The closer I got to the playroom where the girls were, the more nervous I became. Although I had given up on being a father, I now have two young girls to care for. It was still proving to be challenging for me to reconcile the Jane I knew four years ago with the woman whose parental rights had been terminated. I concluded that I didn't know the true Jane Mason. I must focus on these girls and make them my top priority. Fortunately, my commanding officer agreed to the emergency leave so that I c

Editors and sounding boards are a definite "must". Unfortunately, my editor disappeared, and I haven't found a new one yet. The saying "It takes a village" comes to mind because behind every author is a village of those who help out behind the scenes to get everything just right.

As I waited to get the DNA test results, I tried to keep myself busy by trying to have everything I needed for the girls. Still, it was hard since I didn’t have all the information or the confirmation that they were mine; however, after the conversation with Ms. Schmidt, there was hope inside that I had forgotten was there—the hope for a family of my own. When I acknowledged this hope, I realized that my relationship with Alex was at an end. This brought home just how different my plans var

I tried to rest on the flight to Maryland, but I could not get my brain to shut down long enough. My brain went through all the possible scenarios of what was waiting for me when I landed. It was all I could do not to hyperventilate as the wheels touched down. Thankfully I had already rented a car and only brought a carry-on suitcase so I would not have to wait for it in the baggage area. I was moving on autopilot and was soon plugging the address into the GPS in the car. Before I realized it, I

Ken Lawson is a Marine who has come to terms with being gay and serving his country. He has even formed a relationship with his former superior officer's husband's best friend since being stationed in California. Out of the blue Ken receives a letter from the Department of Family Services in Maryland. Ken worries about how this will affect his relationship with Alex who told him at the beginning of their relationship he did not want any kids in their relationship.

Please be prepared to be here for a few days. It is imperative that you come to this meeting. Sincerely, Martha D. Schmidt “Alex, what do you think this is about?” I asked. Chapter 11 - Revised Albus just knew that something was going on with that dratted Potter boy. How else could Molly and her two youngest be in the Goblin mines? He just couldn’t figure it out. If only he knew who he could get the information from. Suddenly, he sat up as he realized he knew someone who could help him, Remus Lupin. He was sure to know what was going on. Albus pulled some parchment towards him and grabbed his gold quill and his purple ink pot to begin his letter. Once

Chapter 8 As the Blacks and Cullens were getting ready, Albus Dumbledore was using every favor he had saved to try to find the missing wizarding world heroes. At every turn he was hitting wall after wall. It was as if they had fallen off the map. He could not find them anywhere in Great Britain or any other European country. Never once did he even contemplate that they may have gone across the pond, conveniently forgetting that the Black family had holdings in America. Of course, it did not

thanks for reading and commenting. It's the comments that can truly drive us authors when our muse seems to want to take a break.

Chapter 2 My team and I shifted into our wolf forms so we would be able to follow the scents better. We took off at a run into the woods. I was paired with Kelly while Sam and Lee were paired together. I let myself fall into my wolf and used his senses to find any trace of my missing mate. I may have only met him once, but his scent was burned into my memory. It took a while, but I finally caught a slight trail that I immediately started to follow. "I've caught Tony's scent. We're ab

"What is it, Alice?" Esme asked. She could tell that whatever her daughter had seen it did not bode well for their family. "Esme we need to get the Blacks here now! I hope we have time to get our new family protected. Whatever is coming can lead to a lot of hurt if we're not fully prepared." They heard a crack and knew it was one of their new family members that had just arrived. Luna and Neville ran into the house as if the hounds of hell were at their heels. Esme took one look at Lun

Wyndham, This story has not been abandoned, but life has gotten in the way as it tends to do from time to time. However, there is a new chapter in the works.

Chapter 1 I woke the next morning with a new determination. I would do whatever it took to make my mate happy and if that meant only being his friend then that is what I would do. Jeremy had let me in on what had happened and what had led up to Tony rejecting Steve. It made me see red that someone would disregard the mating bond of Tim and Jon when they knew they had a mate out there somewhere. There was a somber feel in the air when I walked into the dining room; it made the hair on the

Prologue I watched the happily mated couples and my heart broke. In the eight years since I turned sixteen, I had not met my mate. I’m ashamed to say I didn’t wait for my mate before I became sexually active. I just hoped he wouldn’t be too mad at me when I found him. I prayed every day my Alphas would send me on a mission like they did Alex three years ago. I wanted the opportunity to find my mate, but I knew that if I stayed on pack grounds I wouldn’t find him “Louis, Alpha Jackson wan

I think you're right about Dobby and Alice. The Cullens won't know what hits them when the 2 of them combine forces.

Draco and Jasper spent the next several days together getting to know each other, as did Harry and Edward. Draco however still felt like something was missing. Harry watched his brother and knew he was happy, but there was still a void that needed to be filled. Luna and Neville had decided to spend some time by themselves exploring their new surroundings while the others were distracted. They were newly married after all. They decided to go for a walk through the forest. Neville looked forwa
