hh5 Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Today in international tech news: Despite pressure, Nintendo won't include gay relationship options in an upcoming videogame. Also: Vodafone asks an international arbitrator to resolve its Indian tax headache; the First Lady tweets about an African kidnapping; and Huawei launches a new -- rather expensive -- smartphone. Nintendo won't include same-sex romantic activities in English editions of an upcoming life simulator game. The company has faced pressure, including a fan-fueled social media campaign, to let users have gay relationships in Tomodachi Life, a game whose characters are modeled after real people. The company never meant for the game to be a "social commentary," Nintendo of America said in a statement. Instead, the game is meant to be "whimsical and quirky," with relationship options representing "a playful alternate world."
Asmita Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 That's a bunch of bull considering it's supposed to be a "life simulator" game. Whether or not they like it, not everyone in the universe is straight!
