Behind broken windows

Lie us queer children on display

You may this you see through to us

But can you truly see behind these cracks

Because in the cracks lie our darkest secrets

You can try and repair us

But you will never be able to hide our scars

You just won’t be able to change who we really are

We will not ever give into your requests

For our scars tell us where we have been

You can kick your rocks, but our windows strong

You can scream your words, but we won’t hear a sound

You will never understand us or our pain

Because you’re the reason we stand together

Here behind broken windows
