The Fugitive From Down Under - 5. Say I Do

New love and new engagements are in the air in Pleasant View as everyone prepares for Brad's and Jack's commitment ceremony. Hank and Miz Vivian have an amazing surprise in mind for Brad and Jack on their happy occasion.

Jack's jaw literally dropped for a moment, and then he stared at his father for another long moment. Finally he spoke, "You're - gay, too?"

"Yes," Billy Jack replied. "Your mother filled me in about you," he then added in explanation.

"Look, it was no excuse for abandoning you and your mother, and I'm not saying it was," Jack's father continued. "But, that was years ago and back then it was even worse for gay people in this area than it is now. I just felt like in California I could be myself. Looking back, I should have had the balls to tell Alice that, and I should have supported you."

"Hell yes, you should have!" Jack replied angrily.

"But, you know, son, I'm 60 now," Billy Jack said evenly. "I hope I live a long while longer, but I wanted to know you before it was too late. I just hope you can somehow forgive me for the past and give me a chance."

Jack exhaled breath long and hard, and then spoke again. "Well, I'm sure Momma filled you in on the fact that I, too, went through a long 'straight phase' before figuring out who I really am?"

"Yes, she told me about you and Holly, as well as about your wonderful current partner Bradley," Billy Jack said with a genuine smile.

"Well, then obviously you know that I know where you're coming from, at least on that part of it," Jack said. "You were still a fuckin' asshole for running off and not helping support me. Nothing changes that. But, like you said, you're 60 and I'll soon be 36 and I see no reason to be a stubborn asshole about things if you really want to be in my life now."

Billy Jack smiled, and then choked up a little. "Would a hug be asking too much then, son?"

Father and son embraced awkwardly then. Jack spoke again, "So, now that we've had our Hallmark moment, how about telling me what the hell you've been up to since I was a year old?"

Billy Jack laughed, and the two of them were still talking two hours later when Alice returned home. During their long talk, Jack found out that Billy Jack had been partnered from 1988-2009 to a man he had met out in San Jose named Rick. Rick had passed away with cancer near the end of 2009.

"Anyway, like I said, a couple of years have gone by since I lost Rick. I just realized nothing was really keeping me in San Jose, and it was time to come back home and try to get to know my son, finally," Billy Jack concluded.

Just then the front door opened cautiously, and Alice walked on in, "I see you two haven't killed each other," she quipped.

"No, not hardly," Jack said with a smile. "We're not going to be Andy and Opie right away, but I have to admit it is nice to finally have an old man."

"Thank you," Billy Jack said simply, choking up a little again then.

Alice fixed supper for the three of them, and they talked much more. At the end of the evening, Jack headed home, but promised to keep in touch with his father. When he got home that night he related everything to Brad as they sat in the living room with their dog.

"Well, I'm glad you've decided to give him a chance, baby," Brad commented. "It sounds like he really does mean well."

"I hope so," Jack said. "It is odd having him in my life all of a sudden now when I never had a dad growing up, but somehow - I just really want to give him a chance."

"That just shows what a great guy you are, babe," Brad replied with a warm smile, slipping his arms around Jack's neck. They kissed tenderly.

The following week was a busy one for Jack. The Pleasant View Police Department busted two meth labs and had numerous eventful traffic stops, and an armed robbery of a local gas station all to deal with as well. Meanwhile, Brad had a much slower week, since this was the slow season for the store and B&B, now that the one big tour group had come and gone. On the night of the 17th, they made love long and slow in bed as soft candlelight glowed all around their room, to celebrate being together six months.

"I love you so, Bradley," Jack said softly as they lay sweating and panting in one another's arms afterward. Jack's still-hard cock was still nestled in Brad's ass as they held each other there.

"I love you too, Jack," Brad said. "I can't wait to marry you - and in my heart, that is exactly what is going to happen on March 3, whether the law says it is or not."

Jack smiled, still so hard, and he began to move inside Brad again, loving him passionately there in the missionary position on their bed. They kissed, their hot, sweaty, furry chests rubbing together.

"Uhn, so good!" Brad whimpered in delight when several minutes later the knob of Jack's fat cock was once again pressing his button and sending him over the edge.

"Oh, Bradley! - Uh! - I'm cumming!!!" Jack groaned as again a powerful orgasm swept over him. Their anniversary evening was thus complete, when once again they both had shot a huge load of cum from truly making love. They slept soundly then in one another's arms.

During that week, Bill O'Flannery had called to update Miz Vivian and Jack on the progress at Smith's Mountain. That January had turned unseasonably warm and dry in Burnside County. This meant that crews had already started digging and pouring the footer for the metal building that would house the small bottling plant for Uncle Joe's Mountain Spring Water, down at the base of the mountain. They would soon start construction of the pipeline down the mountain from the spring as well. O'Flannery projected that if the weather held, the plant would be completed and operational by April 1, a good deal earlier than they had originally planned.

On Friday night, January 20, Miz Vivian had Brad and Jack and Justin and Eric over for dinner. As they visited in the kitchen while Miz Vivian was putting the finishing touches on the meal, they were all very excited to find out that Brad and Jack had set a date. Miz Vivian soon insisted that Bill O'Flannery come downstairs and join them for dinner. He had so far eluded her attempts to feed him dinner, insisting on only taking the included breakfast as part of his extended stay in the B&B while he looked for an apartment.

As they ate, everyone complimenting Miz Vivian's wonderful food as usual, Bill O'Flannery updated them on his search for a new home. "Well, good news, everyone," he said in his thick Boston accent. "I've found a place over in Smithville. Nice townhouse style apartment."

