  5. Can't believe I'm finding such difficult quotes. OK a clue :- Yet another American remake of foreign language film (but this one was almost as good as the original). Unlike most remakes, this one used the same location and character names as the original.

  12. Don't sell yourself short Tomas - you are correct. The line was spoken by Rupert Pupkin (Robert De Niro) who played an aspiring comedian who stalked the Jerry Lewis character to get a spot on his talk show. Sarah Bernhardt won the only American award the movie received - an NSFC award for supporting actress. The movie was named "Film Of The Year" by the London Film Critics and the screenplay won a BAFTA (British Oscar) So your turn again

Here's a couple more clues: This movie was the opening film of the 1983 Cannes Film Festival Actress Sandra Bernhard was allowed to improvise most of her lines as she had no formal acting training and the director wanted her to be as natural as possible.
  14. Looks like a clue (or 2) is needed: This was the 5th of 7 movies the director and star collaborated. The co-star was originally the "clown" half of a double act.
