Hi there, I am a new person on GA, and I look forward to having a bunch of positive interactions on here! I absolutely love helping people out with finding who they are or with general life problems. My question is, am I allowed to have people message me if they need help with something?

We have a PM system that allows messaging between our members, but I would have to caution about using that to do any counselling, especially if it's in relation to an underage member. Most of the time, people looking for help will do so in either one of the forums here (we have a Teen Forum that's often used for that purpose by our younger members), or in chat. There shouldn't be many times when private conversations are needed.

 

Soliciting for off-site conversations is frowned upon because often that is the sign of an Internet predator. I would strong advise against doing that.
