I've loved the whole journey, and even made side trips to read all the other stories from LittleBuddhaTW. Looking forward to lots more but I have one request - don't break Tommy or Jonah's heart 😄

I didn't get that. I felt Tommy was mature enough, and confident enough, to deal with Jonah without being bulldozed.

I was hoping they would fall from a rooftop cocktail bar but had forgotten to make a will, leaving Jack independently wealthy. Or a horrific car crash. Or skydiving. I'm not fussed.

Two things I'm not clear about. Nick's Mum seems to be avoiding/ignoring the obvious crisis. I wonder if she is just assuming, from the little she sees, that the psychiatrist will sort it all out in the meantime, or eventually. Secondly "She said Jack’s insurance wouldn’t cover an in-home aide" I'm not sure how that would work in the US but doesn't Nana have the means to pay for a cleaner and gardener? Not even live-in, just someone to take some of the chores over. Or maybe Nick is just Cinderella 😀

I have spent the day battling with Spanish bureaucracy and I'm now drinking a large gin. I suspect I know who is to blame. 😜

Reminds me of a friend who lived in London, in a really rough area but there was never any street crime, car thefts or violence. A nice, leafy, peaceful street. Turned out his next door neighbour was the biggest drug dealer in South London and he didn't want any trouble on his doorstep. He was really nice bloke apparently! The only drawback was the Police would turn up once in a while at 5am as if he'd be stupid enough to keep drugs in his home.

I hated this chapter... and I loved this chapter. I hated what was happening but I loved how it was written. However, I do think we should band together, storm LittleBuddhaTW's house and find the last few chapters!

Do it! We decided to drive (from Spain) on a Friday afternoon and left on Monday. It's a truly great city. One thing though, don't believe TripAdvisor when it says the best pastel de nata comes from a giant McDonalds-like 'factory' in the city. But that said, almost any other pastel de nata is worth the trip on their own.

For me, if I was Nick's Mum, I would point out that both the letters say nothing about Jack but speak volumes about the parents. The letters demonstrate the mean vindictiveness of his parents and their narcissism. Jack has been the target of this, not the cause. Easy enough for me to say of course.

I'm happy with the current schedule. I get frustrated with stories on Nifty that post a new chapter after 6 months and we're expected to remember 27 characters, 3 sub-plots and 7 locations.
