Why must my age range be added on my profile?

Gay Authors requires all members to keep an accurate age range listed in their profile due to the huge age range of people on the site.  Gay Authors has members from their early teens into their eighties.  In order to be safe for our younger members, we require all members to keep their age available to staff.  This helps ensure the staff can protect minors.

Gay Authors also uses the age range to better understand our membership.