They quickly figured out that Bill would be living in the same complex as Bubba and James. Everyone was happy to hear of how work on the water bottling plant project was progressing. Eric looked very distracted and troubled, however. Once the meal was done, everyone went to the family room to visit awhile. Miz Vivian was showing Bill some old pictures found in the attic of the mansion during renovation.

"OK, spill it," Brad said to Eric, as the two couples set together on Miz Vivian's large leather sectional. Brad had gotten to be even closer friends with Eric lately, finding that they had some common interests. This made sense, as Jack and Justin were already longtime best friends.

"What do you mean?" Eric replied to Brad's question after a long pause, playing dumb.

"Honey, you might as well just tell them," Justin said, slipping his arm reassuringly around Eric's shoulders.

"Tell us what?" Jack asked, looking concerned.

"Well, you are our best friends, and I know you'll keep this quiet," Eric said after another long pause.

"You know you guys can always tell us anything, we love you both," Brad said sincerely. "You guys aren't having problems are you?"

"Oh, no, no nothing like that," Justin said quickly with a dismissive wave of his hand, as Eric shook his head in agreement.

"No, we're great," Eric said. "What it is - well, the plant is going to be shutting down guys. They haven't announced it yet, but they will be on Monday."

"Oh, my God, that's awful," Jack said. The automotive parts plant in which Eric worked as head of accounting was one of Pleasant View's largest and oldest employers. "When is it shutting down?"

"The first of the month," Eric said glumly.

"Fuck, that's awful!" Brad interjected. "No more notice than that?"

"I'm afraid not," Eric said.

Miz Vivian and Bill came over, and Eric decided he might as well share the bad news with them as well. Everyone offered their sympathies to Eric. Before much longer, Justin and Eric said goodnight and headed on home. Bill O'Flannery soon excused himself and left the family room as well.

"Well, that just sucks," Brad said.

"Yes, it sure does," Jack agreed. "But, you know, I have an idea. I want to run this by you, Miz Vivian."

"What's that, sugar?" Miz Vivian asked.

"Well, you know I want to stay on the force. And you know that Brad wants to keep working here at the B&B and Mercantile," Jack said.

Miz Vivian nodded, and then Jack continued, "Well, we obviously need someone competent to manage the water bottling plant. We'll also need to hire anywhere from 10 to 15 employees."

"I wish it were more, I hope you're not too disappointed," Miz Vivian interjected then. She was referring to the news she had shared earlier with them regarding the new water bottling company in which they were partners. It turned out that Coca-Cola corporate in Atlanta, for which Miz Vivian's nephew was a Vice President, had decided not to go with their company for its big spring water project.

The good news, however, was that the local Coca-Cola bottler in Corbin, Kentucky had signed a regional distribution agreement with them. The plans for the plant had been greatly scaled back accordingly. However, projections by Miz Vivian's business associates indicated that the regional distribution deal would still make Uncle Joe's Mountain Spring Water a very profitable little venture for Brad, Jack, and Miz Vivian.

Jack replied to what Miz Vivian had said, "No, no. I think the regional deal is just fine. Having a small plant means we can know our employees and treat them right. I still think this is going to be a successful venture for all of us. And, after all, you pretty much saved the mountain AND gave us our shares in the company, so it is not like we're going to complain about how things have turned out regarding the distribution," Jack concluded. Brad nodded in agreement.

"I do too, and thank you," Miz Vivian said, looking relieved. "What were you about to suggest, Jack?" She asked then.

"Well, why don't we hire Eric to run the bottling plant? He's got the management and accounting experience, and we know and trust him. And, we'll ask him to hand pick some of the best employees from the plant, and if they want the jobs, we'll hire them to fill the 10 or 15 bottling line and shipping positions we're going to hire for initially," Jack suggested.

"That is a terrific idea," Miz Vivian said. "At least that way we can help out a few of the people who are going to be displaced from the factory."

"I think me and Brad will go on over there right now and talk to Eric about it," Jack said. They soon said goodnight to Miz Vivian, and drove over to Justin and Eric's house by the lake. It was a moonlit Friday night, and unseasonably warm, still only about 50 degrees at 8pm.

Jack and Brad talked awhile with Eric and Justin. Initially Eric protested, saying he didn't think he would be qualified to run the bottling plant, but he finally agreed. Jack insisted, truthfully, that this was no act of charity, and that if he, Brad, and Miz Vivian didn't think Eric was truly up to the task, they wouldn't be offering him the job. Eric said he would think on who would be best to offer the other jobs to, and that once the auto parts plant had done its layoffs, they could offer those people jobs at the bottling plant once it was completed and operational in a couple of months.

Jack and Brad decided to drop by the Ramblin' Rose for some dessert on their way home. Blake was back at work, and was his usual jokey self, having apparently remarkably enough already recovered from the trauma of his near-rape incident. Truthfully, the incident had really made him stop and think about a few things, but he was determined at the same time to not let it mess him up.

"Hey, y'all," Blake called as Brad and Jack walked in and sat together at the counter. "Be right with you!"

As Brad and Jack were enjoying their dessert, Jody Rickman walked in. Brad and Jack exchanged amused glances at the obvious sparks passing between Jody and Blake. Brad and Jack soon said goodnight and headed on home. Jody still sat at the counter, finishing his burger and fries. Blake came over to talk to him again.

In his forties, the hot bear Jody didn't think he would have a chance with this delicious young blonde college twink, but it sure seemed as though maybe he actually did. He, like everyone else, knew what had happened to Blake - or would at least what would have if it were not for Barney Finkster - so he didn't want to push things too fast.

As Jody left the diner that night, Blake was thinking how hot the older stud was. "No, I'm not going to let what that Aussie ass wipe tried to do to me mess me up," the handsome young Blake said to himself again. "I think I'm ready to date for real now though, and I think I know who I want it to be with."

