The WALL - 1. Is there something wrong with me?

Hey you over there,

Yes you with the middle aged stare,

Is there something wrong with me?

I look around jealous at what i see,

I think just maybe there’s something wrong with me.

Why do I look in the mirror,

And think Your nothing,

i hate you why do you dither,

your nothing when I think this,

I cry I cry because I will never ever get of this emotional seesaw!

The must be something wrong with me,

Can't you see how much I bleed,

No one did this for it was none other than me,

I here the word the jabs and cries,

You all tell me ugly lies,

About how I should just go die,

So here I am just asking you to be true,

I'm asking is there something wrong with me?

no, I'm asking is there something wrong with you?

Surely not saying it was me! that all you pain was caused by thee.

I understand now that when I cry,

I was not you It was I,

I stand up tall above the clouds,

just because you were so fucking proud,

You knew I wouldn't self pity,

I took my self down under for you're my cause,

of my loneliness and notoriety,

Because of you I undertook my last applause.

The shock was vial,

peaceful at last sleeping softly,

I bet my parents are still in denial,

as to why I took my own life numbly.

Freddiness, this was a really touching, yet troubling poem to read. You definitely delivered the feelings of insuffiency and selfhatred and dissapointment to me. My favourite part was the ending, the pointless revenge.

This has a very strong sound to it. Like the beat in a song lyric. Or rap? The voice is strong and angry and defiant. You are very observant, I think, because this is about what you see as much as what you feel. The truly sad part is suicide never answers the question you ask. Is there something wrong with me? Much more likely to find answers living and writing poety like this one.
