Shadows Of My Former Selves - 1. Chapter 1

I don’t know how my life has changed

It just did

And I’m none the wiser whether it is good for me

Or not

But as it is, I am not who I used to be

I think

The differences between the new and my previous self

Unknown

But there are times when I remember

The past

There’s this feeling of something I can’t put my finger on

What is it?

Like there’s more to me than my idea of myself

A shadow?

Perhaps it is indeed the shadows of my former selves

Coming out

Sometimes, I do things which are out of character

Gasp

Though people around me are shocked, I secretly smile

At times, laugh

I knew that I had it in me, I just do

Weird

My dormant personality stepping out and taking control

Me but not really

Perhaps my preconceptions have blinded me to who I really am

Perhaps not

I based who I should be on people’s expectations

Good versus evil

And I’m left not knowing my true self

The real me

Until my suppressed subconscious takes over

To haunt me

Shadows of my former selves

Taking form