The next day, on Saturday, Brad and Jack were up and dressed fairly early. Billy Jack was coming to visit. He arrived about 11am, and they all talked for a long while. Brad liked his father-in-law to be immediately. Brad had a good relationship with his own parents. They were loving and accepting about his being gay.

But, it was also great to have the free-spirited Alice as his mother-in-law to be, and now to meet Billy Jack, who himself was gay and also very free-spirited. As for Jack, he was finding it amazing how quickly he was bonding with his father. He knew now he could let go of the past hurt and enjoy knowing the man who had given him life.

It was another oddly warm day, so the three of them all went out and sat on the back porch together in the sunshine. "Before we know it it'll be time to get the pool going again," Jack commented.

"I bet you two have all kinds of fun out here," Billy Jack said slyly. With his twinkling blue eyes, he was an older version of his son, that is if Jack had a mustache and goatee. Brad and Jack both blushed at this comment.

"Oh, Lord, Daddy," Jack said with a laugh. "See, Brad, you can tell why him and Momma were drawn to each other way back when."

"Well, I'm just saying, me and my late partner sure had all kinds of fun in the sun by our pool back in San Jose, and you two are young and I'm sure you have great times out here," Billy Jack said candidly. Then his tone changed to a more serious one, "And, by the way, I like you calling me Daddy. Thank you, son."

Jack grinned, "Did it without even thinking. Look, you're my father and what is past is past. I have to admit I love having you in my life already. But, you're like Momma, you have no filter! I know I'm just getting to know you, but I DON'T want to talk about my sex life with my Daddy!" Jack laughed.

Billy Jack laughed as well, "All right, message received. I was just sayin', anyway."

Brad laughed. Just then the doorbell rang. The sliding glass door was open, so Jack just turned and called back through the house, "It's open, we're out back!"

Soon Barney Finkster came flouncing out onto the back porch. He sat his tiny-toy poodle, Fifi, down, she scampered around the fenced-in backyard, as Barney sat down in a porch chair next to Jack's dad.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize you had company," Barney apologized. Subtlety was not one of the cute old queen's stronger points, and he was very obviously checking Billy Jack Smith out from head to toe.

"Leave something on me, I might catch cold!" Billy Jack quipped, quoting an old Eve Arden line.

"Oh, Lordy!" Barney rasped. "I, well, that is, umm." He blushed.

Everyone laughed. Jack spoke finally, "Barney, this is my Daddy, Billy Jack Smith. Daddy, this is our neighbor who lives back there" - he motioned towards the tall wooden privacy fence in back of the covered pool - "Barney Finkster, and that is his dog Fifi."

Billy Jack and Barney shook hands. Barney was thinking how completely adorable this big, tall, beefy hunk of man was. Like a his-age version of that hot Jack, and no wonder, since he was his daddy. And Barney liked the goatee and stache, too, to him it made the father look even more handsome than the clean-shaven son! And good heavens, Jack had told him the other day about his father being G-A-Y! Gracious, but this could be really nice!

Billy Jack was thinking that Barney was pretty damn cute too. Billy Jack had always had a major thing for more effeminate, thinner men. This guy was certainly a character, he could already tell that, but he was also cute as hell. Reminded Billy Jack a lot of Paul Lynde, with whom Billy Jack had actually once had a tryst way back when out in California, before he had met his late partner. (No one ever believed that story, including Billy Jack's late partner Rick, but it was the God's honest - and Lynde had been a lot of fun, too!)

"I don't want to intrude on your father-son time," Barney rasped. "But, I heard the NEWS from Viv! I'm so glad y'all have set a DATE!"

The four of them talked a bit about Brad and Jack's upcoming nuptials. Brad and Jack let Barney know that the plan was to have the ceremony in Miz Vivian's big third-floor ballroom on Saturday, March, 3.

"That is such a coincidence that you are an event planner and were a florist," Billy Jack commented to Barney. "So was my Rick, for years, out in San Jose."

"I'm so sorry for your loss," Barney offered.

Billy Jack said, "Thank you, I loved him with all my heart. He's been gone over two years now."

Barney visited a few more minutes before heading home. Billy Jack spent the day with Brad and Jack and by the end of the day, they both felt close to Billy Jack. He told them that he was looking for a place there in Burnside County. "I want to be close to you, son. I've always liked this part of the state anyway, and it is not like there's a lot for me up in Annandale anymore."

After Billy Jack had left, Brad and Jack were talking. "What would you think of seeing if Daddy wanted to do route sales for us for the water?"

"Well, hiring family isn't always a good idea," Brad reasoned. "But, on the other hand, it isn't as though you or me is going to be running the company - Eric would be his boss, basically."

"I think I'll see if I can talk him into it. He did sales for years out in California and has a great personality for it," Jack commented.

Brad and Jack were still sitting out back on the porch. "This weather is so crazy," Jack commented. It was nearly dark and yet was still 60 degrees outside in late January.

"Yes, but you know when it breaks it'll be SO cold for a while again before spring," Brad commented.

"I don't mind that, I just hope it stays dry so the work can keep going up on the mountain," Jack said.

"This definitely makes me look forward to spring and summer," Brad said, stretching and enjoying the breeze, which was still warm even though the sun was setting.

Jack pulled his shirt over his head just then. "Feels great to me, too."

"Hey, it's not THAT warm," Brad said with a chuckle.

"Thought you might want a little outside naked time with me in advance of spring - but not in the middle of a snowstorm like a few weeks ago," Jack said with a chuckle.

"Mmm, talked me into it, baby!" Brad said. "I'll be right back!"

Brad got a blanket and returned to find Jack standing there totally naked in the grass at the edge of the backyard. Jack shivered, "Not so warm out here naked!"

