Elven king - Prologue. Prologue

[BEGINNING OF TIME]

Thousand's of years ago, there was a Realm that was built up of Four Great Kingdoms.

There was the fairy kingdom, Areidon, who was ruled by the king of all fairies, Agaric.

The Dragon kingdom, Ubriyogon, who was ruled by a fierce King called Erfolg Drangontale.

The Elven Kingdom, Thelinora, was ruled by the King of Elves, Thorben.

And the last of the Four Great Kingdom's was the Dwarven Kingdom called Audalis. This Kingdom was ruled by Khordaldrum, a King of Dwarves.

Through time, these Four Great Kingdoms lived in harmonious peace with each other. Sharing an oath together to keep the peace in which the Four Kingdoms vowed to never intervene in another's conflicts if it didn't originally involve them.

But as the wheels of fate began to slowly turn, so did the fate of the Great Elven kingdom, Thelinora.

For there was a dark force coming and it had already begun to grow within the Dwarven Kingdom, Audalis. Because of this shift, Humanity's fate was also doomed to suffer at their hands.

Yet deep within the human city of Crathintis, there was one person who was about to seek power that would change this fate forever.

The City called Crathintis lay between The Four Great Kingdoms. It was a large city belonging to humanity and it was always overlooked by the Four Great Lords as they only ever saw humans as weak or lowly creatures.

The Dwarven and Dragon race even took to raiding the lowly human cities and taking away batches of humans as the spoils of war to become slaves within their own kingdoms. This horrid act went on for centuries and without any intervention from the fairies or elves, It had become a dark period in which humans feared to even walk out during the daytime.

But a blessing came when a wandering Fairy King became fascinated with a human princess. Using his fascination for her, this princess had made a plea for his help to fight against the mistreatment of her race. And because his feelings for her were so great, he ended up promising this princess that he'll protect her and her people with all that he could.

Later, it was known that this Fairy King brought his concerns to his longtime friend and The King of Elves, Thorben, for only a king himself held the power to actually lend the humans a hand, let alone two.

Thus, for the first time in history, the oath of the four kingdoms was truly broken.

As the day's passed by, the conflict brewing between the Elves, the Faeries and the Dwarves concerning the treatment of the human race, grew violent. The Dwarves who were seeking to enslave all of humanity and take over the city of Crathintis for their own personal gains were angered when their plan started to slowly fall into ruins.

Yet as the world started to lose its original balance, the humans who have always sought to be on equal grounds with The Four Great Kingdoms were now offering up their brave princess for marriage between the Fairies. It was no secret that they mostly aimed to secure an alliance between the two races and gain security.

Humans who have no magic would do anything for this alliance!

And this need for more would become the envy that will live in their hearts from the beginning of time. This same envy would lead them to commit an act that would curse them all.

The Elven Elders who saw all this, whether out of pity or to hold up their friendship with the Faeries, had decided to lend a hand in teaching the lesser beings the art of simple magic. It wasn't much but for the humans themselves, who held ambitions higher than the sky's, it was enough for them to make a stand.

Thus Humans began defending themselves with the magic they had acquired and mercilessly using it against the Dragon kind and Dwarves alike. With this, fate had changed, and whether for better or for worse, the balance of The Four Great Kingdoms had all shifted. The Dwarves could only become bitter as this happened around them, with the dark desires festering within their hearts only growing larger.

Then came the time when the 4 Great kingdoms split and declared war on each other. It was then that nothing was truly the same anymore.

At first, all the blame of this Great War could be said to be split between The Elves, The Fairies and The Humans. But then things changed and scales tipped over when Humans stole the Dragon eye from the Dragon race. The Dragon eye was a sacred treasure that held immense power and with their greed for more power, the humans tried to forcefully wield this power but only ended up unleashing chaos across all of the lands.

During this time, Dragon and Dwarven race wanted no more than to wipe out all of the humanity. But The Elven King stood firmly opposed to that notion acting as a barrier between the opposing kingdoms. To destroy a whole race just did not sit well with him.

But the Dragon eye was missing and the Dragonlords were angered to the point where even the blood of humanity may never calm their soul.

So with the help of The Fairies, The Elves decided to cast the humans from their realm in order to save them. In doing so, another world was created using all of their powers combined and it became a land where only humankind will rule.

While first living in poverty in their new world, humans came to slowly yet surely forget about the mythical world they had once hailed from. What little they knew of the mythical realm was lost in old history, having been passed down from generation to generation in the form of novels and poems that were classed as only fantasy and myth.

As thousand of years went by, humans too became forgotten by the magical realm.

These two realms came to exist side by side, with one not knowing of the other and no way to cross the worlds. So it was no surprise that both worlds became a myth in each other's hearts and yet, even to this day, a war was still brewing in the city of Thelindora.

But not even this was to remain so because only one who is of human blood, and purity, could access the hidden power that awaits in the Dragon's eye.

[THOUSANDS OF YEARS LATER]

"It is as we say, Your Grace." A group of Elven Elders spoke to their King in perfect sync.

"How can this be?" King Thorben demanded, walking around the room to look each Elder in the eye.

"We had all seen the same thing that had been prophesized, Your Grace." The Elders patiently told Thorben.

King Throban again stared into each of his subordinates eyes before smiling.

He has finally gained the alliance he needs.

With this alliance, peace could come back to Thelinora again.

But...this prophecy cannot leave this room! He suddenly thought to himself.

"Not a single word is to leave this room. For the prosperity of this kingdom, this must all stay a secret." He said his commands with an air fit only for someone to lead.

"This alliance must be met. I can no longer withhold this marriage on the base of some prophecy."

The elders turned to look at each other and found they had also come to the same understanding as their King. After all, a human has not been seen for centuries now. They didn't even exist within this realm anymore. Whether they truly existed, very few know.

And so the alliance was finally met that day and Prince Lhathron became king.
