*sniffle, sniffle*

So, today was the big day!!! Little brother went off to college... all by himself... five hours away :( He came to have breakfast with me on my break at work since I had to be there at 3am and he had to leave before I would get home. He was telling me a story about how he and his 'semi-girlfriend/prom date' went out to lunch yesteday and how she was crying, so being the amazingly strong big sis/ mom figure in his life I waited till he drove out of the parking lot and then I had my breakdown... :,( Needless to say, the whole talk I had with myself about not becoming a big crying mess at work didn't work  But the people I work with were great!! My 'work hubby' (long story for a later date) gave me a big hug... and the girls I usually break with waited for me to come back from breakfast to make sure I was ok... sweeties!! :2thumbs: Anyway, he called 3 times on the five hour drive there... I am guessing he was a little nervous  but I haven't got a call in about 5 hours so I guess he might have met the roommates and is having some FUN!!So, as glad as I am to be rid of his teenage hormones and attitude, the down side is that now I have to take out the trash... not that he ever did it without an argument anyway... Oh, and I will REALLY MISS HIM!!!!! *Says to herself* This is a good thing for him, and he is a big boy now, and you have taught him well, he will be OK, I hope  Sigh, Viv :/

Viv...

You done good...you raised him, sent him out the world and he will be fine....

Hugs to you....and you will be there for him as you hear about those first semester jitters....and the excitement and fun parts too:)

Just remind him to study in between in all those parties and to attend class and actually read so he doesn't flunk out (that's your Mom perogative kicking in...but he will appreciate it and knows you love him to bits:)

Until then, just know you raised him right and he will be just fine.....

Hugs and tissues to wipe away the tears and sniffles sent your way:)