"I'll warm you up, big guy!" Brad said with a grin. He spread the blanket, and Jack started helping Brad quickly get naked. They tumbled to the blanket together, their naked bodies entwined as the stars shone brightly overhead.

Soon Brad was licking at Jack's backdoor, causing him to moan softly. Jack soon raised his legs and Brad entered him slowly, tenderly. They became one again there in the soft starlight of the unseasonable January evening, which was made even warmer by the sweet love they were making.

"Oh yeah baby, FUCK ME!" Jack said softly.

Brad did as asked, but went slowly, tenderly, fucking Jack so long that they were both trembling all over, both from the increasing chill of the evening and the intense sensations of their prolonged session of raw mansex lovemaking.

"Uhh! OH GOD!!!" Brad was finally groaning. The knob of his throbbing fat dick was pounding Jack's quivering prostate over and over now.

"Oh Bradley! FUCK I'M GONNA CUM!!!" Jack shouted, and a torrent of hot creamy cop cum flew from his dick to splatter up all over and between them. Brad found his own release deep inside Jack just then as well.

The next few weeks passed quickly. The unseasonably warm weather continued as February began, but by the end of the second week of February it was feeling somewhat more like winter again, with highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s in Pleasant View. This was still good enough weather for construction to keep moving along, and with the earlier period of highs in the 50s and 60s, Bill O'Flannery's crew had really gotten a lot done already.

The receptacle for the spring water was installed in the big rocks above the waterfall at the source of the spring. Jack was pleased at how this was hidden, and he was also pleased that a strong flow of water was still allowed to bubble out of the rocks and down over the falls, so that his and Brad's favorite spot on the mountaintop still looked the same as it always had.

The pipeline down the mountain was nearly completely installed now as well. The concrete pad and foundations of the bottling plant were in place, and construction on the building itself would get underway soon. The auto plant had closed, and Eric had notified about 20 people that they could become employees of Uncle Joe's Mountain Spring Water once the plant was operational in another month or so if they wished, and all had gladly accepted.

Jack's father had moved the previous weekend into a small house he had purchased a couple of streets over from Brad and Jack in Pleasant View. He had spent a good deal more time with Jack, and they were really beginning to get close. Billy Jack had also had dinner the previous Saturday night with Barney Finkster, and had a great time. He was not yet sure if they would be more than friends, but Barney was sure hoping so.

It was Saturday, February 11 and Brad and Jack were out walking in the park. It was cold, but sunny and they were enjoying getting out for a while. Coming from the opposite direction on the park's walking trail through the woods was Jody Rickman. Everyone stopped to talk for a minute.

"See I'm not the only one who decided to get out and walk in spite of the cold," Jody commented with a grin.

"Nope, we thought it would do us all good," Jack agreed.

"What are you going to get into today?" Brad asked Jody.

"Actually have an umm...date tonight," Jody replied almost shyly.

"Oh! Who's the lucky man?" Brad asked with a teasing grin.

"Blake," Jody replied.

"Blake, as in that little college twink whose ass Barney Finkster quite literally saved awhile back?" Jack asked.

"Yep, that's the one," Jody replied.

"Do you think he's really wanting anything more than just a trick?" Brad asked seriously.

"I really do, guys. Look, I know he just turned 20. But, I honestly think that whole scare he had made him stop and think. I think he's done his playing and is ready to try dating seriously for the first time," Jody replied. “And I intend to tell him that it was me that crazy ass Stokes had been after from way back in college.”

"Well, good luck," Jack said evenly, "Just be careful, buddy."

"Don't worry, I'm a big boy, I can take care of myself," Jody said. "Besides, might be worth risking a broken heart to get with that cutie!" He joked with a laugh.

"Not my type, but have fun!" Brad commented with a grin.

That night, Jody picked Blake up at the diner when he got off work at 9:00. They headed back to the apartment that Blake shared with two female roommates, neither of whom was home, and Blake showered and changed while Jody waited in the living room. The guys then went for a long drive around by the lake and talked for quite a while, and ended up stopping in at a little all-night café over in Smithville for a midnight snack.

"This has been so much fun tonight, just getting to know you," Blake said sincerely as they were walking back to Jody's green Ford pickup truck.

They got in the truck and Jody started driving back towards Pleasant View. Blake looked over him and hesitated for a moment as he began to speak. "Jody. Umm, you don't have to...take me home, umm that is if you don't want to," Blake stammered.

Jody's cock twitched in his Wranglers at the implication of this statement. "Are you sure, Blake?" Jody asked.

"Yes. I'd really like to...go back to your place with you. That is if you want me to. And look - I'm not just wanting another hookup either, Jody. I swear. I really...like you. A lot. God I sound stupid!" Blake finished, trailing off.

"No you don't," Jody said quickly. "I think you sound very...sweet. And I'd love to have you spend the night with me, that is if you're sure you're ready."

"Never been more ready," Blake said with a big grin, reaching over to take the handsome older bear's free hand in his as Jody continued driving them toward his place.

Meanwhile, over at Bubba and James' townhouse apartment, the couple was walking the short distance from James' car to their front door. Just then, a very handsome auburn-haired, bearded guy of around 40 was walking out the door two doors down.

"Hello there," the other guy said in a thick Boston accent. "You must be Bubba and James."

"Yes, and from your accent you've got to be the guy from Boston, Bill O'Flannery, who is in charge of building the water bottling plant for Brad, Jack, and Miz Vivian," Bubba said with a grin as he and James took turns shaking hands with Bill.

"Glad we've all heard of each other," Bill said with a chuckle. "I don't think you guys were home when I was moving in the other day."

"No, we were both at work, but Brad and Jack had mentioned you to us, though," James explained.

