Break the Chain I went for my annual walk in the snow to the spot where I would say a prayer for my parents. It had been hard on me since they died five years ago, but I never forgot them. I prayed for them and also said a prayer of thanks for Stephan coming into my life. The past year had seen us as a couple, and I couldn’t be happier about it. Wow, you really were able to bring out the emotions in this story. I don't personally know anyone who has died of AIDS. I just remember the stories that I've heard over the years and my heart goes out to those who have lost a loved one to it.

Thanks for the input. I will be refining it as it was only the second story that I wrote. Showing instead of telling is something that I am still working on improving

TJ’s POV I couldn’t believe that Stephan and I had been together for several months. He was there to nurse me back to health after being shot in the line of duty and he never pressured me to take our relationship to the next level.
