Liukas Soli's Heart - 1. Summer Rains
Summer Rains
Somewhere out there, a once happy, now lonely boy,
Heads home in defeat, now that the truth has won.
Admittance of love, and anything but joy, he feels forever undone.
The rain begins to fall, and he is still hoping yet,
That on his doorstep he'll see,
That one face with brown eyes, anything but wet.
The summer rain falls, his gift doesn't appear,
He waits and waits, but to no avail,
He does nothing but sheds his tear.
Later on that night, as he makes to sleep,
A ring comes through the phone.
For it is his single most prized possession,
His love, who says, “I'm alone.”
“I need you.” he said. “I need you a lot.”
“This is but truth, you're all that I've got.”
“Fear not!” said I, “for I will be here.”
“Waiting for you, for you to be near.”
And so the summer rains fall, with style, and holy grace.
For now, the prize is won,
The best one, in its place.
