So many of Comsie’s stories were left incomplete because he left this earth too soon. My attempt at completing Sneak Away last year seemed to go over pretty well, so I decided I’d attack one of his most popular stories. With a little help.

We’ll address a number of plot points including T&A, R&R, R&S, and Randy Sr.

Write a short story featuring only one character. No secondary characters at all. You might drop them in the woods and see how they fare, or come up with your own idea, but only one character is allowed.

Fraser Vogel knew it was dangerous to parachute in high winds. He wasn’t left with too many options in his Cessna 182 Skylane when its yoke seized and the engine failed.

Jump or crash? Pretty easy choice.

Have you ever wondered what happens in a furniture store after the lights go out? Neither have I. But here’s one story told from the point of view of one of the items waiting to be sold.

Write a story that begins with a phone call at three in the morning.

Trevor insisted the house phone be on his side of the bed. There was one problem with that; Trevor was nearly impossible to wake up. One night, the phone rings at three AM. Julius has a hard time waking Trevor, but finally succeeds. Trevor finally answers the phone on the ninth ring. The phone call starts something they never could have expected.

Stanley and Addison have a discussion over Addison’s latest cooking experiment.

A hopefully humorous look at places a golfball may wind up that wouldn’t be fun for the golfballs.

Once again we visit with Stanley and Addison. Addison appears to be as bad at golf as he was with duct tape.

This is a much delayed spin-off from the two-part Clinton Boys series. We’re reacquainted with Ed Lamont and Claude Moreau, two boys whose paths meet and over the span of almost a decade, culminate in disaster.

Reading or being familiar with the Clinton Boys series isn’t necessary. In fact, if you haven’t read it, you won’t be exposed to a number of spoilers should you decide to skip it. But feel free to go back and read it afterward. Heehee.

A musically based story where a young guitar player takes over for a deceased member of a popular group and is guided by his ghost.

This story follows Virgil and Sam, two teen boys who were unaware of each other’s crush on the other, on their sexual discoveries and journey. With a bunch of other interesting stuff that happens along the way to them and their friends. Those that know my work know that interesting will take many forms.

It’s also different from any of my other stories because it is told from multiple points of view. Many characters act as the narrator over the course of the story. I was told this format/style doesn’t work, but I decided to let you all judge for yourselves. I hope you all enjoy it, whether for the first time or not.