"Won't you come in and visit for a while?" Bubba invited.

"Think I'll take you up on that," Bill said with a grin.

Bubba and James both felt a major twitching in their pants at having this hot Irish-American muscular construction bear as their guest that evening.

Meanwhile, a glass of wine was being poured at one of the most exclusive restaurants in Rosemont. A late supper had just ended, and now a violinist was playing as a couple drank their wine and smiled at one another.

"Oh, this is just too much, you really shouldn't have!" One of them said to the other.

"Nothing is too much for you, darlin'," the other person replied genuinely.

Back in Pleasant View, at Billy Jack Smith's house that Saturday night, Billy Jack and Barney Finkster had just sat down on the couch together after a wonderful third date. In the span of just a few weeks, they had really started to care for one another, and it was becoming very clear to them both that they were going to be more than just friends.

Billy Jack slipped his big arm around Barney's slight shoulders and pulled him close. They looked in one another's eyes. Billy Jack leaned in and they started to kiss, slowly at first, and then with more passion.

"Oh, my stars, I think I'm gonna faint!" Barney finally said, gasping for air a bit.

"You ain't seen nothing yet, honey," Billy Jack replied with a big grin, pulling Barney close to him once again.

Meanwhile, Blake and Jody were now making out intensely on the couch in Jody's apartment.

"Are you sure about this," Jody asked again huskily.

"YES!" Blake exclaimed with a big grin, as he started unbuttoning Jody's shirt to reveal the furry chest beneath it.

"Mmm, fuck! I love all that fur!" Blake exclaimed. He and Jody together got Jody's shirt the rest of the way off. Blake love the sight of the beefy, furry bear body in front of him, and proceed to start licking and sucking Blake's nips immediately, causing him to moan. Soon Jody was getting Blake out of his t-shirt, and they were falling back on the couch together, Blake's smooth swimmer's build chest and stomach pressed against Jody's furry, beefy ones. Jody chuckled inward at the thought of the fact that way, way back when he had been built much more like Blake himself.

Soon, socks, pants, and underwear were all being cast aside, until the younger and older men were both standing naked and rock hard together there by Jody's couch. "C'mon," Jody said softly, taking Blake's hand and leading him toward the bedroom.

Back at the fancy restaurant up in Rosemont, the man in the couple had gotten down on one knee as the violinist continued to play. The woman gasped softly and put a hand to her ample bosom, which was displayed gaily in the elegant blue satin frock she was wearing that evening with her faux fur wrap.

"Ohmigawd, Hank, is this what I think it is?" Miz Vivian asked as the candlelight glowed in the dimly lit-restaurant, and the handful of other late-dinner guests had all turned to look on now.

"Yes, darlin', it sure is," Hank Anderson replied with a devilish grin, as he turned to gaze up directly into Miz Vivian's eyes before continuing. "Vivian Blanche LaRue Arnow, will you marry me?"

"Yes, oh, yes, you know I will, Hank!" Miz Vivian replied with a huge grin and happy tears in her eyes and in her voice, as the other patrons and staff alike of the Griffin Gate Mansion Restaurant all applauded.

Meanwhile, back at Billy Jack’s house, Billy Jack and Barney had moved to the bedroom, lost all of their clothes, and were now in the middle of making love for the first time. Barney was in heaven with this big hairy beefy hunk of man on top of him - and inside him - and was moaning and screaming accordingly.

Billy Jack was loving every minute of it as well. He had finally done a couple of hookups just before leaving California, true. But, this was the first time he had really felt a connection to a sexual partner since the last time he and his late husband Rick had made love prior to the onset of Rick's terminal illness nearly three years before. The effeminate, slightly built, and truly affectionate Barney had really managed to find a place in Billy Jack's heart that he had thought was potentially closed off forever in just the short weeks they had known one another. Making love to Barney felt just right.

"Oh, Barney, God your ass is tight!" Billy Jack growled as he continued plowing Barney for all he was worth in the missionary position.

"UH-OhGAWD! UM! You sure don't need any - Uh! - FUCKIN' Viagra, do you baby?!?" Barney moaned and grunted with a big smile on his face.

"Nope! AH-UH! Sure don't - UH! - Barney!" Billy Jack replied with a big grin, as he continued to pound away at Barney's ass with his hard as steel, very fat six-inch cut cock. Jack took Barney's own dripping six and a half inch uncut prick in his fist then, and began to stroke Barney as he fucked him.

Being 60 had done nothing to dim either man's libido, and they were fucking like rabbits now. The lean, smooth Barney had kept his swimmer's build of decades before, and the beefy Billy Jack was no longer in as good a shape as was his cop son, but he was still more solid than fat too, though.

"Uh! I'm gonna fuckin' cum in you, Barney!" Billy Jack soon grunted.

"Oh! OhGAWD!!! DO IT BABY!" Barney screamed.

When it was over, they held each other. This had been more than just sex, this was the beginning of something neither of them had thought they would find again at this stage in the game. Of that they were both sure as they lay there on that Saturday night before Valentine's Day.

Back at Bubba and James' apartment, Bill O'Flannery had been sitting and talking to the couple for quite a while on their couch. One thing had led to another, and Bubba had revealed to Bill's delight that he and James enjoyed playing together with other guys. At that moment the three men were busily getting each other completely naked.

Once this was accomplished, Bill O'Flannery was soon gasping in delight as James worked on his nipples while Bubba went down on Bill's rock hard, throbbing eight-inch uncut cock and licked his big low-hanging sack.

"Aww, yeah, suck my fuckin' cock bro!" Bill groaned.

Before long, Bill was blowing James as Bubba continued to suck Bill. This went on for quite a while, until finally Bill's big cock unloaded so much cum in Bubba's mouth that it overflowed and ran down Bubba's chin as he came up gasping off of Bill's meat. About that same time, Bill was rewarded with James' own nice load of cum.

