Dragons of Drupes

There are currently no reviews.

Drake’s addiction to smoking, his band’s first gig, and his ever-growing list of chores, become insignificant when German authorities threaten to tear down his house.
To save it, Drake and his roommates travel across the globe and into Drupes—a parallel city of London—to follow clues. While using his wits to solve the mystery and find Red Beryl, he begins to explore his feelings toward his irritating but hot roommate Jack.

Hey peeps,
This is an older story I rewrote/touched up. It's a sort of a teenage scooby-doo style story with a romantic twist . . . :)
As I've finished the story, I hope to get it out to you in pretty quick succession . . .

Yeah, I'm with Bugeye. Irritating, the whole bloody lot of them! But, still, I liked them, especially Jack. Drake needed a slap! But at 17 that's hardly surprising. It's difficult enough then to get a sense of direction. I think you wrote the two main characters and the dragons very well. The concept of the dragons was actually very thought provoking. I felt a bit if Michel Foucault in there somewhere! Faye - until her background was explained I couldn't give two hoots about her, and Terry pretty much the same. IDK - somehow it just never cohered into a page turner for me, but there were things that really kept me wanting to go on. Jack, Drake, and little nibbly kisses! mmmmmm :P

Well, it's a free book, so I guess it doesn't hurt if it's not a page-turner! :)

Thanks for reading, I felt for the dragons as I wrote it, and all those discriminated against and abused and not treated as equals.

And, yay for nibbly kisses. :P

I enjoyed this story concept with its discordant personalities, transdimensional house, dragon subjugation and mystery to solve. It started out a little slow for me but it finally picked up and hooked me in. I liked the treasure hunt feel of the steps to solve the mystery. You kept me guessing. I'm glad we got some of the backgrounds stories for the characters. It brought more depth to them.
