Do you write your stories longhand first? Back in the old days I always used to. Then I’d do a first draft longhand, editing and correcting it as I typed it into a word processor. Nowadays I write directly into a word processor, but often, if I'm outlining or stuck, I’ll pick up a pen and notebook again.

That sounds like a great way to edit; you end up writing it twice and are able to catch mistakes easily when transcribing. I only use my notebook to write out story notes, most of it is written on my laptop.

I love the doodles!  I do a lot of my outlining with pen and paper, but the majority of my writing on the laptop.  If I'm at work and I have to write, then I'll write in a notebook and transcribe it to the computer later.

I’m the same way! Plus if I wake up with an idea at 4am, it’s much easier to reach for the notebook than the laptop
