealer introduces Jerome to a commercial agent, who sends him out on a couple of interviews. The scenes showing the audition process are the comic highlights of the movie. One audition is for a dancer in a video where Jerome fumbles on hitting the mark and saying his name then giving a profile. When its time for him to dance he just stands there looking lost. The Pizza commercial audition has him walking down the street with his girlfriend then sitting down and eating pizza. He gets the job after imagining that the woman is Giles and gets into the role. Bushman's shrewd firsthand knowledge of the less glamorous side of the Hollywood merry-go-round gives a nice ride. Jerome also has a few romantic flirtations, including a sexually explicit encounter with a waiter he meets at a bath house. After finding it all in Hollywood Jerome leaves for Paris because he's still in love with Giles and returns to his apartment. He wasn't your ordinary fruit,he was a gay proud man who wasn't afraid to be himself and does just that. Even after being beaten numerous times. He became a voice of authority and the rhyme of reason for the gay world. This true to life story became alive on the screen with an extraordinary performance by John Hurt as the witty, prolific,influential gay pioneer who becomes an pop culture icon right before your eyes on screen. John Hurt's performance is riveting,breath taking,and true to art form. The Englishman in New York opens with insightful barbs and the perspective of being who he is in true narration style. Crisp's writing and performances provide much of the dialogue as he fulfills his destiny in becoming a raconteur. William Hurt plays it with poise and charm from the age of 70 to 90's. The movie opens as Quentin is flying high on international fame with "The Naked Civil Servant and lands low in New York. In one of the opening scenes, Quentin is walking through the streets of the city in his full splendor. He's complimented by a big and beautiful middle aged Black woman who hails praises of love,respect,and admiration. He is genuinely touched by this and it shows as he takes off with more sashay into his hips giving new meaning to swishing in the streets. As New York unfolds on the screen Quentin unfolds with it in the streets. Quentin absorbs New York and New York absorbs him. It's match made in heaven when Quentin is granted a resident alien status based on his unique qualities. The Englishman and The City become true loves of diversity and acceptance with a sense of ownership. After performing his One-Man show "How to be a Happy Person" he's approached by Connie Clausen superbly played by Swoosie Kurtz. She tells him that she wants to make him a star launches his career in an off-Broadway one-man show. The two begin a strong,mutual,friendship that flourishes with success as Connie gets him on every T.V. Talk shows and radio shows. Connie books him on a Black Radio Station where the very flaming Quentin is surrounded by Hard Core Ghetto Brothers and tough as nails militant D.J. They accept him for who and what he is and make him a Honorary Brother. The listeners from the hood calling in for advice love both the man and his advice. Several scenes later Quentin goes to a Leather Bar and is Eighty-Sixed because he isn't dressed to their code. Our cult darling becomes the epitome of an effeminate gay man with effeminate ways complete with makeup and trademarks that consisted of ascots galore,his signature ring,and hat. His frankness, arrogance,and honesty wows some and pisses off others. When he claims same-sex love is impossible, he's attacked by gays for "playing to straights." Quentin becomes a movie reviewer for a Christopher Street magazine run by Philip Steele excellently played by Denis O'Hare. The two strike an agreement that touches on the richness of U.S. Film culture of the time compared with today's times in which Steele allows Quentin the freedom and liberty of criticizing the movies he wants to. Steele writes the reviews that are the thoughts and opinions of Quentin during a conversation between the two at a greasy spoon. Philip already a fan becomes his best friend whose platonic relationship slowly builds between the two. Quentin's spontaneous words of wit and wisdom earn him an high place in the gay community but then one of his comments gets him in trouble. His statement during one show that "AIDS is a fad, nothing more" and his refusal to recant or campaign for gay rights . "It is my policy never to lie, never to defend." Of course, this causes all hell to break loose with his career. One in which he buildup a celebrity career from being an outsider. His gay audience start to really suffer from the epidemic turns away from him. Crisp is dropped by his agent and editor after countless pleading with him to retract. His eyes are opened when he gets to know young artist Patrick Angus in a fantastic performance by Jonathan Tucker, who is dying of AIDS. He keeps his promise to the Artist by having his work shown in a gallery. Afterwards, Quentin returned to Britain and starred as a Victorian Queen. Well into the Clinton era,Quentin wakes up and finds a lady in his apartment. She assures him that he's not dead and she's no Angel, his door was unlocked. The lady is performance artist Penny Arcade marvelously played by Cynthia Nixon. She takes Quentin back to the stage with moving material that takes him into 10th decade and once again he wins over the gay community. Steele returns to the tiny and shabby apartment to find Quentin living on the champagne an peanuts circuit. Steele devotedly looks after the now failing Quentin who's enjoying his final bow. He tells his friend that he has a million dollars and asks why he doesn't spend any of it? Quentin tells him that he contributes to AM Far so he can meet Elizabeth Taylor. The Grand Finale is