Whatever do you mean?

@chris191070 Thank you for the great review. I really appreciate it. To everyone else: PLEASE LEAVE THIS STORY A REVIEW, ESPECIALLY IF YOU'VE BEEN A LONGTIME FAN.
-
Thank you so much for support and time spent on my works. The reason it's taking so long is that I'm still working on Growing Up Ry and I want that finished before I take on another large project, especially the one I have planned. Again, this won't be my last story on GA, either, but I'm going to take a bit before starting those next projects, as well.

Thank you for reading and commenting. The wedding was very fun to write, and I'm glad you and everyone else loved it.

@drsawzall and others, the story has been marked complete if you'd like to leave a review. And Doc...

I'm glad you liked the wedding and story. And yes, June 2025 will be the release of the anthology. I can't release it sooner for a number of reasons, the biggest reason is that I'm still not finished with the third novel in the Growing Up Trilogy, which is the novel that actually precedes Thicker Than Water. I'm also working on a novella that will also be released in June 2025 on Nifty as well, but isn't connected to anything. I will let everyone know about it's release when the time comes. After the anthology, will be the full series, also on Nifty. Again, there will be topics that will be in the story that aren't allowed on Gay Authors, which is why it won't be posted here. Nifty's guidelines aren't as strict, though I'd rather post here, to be honest. With that said, I do plan to post more stories here in the future once I get my other stories taken care of.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and making us laugh. The comments section has been the leading cause for this book being released as quickly has it had. Nothing pleases me more than getting people to express and experience empathy, especially through my writings. The rollercoaster ride of emotions, I feel, helps ground the story and the reader in reality, even a fictional one. I will be marking the story complete soon. I haven't been up very long. Lol

Thank you, Chris. You have been a constant commentor and they have always been appreciated. I'm glad you have enjoyed this story, and I hope you check out those still to come. I'm glad you liked the ending. I felt everyone who had gotten to the end deserved to see it. I also didn't want to have a traditional, boring wedding. Laughter is the best medicine, after all.

You're very welcome, Johnny. Thank you for reading and commenting. This story means a lot to me, and I'm happy it has meant so much to others, as well. The anthology will be released in June 2025. I still need to finish the third novel in the Growing Up Trilogy, while everyone else on Nifty are still in the early parts of Thicker Than Water. If I were allowed to publish directly on Nifty like I can here, I'd be a lot further along on that site.

David's speech is one I almost performed for a friend of mine's wedding, but I wasn't sure how well it would've gone down with everyone else. She and her wife got divorced not too long after that, so I'm kinda glad I didn't waste that speech. Bryan still has issues, as you saw in his interaction with Quinton, but he still loves Kenny. I already started taking notes for the anthology, which will be released starting in June 2025. I'm trying to finish the third novel in the Growing Up Trilogy, which precedes Thicker Than Water and is the reason for the delay. I wish I could get @Arch Hunter to release his next chapter, and I also hope he's okay.

I needed to leave the story on a high note and make up for the dream sequence twist; plus, I didn't want just a dumb, standard wedding...and another fourth wall break seemed appropriate. You're very welcome for the story, and thank you for reading it. You comments have meant a lot.

“Te ves tan guapa, Bryan,” Abuela said, as she straightened Bryan's tie. “Gracias, Abuela,” the 15-year-old replied. He would've complained about the suit, since it was supposed to be nearly 90 degrees in the shade, but his grandmother was in too much of a good mood...and would likely smack him around for being negative. “Mírate, mamá,” Luis said as he entered the back room. “¡Te ves incredíble!” Immediately, Luis was slapped repeatedly on the arm by his mother, causing the man to

I'm still very glad that pretty much everyone fell for the ol' switch-a-roo. It was a much needed twist given all the speculation since the beginning. Yes, the judge followed the law and made sure Calvin couldn't pull his bullshit ever again, while being a little more fair towards Bryan. There's only one more chapter left, which will be released in about 8 hours, and you'll see how things end...for now.... I'm keeping the lotto numbers for myself, though.

67...the final chapter comes out tomorrow.

Everyone was just so damned optimistic, so I had to be like, "Well, let's ruin that for everyone," then throw in the twist of the dream. 'Merica. Tomorrow's chapter will be "interesting" as well....

I'm glad that the rues was so effective. I thought most people would've seen through it. The case needed to be in Diego's favor, but I also didn't want it to be too obvious. A story without stakes is not really a story worth telling, in my opinion. I'm glad you liked that little joke. Humor is always something I'm working on.

Who doesn't like a happy ending (and pun intended)? A wedding epilogue? Hmm...I guess you'll have to see what tomorrow brings....
-
Glad it didn't, but that was kind of the point. Lol Thank you for surviving at least long enough to make a comment. 😁

It makes me happy that I was able to trick those who didn't see it coming. I specially didn't mention the dream for a few sentences to keep people guessing, and I'm glad that worked. This has been a great story to write, and though I'm sad it's almost completely over, I'm happy that I can move on with their story. As for an epilogue...you'll have to see what tomorrow brings....

Glad you approve of the opening, Good Sir. I'm happy that people were thrown by it. Yes, Judge Crustypants definitely had an easy time with this case, especially after the kidnapping. Love should always win. Bryan and Caleb are where they were always meant to be. Again, no one should ever, ever feel sorry for Calvin (real or fiction), and they both deserve what's coming to them.
-
Love should always win, and I'm glad you fell for my prank. And, no one should ever feel bad for Calvin, ever, especially the real Calvin.
-
I'm glad you fell for my rues. I was on pins and needles for weeks waiting to see how people reacted to this. Calvin fucked himself off, especially with the kidnapping, so it made the judge's job that much more easy to perform.

Yes, I wanted that bit of self-righteous fury to help sell the verdict as real, since it definitely was a dream sequence. That's why I used the argument that I did in the ruling. It's very common place in conservative courts in the US (and elsewhere). It was one of the reasons why Clarke used a similar argument in his closing speech. I wanted everyone to be thrown off for this opening. Lol The protestors were mentioned at the end, with the Westboro-wannabes having been driven away.
