  1. This is a story that truly touched my heart. I've got a best friend too, straight, and I love him totally. Not lust for him, but closer than a brother. The panic, the need to help, to save, was so well depicted, that I felt that urgency and panic deep within. We too will be there for each other, right up until the very end. Bravo!
  2. Very nicely done. I could feel the anger, the betrayal, the frustration, and the beginnings of forgiveness.
  3. I loved it. Hell, I could feel it stir my loins. But I'm sure that's too much information. I didn't 'get it' but it didn't hurt one bit. You made the right choice in leaving it there, and in not explaining it. I echo the sentiments of others: please get the longer story out there, and add to it with 'sequels'. BTW, I've been in Search and Rescue, and everyone, including volunteers, always have to sign a waiver before being allowed to help. Maybe it's different in England?
  4. I loved it, and yet it brought with it feelings of frustration. The difficulty in expressing oneself, or not understanding another is particularly close to me, although in my case it's not deafness. I too see and feel things differently, with some sense much heightened and others almost missing. Well done.
  5. That is a totally awesome and moving story. Sadly, the mother's difficulty in showing her son she loves him and face his rejection is so very parallel to our own difficulty in coming out. Our whole beings are vulnerable and subject to the most violent emotional upheaval, and we can only wait to see what happens; if we get up the courage to even try. Well done!
  6. Very nice. I'm a romantic too, but sadly lacking anyone with whom to be romantic. I've woken up in the Oregon mountains to 6 inches of snow and I know how beautiful it can be. The story brought back fond memories of hikes and camping.
  7. A nice little story that's a bit different than most. There are a few little word choices that had me wondering a bit, but maybe it's 'true English' so I'm not in tune with them.