"Ya know, I think I'm gonna like my new neighbors!" Bill said with a grin as they all sat there panting and breathing hard. Bubba had shot his own load all over the floor as he had taken Bill's load.

The next few days passed by, and soon it was Valentine's night, and Brad and Jack were making love in their bed after returning home from a nice dinner in Smithville after work. They flip fucked that night, first Brad taking Jack, and then Jack returning the favor.

Brad had his legs up on Jack's broad shoulders as they both groaned in delight, their second orgasm of the night approaching.

"God I love you!" Brad shouted.

"I love you too - UH! - Bradley!" Jack replied. He then moaned as his dick unloaded inside of Brad, and Brad began to ejaculate his own hot load.

Candlelight was glowing and soft music was playing. "Up for round three?" Jack soon asked with a naughty grin.

"We'll both be late for work in the morning!" Brad said, grinning back.

"It'll be worth it!" Jack retorted.

The next morning as she and Brad sipped coffee in the gift shop, Miz Vivian told Brad about her engagement. He congratulated her heartily.

"You're lookin' awful happy yourself this morning - guess your big fellow gave you a Valentine's night to remember," Miz Vivian said naughtily.

Brad blushed a little but laughed and nodded in the affirmative.

"So did mine!" Miz Vivian laughed.

"Whoa, TMI!" Brad laughed. "But seriously, I really am happy for you. Hank is a great guy, and you make a wonderful couple."

Later that day, Miz Vivian and Hank were alone together in the study. "So, what do you think of that idea, darlin'?" She asked with a grin.

"I think it is all a damn great idea, hon," Hank replied, smiling back. "If you're sure they won't raise hell on you about it."

"Which part?" Miz Vivian replied, laughing youthfully.

Saturday February 25, 2012 was a sunny day in Pleasant View, Kentucky, with temperatures in the 50s. The unseasonably mild winter in the area had only been broken a couple of times, most recently with some snow about a week before. But, the mostly dry and mild weather had allowed Bill O'Flannery's team to move along much faster than expected on the water-bottling project at Smith's Mountain.

The pipeline down the mountain was complete, and construction was well underway on the metal building that would house the small bottling plant. On this sunny day, Brad and Jack were on top of the mountain alone. They were walking over to where the spring water came bubbling out of the large rock outcropping to run down in a waterfall, before forming the creek that rushed down the mountainside.

"I can't believe it. It looks just like it always has up here," Brad commented.

"They did a great job," Jack agreed.

Indeed, the device that diverted part of the spring's abundant flow down the mountain through the pipe to the new plant was completely hidden beneath the rocks. The pipeline itself was buried, with only a small cut through the forest and freshly-turned soil leading off down the mountain parallel to the creek to indicate its location. The new plant was at the foot of the mountain on a flat piece of land near the highway.

Brad and Jack walked hand in hand in the sunshine through the big field where they had made love in the wildflowers the summer before. Brad noticed fresh tracks through the grass, and where they ended, on a point of the field that had a view of the valley far below, he was surprised to see stakes, and freshly-poured concrete foundation.

"What in the world is this, Jack?" Brad asked.

"This is the foundation for our new weekend cabin, darlin'," Jack said with a big sly grin.

Meanwhile, 150 miles away down in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Miz Vivian Arnow and retired lawyer Hank Anderson had just said, "I do," to a preacher dressed like Elvis in the Hunk’a Burnin' Love Wedding Chapel. They ran laughing out the doors as the two strangers who had witnessed their nuptials threw rice baggies.

"I can't believe we did it!" Miz Vivian laughed.

"I just hope my new stepchildren don't kill me!" Hank laughed.

"Aww, hell, I'm almost 68 and your 75, when the hell else were we gonna get a chance to run off and ELOPE?!?" Miz Vivian exclaimed, still laughing like a schoolgirl.

As they drove up the mountain to the rented honeymoon cabin they were spending the weekend in, Hank turned to his new bride.

"So, are you still sure about the rest of it?" Hank asked.

"Well, I am if you are sure you don't mind," Miz Vivian agreed.

"Well, we can take care of it all as soon as we get back to town, if it is what you want," Hank said. "After all, we'll be fine in that big ol' rambling house of mine for the rest of our days.

It was true, Hank did live in his family's huge old ancestral antebellum home between Pleasant View and Smithville, which was even larger and gaudier than Miz Vivian's house in town.

"Well, and you know my son the doctor and his snobby wife already have their big contemporary monstrosity, and the family plantation back home in Georgia - well my nephew takes care of it and I'll leave it to him someday," Miz Vivian reasoned. "So, yes, I think what I have in mind is the best for everyone, and I don't think anyone will mind. I want to go and see the world with you while we're both still able, darlin'."

"Sounds great. Now, if THEY'LL just let you do what you are wanting to for them," Hank added.

"Oh, hell, I'll talk 'em into it," Miz Vivian said.

Barney Finkster was in wedding planning mode. He was measuring in the ballroom at Miz Vivian's, as his new boyfriend Billy Jack watched, helped, and smiled in amusement.

"Oh, I'm so excited for the boys!" Barney rasped.

"Me too," Billy Jack nodded. "Who knows, things keep going the way they are between us, I may just be taking YOU down the aisle one of these days, babe."

"Oh, MY!" Barney said with a grin, as Billy Jack came over and embraced him. They shared a tender kiss.

Jody and Blake were walking together in the park. They were well aware that half the gay community in the area was making fun of their new May-December...well more like May - September - romance, but neither cared. They had made love so much recently that they supposed they could see how others might think it was all about the sex - but it really wasn't. They were truly in love with one another.