a virtual Sermon on the Mount in a gay bar in Tampa, Fla. The two confess their gratitude for one another. I'm beginning to believe that Researchers for the Center for Disease Control Public Health experts in San Francisco are desperate and starving for funding and attention. They're making stuff up as they go along to feed their greedy needs and to stroke their egos with Federal Funds. While at the same time becoming media whores of the moment. While at the same time, bamboozling people who don't know any better and believe everything that they read and what's told to them. Instead of thinking for themselves. Especially when it comes to be totally irresponsible for their behavior. The CDC of San Francisco conducted a study and enacted a new sexual practice for POZ men. So what's this dim idea that's dull beyond comparison? It's SERO-SORTING! And what is sero-sorting you ask? Sero-sorting is when two POZ guys seek out other POZ guys who have the same strain of virus they have or in their range for the purpose of having unsafe sex. What? Isn't the CDC supposed to be all about PREVENTION? Thanks to the latest in trash-no logy POZ men can network on websites where one can post their sero-status for the sole purpose of hookups,screw buddies,and a possible LTR. So am I wrong in thinking that hooking up with someone for safe sex and being responsible for your actions by using a condom to protect yourself and your partner the right thing to do? Especially when you're POZ? The 21st Century Common logic is be to monogamous and not promiscuous which is why the HIV/AIDS statistics for Black and Gay men are highest ever reported. To add insult to stupidity the CDC created a new category MSM (Men Screwing Men)for men who have sex with other men but aren't gay or bi-sexual. These guys practice Bare backing a.k.a Skin-2-Skin or in laymen terms no condom! Bare backing is for horses! Let's get real here gang, you're either gay or bi-sexual! If you like to have your tonsils tickled with a male body part then take it up the butt with the same male body part member you're a gay bottom. If a gay bottom likes to flip to the top he's a versatile bottom. If you like to give it up the butt you're a top. If the top wants it up the butt he's a versatile top. Real men take it up the butt! If a man likes women and men he's a bi-sexual. Not ifs,ands, or butts about it. These are the same guys who are out on the low down and are taking the virus home with them and infecting their wives or girlfriends then deny that is was them when their loved one or piece tests positive for the HIV virus. Some of the members of the Black community are claiming that the White man is starting a genocide. Listen closely my Brothers, Black men like yourselves are the cause of this genocide not the white man. This man made genocide is why Black women account for the largest share of new HIV infections among women (61% in 2006) and the incidence rate among Black women is nearly 15 times the rate among white women. Black women account for the majority of new AIDS cases among women (66% in 2007); white and Latina women account for 17% and 15% of new AIDS cases, respectively 1,13. Black women represent more than a third (36%) of AIDS cases. Let's not forget those who are infected with the HIV virus and don't know it. Not to mention POZ guys who keep quiet about it especially the ones on the low down dirty dog trail. Folks can find themselves buried in the spring instead of being married in the spring if there's unsafe sex involved. If one want to be promiscuous that person should use a condom for all safe purposes for prevention! Sero-Sorting is green lighting risky and dangerous behavior with disastrous results. The couple interviewed in the study were both sicker than dogs with one dying shortly afterwards with the other now sicker and near death. "Sero-sorting is happening, it's working. It's one of the explanations we have for the flattening of the (HIV) sero-incidence curve. As an HIV prevention strategy, sero-sorting is quite effective for positive and negative couples. It enables men to have the sex they want without worrying about contracting HIV," said Dr. Mitch Katz, San Francisco's Public Health Director. And get this, Dr. Katz also quoted: "Another probable cause for the leveling off of infections is that more HIV-positive people have access to medications, which when adhered to make them less infectious to sexual partners by reducing their viral loads. For positive men, they don't have to worry about HIV transmission to somebody who is negative. You do still have to worry about sexually transmitted diseases. But for many HIV-positive men, sero-sorting brings with it a tremendous psychological relief." Sure, buddy! Let's throw in psychotic tendencies along with self-serving and self-seeking being at the top of the list. It sounds idiotic enough: If you're negative and you screw only other negative guys, you won't get HIV with or without a condom. Yeah Right! How many guys discuss their HIV status? If it isn't bought up during the heat of the moment, they ain't telling and they ain't putting on a condom. The CDC and Health experts in San Francisco are calling this a significant trend, which is really a stupidity of all stupidities. These so-called experts are claiming that HIV positive couple's peers are helping reduce HIV infections when they choose to limit sexual tricks to partners of the same HIV status. In scientific terms, it's being called sero-sorting. In reality terms its called HOMO-CIDES! Death caused by screwing without condoms with their HIV/AIDS status being the lethal weapon. Not to mention being totally irresponsible by practicing risky behavior with no regard to their partner's health or well being. If you can't take responsibility for yourself, take responsibility for your sexual partners.
