I'm sorry it made you feel that way at the end. I dont see Jamie's death as a good thing, however it was necessary for his character. Jamie was a very self destructive person, he tried his best to change and outrun his consequences however in life we have to sit with the choices we make, no matter how bad these consequences may be. The storys purpose is to show how the choices of one person can completely change the course of a whole town. Crestfallen will go on to show us how to do deal with so much sadness and pain, knowledge that if Jamie knew, it might've saved his life. Being a Psych major I'll leave you with a quote from one of my favorite psychologists Carl Jung "The word happiness would lose it's meaning if not balanced out by sadness." Unfortunately to be fully happy we first must learn what it means to be sad. This is merely step 1 in the journey, that I hope you'll keep joining me on. Thank you for reading!

I quickly got up determined to catch Jayden, but he moved like a snake through the crowded hallway. At one point I got so close I reached out to grab him, but was shoved back by an army of kids almost double my size. Finally I lost him in the rush and made my way to my locker. Why am I acting like such a spaz over a guy I only really met today? I mean I didn’t even realize he was in my class on Monday, and now I’m going completely out of my way to talk to him? I need to get my head on straight.

Aidan Taylor, Modern Day Spartan
Aceinthehole posted new chapter in Tales of the Underground: Crestfallen
I looked into my now mentors dull blue eyes and couldn’t help but catch his anger. I don’t know what he wanted from me. Why in the world would I want him as a mentor? I want to actually learn. Sure he’s good at hockey but just look at him. He’s got 0 personality or sympathy. He’s clearly in it for himself. I rolled my eyes and pushed him aside “I didn’t do anything Elijah. In fact I told my coach specifically that I didn’t want to be with you” “My name’s Eli” he corrected “What?” I said taken- 1 comment

As doubt crept it my head it was met with optimism of equal size. If it takes practicing every day to be great, then that’s exactly what I’ll do. I’m going to work harder than I ever have before. For the first time in my life I’m going to earn something for myself by myself. As I approached the lunch table I saw that my smile was contagious. I took what was now becoming my normal seat across from Ivy and Henry and took out the lunch Perry had packed me. “So someone’s happy today” Ivy teased “I

For me fighting is a drug of its own. It’s funny, I was a total pussy as a kid, but the second I found out what it meant to fight…the glory…the pride…the adrenaline, well after that they couldn’t stop me from swinging. I winced in pain as the needle wove in and out of the thick cut above my left eye. “Oh come on Taylor” Henry provoked “You’re really gonna be a baby about a few stitches.” “Shut up” I opposed with slight agitation in my eyes. I tried to wipe away some of the blood from the side

Guess you'll just have to wait this out and see how it unfolds!

haha I fully agree, but we'll see! Unfortunately I feel like I have 0 control of my writing, I just put on music and let it flow out of me!

I think you hit the nail on the head when you said Aiden's really never had any set backs in his life. Like he said he has a magical way of getting what he wants. On top of it all he's extremely niave and immature. Aidan showed good sportsmanship in his fight though, he went to tap gloves before the fight but was snubbed. For what it's worth Aidan is a good kid, he just gets wrapped up in the excitement of everything too easily. About any relationship that forms, I can't say. You'll have to be the just of it, IF it happens.

The second we pulled up to the gym my mindset changed. I forgot about all the drama at school and shifted into becoming the stone cold fighter I needed to be. I tapped Perry on the head and grabbed my gym bag out of the backseat. I nodded to my sister who was sitting in the passenger’s seat and shut the door behind me. I walked into the warehouse converted gym and waved at my trainer before heading into the locker room and getting changed. I switched from preppy rich clothes to humble fighting

I woke up the next morning to Perry lightly shaking me “Sir, it’s time to get up and dressed for school.” I let out a long groan “Do I have to?” “Yes, I’m afraid you do” he said unapologetically I sat up and rubbed my eyes “I swear this is your favorite part of the job.” “No sir, my favorite part is dropping you and your sister off at school” he teased leaving the room to give me some privacy. I jumped out of bed and got together the nicest set of clothes I could find. I settled on a light

Thanks! I have the same concerns about predictability and will definitely work to give you guys curveballs.

Thank! Hope you enjoy the ride!

I felt the white tape wrapped tight around my fists stretch tighter with every single punch thrown at the speed bag. The sound of the bag to the top then right back to my fist was like a symphony to me. This was my whole world, my universe, my sanctuary, I can go on and on, words can’t describe the rush. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a violent person or anything but man…fighting is my shit! It all started when I was a kid, I was picked on relentlessly for being gay. Everything from mental games to

Aidan “Static” Taylor is a 15 year old Mixed Martial Artist who grew up in the rich suburbs of New Jersey. His speed and respect have helped him climb his way to the top, but when he comes into contact with a fallen angel will he lose his humility or keep pushing through?

Thank you! In book 2 well have a chance to learn more about this new Eli, and see his growth from here. Hopefully he can find his way back to the light.

It'll be a sequel that will be told from the perspective of a new character and his group of friends. However it will be focused around Eli and his descent from grace. I imagine it will be equally dark as velocity at points, however the new main character is very light-hearted and ambitious, so I imagine that'll force a perspective we have rarely seen so far. I'm so glad you enjoyed the story! Thank you so much for reading!!

I feel the exact same way. Multiple times when writing the chapter I had to stop myself from changing different details. Jamie's death, and the darkening of Eli's character were defiantly a lot harder then I originally thought!Thank you so much for reading, and giving me feedback! It is extremely appreciated! I'm so glad you enjoyed the story!

As I stood there, staring at the small grey stone slab in front of me I was flooded with memories. It’s funny, I’ve come to this site every single day since he was buried and yet every single time I flash back to moments with him. An imperfect soul, forced to wander this earth, tortured almost every step of the way. I let out a deep sigh, at least he’s at peace now. I knelt down and brushed away some of the dirt from the surface. Jamie Aaron Free February 21st, 2000- January 30th 2016 “Loving

Its all good, the whole book is laced I profanity what are a few more? Even though I knew I would take it this direction, this was easily the hardest thing I've ever had to write.

They say love makes you do crazy things. Things like run off and get married or quit their job. Well right now love has me running right into the mouth of hell, a journey I don’t know if I’ll make it back from. I only know one thing, if it means saving Eli it’ll be completely worth it. The sweat on my hands began to coat the steering wheel, and my heart felt as if it would burst. I sped past the junkyard and down the side street next to it. I was so nervous that I almost rear-ended Jason’s car

The pain in my heart was astounding. With every passing beat the pain only seemed to grow more and more. Normally being thrown up against the wall would have me pretty shaken up, maybe even angry, but this time was different. This time I was getting exactly what I deserved. I did know what happened to Eli, and I was the reason he was missing. His dad has every right to kick down my front door and shake me up. Hell it’s exactly what I’ll do to Pit when I get the chance. I heard a few knocks on m

I know it's not exactly the most eloquent writing, but I'm so glad I could hook you! Hope you enjoy the rest of the story! By the way I love your pro pic, I would by lying if I said Naruto wasn't a big inspiration in making me want to write.