Back up on Smith's Mountain, Jack was explaining the surprise he had just revealed to Brad.

"You remember how we joked around about Loretta and Doo's cabin on the mountain in "Coal Miner's Daughter" when we were up here last summer?" Jack asked with a grin.

"Yes," Brad laughed.

"Well, I know you remember that little cabin we stayed in back in December in Gatlinburg," Jack said, grinning sexily as he remembered the love they had made there.

"Yes," Brad said again, still grinning.

"Well, Bill O'Flannery is having his guys build us one just like it right here!" Jack said with a huge grin.

"Can we really afford it?" Brad said.

Jack laughed. "I have a pretty good savings from over the years, darlin'. Plus, Miz Vivian seems to think we'll have a pretty good extra income from the water plant once we get in production before too long. So, yes, we can afford it, and it will be my wedding present to you."

"Thank you, and I love you so much, big guy," Brad said. They kissed there in the sunshine.

"I'm so relieved to have this job," Eric commented to Justin as they sat on their back deck overlooking Pleasant View Lake enjoying the mild late-February afternoon.

"Me too," Justin said. "As they told you when he first offered it to you, Jack and Brad and Miz Vivian didn't offer you the job as charity though, babe. You'll do a great job of running their bottling plant."

"I hate to have to leave you here on such a pretty afternoon, but I do need to be getting on to work before too long," Justin said, as they both got up and headed back into the house.

Bubba and James were lying in bed together at that moment, after having enjoyed a mid-afternoon fuck. James had his head nestled in the soft fur on Bubba's big broad chest.

"I love you, baby," James said softly.

"I love you too, with all my heart," Bubba said.

They kissed tenderly. Soon James was back in Bubba's arms, feeling Bubba's thick cock rapidly hardening once again as his own did the same.

"Mmm is somebody wanting to return the favor?" Bubba rumbled in his deep, sexy voice.

"Hell yes!" James exclaimed with a wicked grin.

Before long Bubba had his long legs on James' shoulders and they were going at it again, with James plowing his lover fast and deep.

"UH! God that cock feels good in me, baby!" Bubba groaned.

"Oh, FUCK YEAH!" James grunted. "That ass is so hot baby!"

They fucked heatedly for several minutes, before they both finally shot another big load, and collapsed there in the slanting afternoon sunshine, holding one another.

Finally Bubba spoke, "So, next weekend is Jack and Brad's wedding."

"Yep, I'm so happy for them, too bad it isn't legal yet in this stupid state, though," James replied.

"I think they have the right idea though," Bubba said evenly.

"Oh yeah, so great to publicly commit their love to one another, so romantic," James said.

"So, how about it," Bubba said, squeezing James tighter.

"What?" James asked.

"Want to get married too, baby?"

James sucked in his breath. "Oh, God, Bubba. I love you so much. YES!"

They kissed again. "You make me so happy. I love you with all my heart," Bubba said. He then had to tease James a little. "You didn't just say 'yes' because of all that great sex we just had, did you?"

James playfully walloped Bubba with a pillow, and soon they headed off to shower together.

That night, Brad and Jack went to dinner with Jack's father and Barney.

"Just think, a double date with your handsome son and his fiancé!" Barney quipped as they sat across from each other in a booth at the Ramblin' Rose.

Barney went over all the wedding plans, and Brad and Jack both had to admit that the old queen definitely still had his decorator's touch. Their ceremony sounded as though it was going to be totally beautiful.

As they lay naked in their bed together that night, Jack looked deep in Brad's eyes before turning off the bedside lamp.

"Just think, only a week from now we'll officially be each other's husband. I don't give a damn about the law. In every way that count's we'll belong to each other," Jack said sincerely.

"We already do babe, I love you so much," Brad said with a tender smile.

"I love you too, darlin'," Jack said, before turning off the light.

"Just think, only a week from now we'll officially be each other's husband. I don't give a damn about the law. In every way that counts we'll belong to each other," Jack said sincerely.

"We already do babe, I love you so much," Brad said with a tender smile.

"I love you too, darlin'," Jack said, before turning off the light.

Before they knew it, the next week had flown by. It was 8:00 am on Saturday, March 3, Brad and Jack's wedding day. The ceremony was to be held at 2:00 pm in Miz Vivian's back yard, weather permitting, which it certainly was going to be since it was sunny and predicted by be nearly 70 degrees on this beautiful, unseasonably warm late winter day.

Brad awoke Jack with a tender kiss that morning, and they made love slowly and tenderly before getting ready for their big day.

That afternoon, all of their friends were there for the ceremony. A classical piece they both liked played softly as they stood together on the small altar that had been constructed in front of a sea of chairs. Barney had decorated everything gloriously in shades of white and green, giving the wedding a very spring feel.

Brad and Jack recited their own simple vows to one another, and Miz Vivian, who they had asked to perform the ceremony pronounced them, in her own unique way, "Husbands, even if this damn backwards state doesn't think it's legal yet - now kiss him, Bradley!"

Brad did as instructed, and he and Jack kissed long and passionately as everyone applauded.

The reception was in a tent nearby, and followed the ceremony immediately. When it was nearly over, Miz Vivian came over to Brad and Jack. "I need to talk to you boys before you leave, even though I know you have to be in a hurry to get going."

"Well, our train doesn't leave Ashland until 10:08 tonight," Brad explained.

"I thought you might want a little alone time before then, Miz Vivian said with a naughty wink. Brad and Jack both blushed just a little, and then laughed.

They followed Miz Vivian into the study, after letting some of their friends and family know they would be back outside before everyone left. Hank was there in the study waiting.

"What's up, is something wrong?" Jack asked in concern.

"Not at all," Hank said with a grin.

