The Aimless Search

Wanting life to be better
Wanting life to have meaning
Needing something to make me feel alive
Wanting to escape from the darkness
I search for the valley’s escape

Wanting to have a chance to breathe
Wanting to no longer feel this pain
Needing something to make life worth living
Wanting to be rescued from the valley of darkness
I wonder if anyone wants me to live

Wanting the world to give a damn
Wanting someone to show me what it is to live
Needing an escape from the moot existence that is my habitat
Wanting to be among the living once again
I wander aimlessly through the darkness seeking an escape

Wanting to live a life free of mental anguish
Wanting to live a life of peace and tranquility
Needing to finally see something beautiful in the world again
Wanting the toil and suffering to finally lead to salvation
I destroy everything in my path with my gloom

Wanting the people in the world to no longer be plastic
Wanting to live in a world where people give a shit about human life
Needing to see an ounce of human kindness left in the world
Wanting the life I live to be truly a life worth living
I walk the cumbersome path of isolated solitude

Wanting the peaceful and serene music of my mind to play again
Wanting to be able to love and be loved at last
Needing someone to walk beside me and hold my hand in the path of life
Wanting to escape from the great dark ominous clouds in my mind
I seek an escape from all the burdens of a cumbersome life
