"Paul… I don't know how to say this, so I'm going to just come out and say it." Liam took a deep breath, and looked directly into Paul's eyes. His gaze was unwavering.
"I love you. And I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I don't know what we have exactly, and I don't care what people think. I just can't imagine any scenario of my life without you in it, and just the thought of you with someone else drives me insanely crazy… But… I'm willing to let go if you don't feel the same. So here's me… just a man… asking if you feel the same."
Paul remained stoic. Liam pushed on. "So if you have any feelings for me, please, tell me. If not, then let me know… I'd rather you put me out of my misery."