"Sit down boys," Miz Vivian said with a smile. Jack and Brad sat down, and Miz Vivian continued talking, "Y'all know that Hank has that big ol' family home of his. Now that we're married, I'm going to move into it with him. You also know that my son Tony, the doctor, and his snobby wife barely have anything to do with me and don't give a shit about this Inn."

Brad and Jack looked uncomfortable, like they didn't quite know what to say.

"It's OK, I know y'all know that," Miz Vivian said with a wave of her hand. "They have that big contemporary monstrosity of a house and don't care about this house - or even me - all that much. And you also know that my nephew in Georgia will inherit the family plantation where I lived before moving here someday, since he loves it - and me."

Brad and Jack both nodded slowly, wondering where all of this was heading.

Miz Vivian finally concluded her news. "Well, I have decided - and Hank agrees - that we are going to give this property to you. Hank has the papers all drawn up, all you have to do is sign, and you've got yourselves an Inn and Mercantile!"

Brad and Jack's mouths both fell open. They were truly shocked. They finally both started to protest about how they could not possibly accept such a huge gift, on top of everything else Miz Vivian had already done for them.

"Nonsense. Truth is I just bought this old place as a tax write-off, and for a change of scenery from back home. Well, I've come to love it, and I know Bradley has loved it for years, and you've lived right across the street forever, Jack," Miz Vivian reasoned. "Y'all will take care of this place and live in it. Brad already does a fine job running the store and the inn. And this way you can rent your house across the street out - that is if that is what you want to do - and y'all can live here. Brad can run the inn, you can still be on the force, and with the money the store and inn take in, along with your police salary and the income from your all's part of the water plant - you should be able to live comfortably and maintain this place and enjoy it for many years to come."

The guys knew all of this was true, and after much more protest, then immense thanks and some tears, they signed on the dotted line. Hank assured them he'd take care of everything down at the courthouse on Monday, and that when they got back from their honeymoon, they'd officially own the Historic Thomason House Bed and Breakfast and Miz Viv's Mercantile.

Brad, Jack, Hank, and Miz Vivian returned to the party. They shared the unbelievable news with their friends and family, who were all overjoyed for them as well. The reception went on for a good while longer with just the closest friends and family, before it finally started to wind down.

"I love you son, enjoy your honeymoon. I love you too Bradley - son!" Alice Albertson said with a bright smiling, hugging them both and giving them kisses on the cheek.

"Take good care of him," Billy Jack said with a big grin, patting Brad on the back. "Love you son, have fun in New Orleans!"

"Enjoy yourselves!" Barney Finkster rasped, with Billy Jack holding his hand.

"We will, Barney," Brad said. "Looks like you two could be next at the altar!"

Billy Jack and Barney both grinned, laughed, and blushed at that.

Brad and Jack hugged and shaked in turn with Eric and Justin, Bubba and James, and Jody and Blake, as well as many of their other friends and family members, all of whom wished them happiness and a wonderful honeymoon.

Tin cans were tied to the back of Brad’s car. The guys were driving up to catch Amtrak's Cardinal in Ashland, Kentucky, to start their honeymoon journey first to Chicago, then on to New Orleans.

In the car on the way up to Ashland, Jack and Brad were discussing Hank and Miz Vivian’s amazing gift.

"I still can't believe it, I've loved that big, beautiful old house ever since I was a little kid," Brad said.

"Me either, Miz Vivian is beyond wonderful to us," Jack commented.

Before the guys knew it, they were standing on the trackside platform adjacent to the Ohio River as the Cardinal came roaring in to a stop, right on time at 10:08 PM. Soon Brad and Jack were in their bedroom on the train's sleeper car. Jack locked the door and closed the blinds.

As the train rushed northwest at 79 MPH up the old C&O line, Brad and Jack were soon making love in the bottom berth of their sleeper bedroom. Jack fucked Brad tenderly, and they both kept their voices quiet as they made love, well aware of the thin sleeper walls. Soon they were both cumming. They cleaned up, then lay back down together, both of them on then wide lower bedroom berth. They opened the window blind back and moonlight streamed in, allowing them to lie in one another's arms and gaze out at the Ohio River as they rolled along toward Chicago through the night.

"Do you think you'll like Chicago, Bradley?" Jack asked.

"I'm sure I will, but I'm looking forward to New Orleans even more," Brad commented.

"When we get back, the water plant will be opening up soon. And now we'll be getting settled into Miz Vivian's - I mean OUR - house too!" Jack said with a smile.

"Yes, are you sure you want to rent yours out?" Brad asked.

"OURS, Jack corrected gently. And, yes, it makes sense to do that. Eric will do a fine job running the plant, and you'll do a fine job with the inn. And of course I plan on staying on the force for a long time to come. And remember, when we want to get away from it all, we'll have the cabin on the mountain to go to as well."

Brad looked out at the moonlight on the river, as the train's whistle sounded melodically ahead. He squeezed Jack tight. "This is all like a wonderful dream, Jack. I love you so."

"This dream is just beginning, Bradley. I love you with all my heart, and I always will," said Jack. They kissed again, as the train rolled on through the moonlit Kentucky night.

This chapter of this story was originally the end of my Officer Jack gay erotic soap and mystery series as it was first written a few years ago. After a couple of years I picked these characters back up and continued writing more about the life and times of Pleasant View, Kentucky. So, "stay tuned" here for the newly revised version of that continuation, entitled A Cold Spell. This next story in my Pleasant View series is unlike anything that comes before or afterward in the ongoing lives of Jack, Brad, and friends. A Cold Spell is my foray into the world of sci-fi, and is also my homage to the eerie events surrounding a tragedy and a mythical (or real) creature that some say still haunts the hills and hollers of Appalachia.
