As one would expect, cartography in an ever-shifting land is a complicated affair. Tatterdemalion likes to think they're good at it, though. But when a young woman comes into their shop asking for a very particular, very expensive, very dangerous map, they end up taking her in as an assistant, hoping it'll reduce the possibilities of their work leading to her early death.
And as they make each other company, both may find their way through the world again.
