Popular Post Topher Lydon Posted July 21 Popular Post Posted July 21 I have been reminded by my person, that us favourite Pet Writers get a bit squirrelly and feral when on a writing binge. I've been instructed to take a break for a few hours, eat, and what not to take care of myself. So, I appreciate all the long suffering patience of the people in my life who put up with my moments (sometimes weeks) of utter unhinged insanity, talking to myself, and battering of keys on a mechanical keyboard at all hours of the day... I had him up at 5:30 this morning when I began my writing day with a mad glee of explosions, rushing water, and Russians... I have been supplied with Coffee, and disapproving glares of my early hour manic behaviour. So if you have a pet Writer, go hug them, because they are grateful for every long suffering moment you go through. 1 5
Aditus Posted July 21 Posted July 21 Noted July 21st. My person supplies me with various beverages, depending on the time of day and season. Food is not a problem as binge writing is always combined with manic cooking. Anyway, good idea. 1 4
JarianDaProducer Posted August 24 Posted August 24 Oh man, I can relate to this, when I get into a writing groove, I’ll lose track of time completely. There’ve been plenty of nights where I’ve looked up and realized it’s 3 a.m. with an empty coffee mug and zero real food in me. My partner usually ends up dragging me away from the keyboard to eat something or at least stretch, otherwise I’d just keep pounding away at the keys. Honestly, those little nudges make all the difference, because once the ideas start flowing it’s hard to stop. 1 3
Topher Lydon Posted August 24 Author Posted August 24 My Sam is... patient... like saintly so. Yesterday we're having dinner with his parents, and I am book babbling, like a genuine madman. His step-dad is always very amused by my... um... I am sure he thinks I am nuts... Sammy's an accountant, so... you know... the common sense of the pair of us. 1 2 1
