Lunar Love Letters - Prologue. Prologue

Remember how people used to write letters to each other? And had to wait days or weeks to get a reply? It is hard to imagine in this modern day and age where almost all communication is instantaneous.

At the time of this writing, we are living in the year 2222, a very lucky number, at least to Chinese astrology. Mankind has begun spreading across the solar system. There are a couple of colonies established on the moon, and a thriving Mars colony has just celebrated its 75th anniversary. And while these are immense technological achievements, having mankind spread out this much, means that communication between the different celestial bodies feels very much like something out of the 1900s. You had to wait for ages to get a reply to anything!

For young Mike, who just celebrated his sweet sixteenth birthday, 2222 was not turning out to be a very lucky year. He had to leave all of his earth friends, and getting to know new people on the moon was proving very challenging.

In one desperate attempt to get at least something resembling a social life back, he tries finding someone to correspond with. Surely, there's someone out there who is just as much in need of a bit of human contact? Even if it's just by way of messages?
