This was an incredible story - moving, thrilling and brilliantly written. My only negative is that the ending wasn't quite as 'kiss off' a happy ending as I had hoped it would be. I would live if the story continued in a sequel when we could see Derek and Charlie actually get together. Thanks for a truly great story.

Hi CiaThanks for your reviews. I am intrigued as to what you think of the rest of it, but maybe it didn't live up to its early promise?W

We decided to keep it a secret to begin with so that we could just enjoy each other’s company without having to deal with all the fall out. That lasted about a week. We told Matt and Simon first, who were both very surprised, but were fine with it. Amanda was overjoyed when we broke it to her. We let everyone else find out by word of mouth. Our parents we each told ourselves. Mine acted as if I had just told them the weather for tomorrow. My other brothers were fine as well. Casper was

The room was dark save for five or six candles flickering about the room. Having come from the brightly lit corridor, I couldn't make out anything in the gloom and I was about to flick the light switch on when a guitar started strumming, joined a few seconds later by a voice. "To lead a better life I need my love to be here... Here, making each day of the year Changing my life with a wave of your hand Nobody can deny that there's something there There, runni

I woke up the next morning and, like an old clichéit took me a while to remember where I was. Well, not that long a while as my first few breaths brought unfamiliar pain and I remembered everything, including my confession to Andrew. My stomach lurched and I felt sick. I couldn't remember his reaction. Why can't I remember his reaction? I didn't remember that I had barely been able to speak and that my last two words before losing the battle against the pain meds and my o

We walked into the club and I immediately saw the owner sitting on his usual stool. I inwardly begged him not to look up or acknowledge me and, thankfully, he didn't. The club was quite full and although Casper's fake ID had worked at the door we decided it wasn't worth the risk at the bar. He looked even less 21 than we did. I decided to get the first round and went and stood by the owner. "Hi," I said. "Hello stranger." "Um . . . I don't want you

Andrew was waiting for us when we arrived and shook hands with Casper. "It's nice to finally meet you," he said. "Ryan talks a lot about his brothers." "He does?" Casper said. "He never shuts up about you either." I laughed nervously and shot Casper a venomous look. Andrew offered Casper a Coke and when he'd turned around and bent down to get it from the fridge, Casper gave me two thumbs up, a saucy wink and then held up both palms and flashed the "10" signal.

Spring Break was a blast, although I spent most of the time trying my best not to get hard with Andrew walking about in his small trunks. Although there was no doubt that he was more confident now that his genitals had caught up with the rest of him, he was still the same person. Kind of shy in a big crowd, especially if there were people he didn't know, but smart and fun in a small group of friends. I loved him even more for the fact that his new 'crown jewels' hadn't made him, well, co

I can't say that my next visits to gay clubs during the rest of the semester were any more successful. In fact, they followed exactly the same pattern: I'd start dancing with an Andrew-clone, we'd kiss and then after initial excitement I'd quickly 'deflate' and whatever was happening on the dance floor would fizzle out. My sexual frustration increased my jealousy of Amanda and Andrew's intimacy and the more jealous I got the ruder I was towards her. "Can I have a word," Andrew sa

The next few weeks passed by and from the outside you would have thought that all was back to normal between me and Andrew, but whilst we were hanging out together a lot of the time like we had before, there were now awkward silences in our conversations where there hadn't been any before. He also spent quite a lot of time with the girl, Amanda. I never saw them kiss and she never spent the night, but I figured they simply did that stuff in her room. I was surprised that Andrew w

Casperand I had talked a lot more about it. He said that I needed to tell Andrew everything and I told him I would. The Christmas holidays ended and I headed back to College, a pit of nervousness in my stomach. Andrew hadn't got back when I reached our room. I sat on my bed and waited. After what seemed like an eternity I heard his key in the door. He walked in. "Hi," I said, with a smile. "Hi," he said. "Good break?" "Yeah, you?" "

Looking back now, I can admit that I did not behave well in the following weeks. I was so muddled up by what I was feeling that I didn't know what to do. I am not using that as an excuse, but I hope it is at least mitigation for my actions. I withdrew from the close friendship with Andrew. I was so convinced that the whole situation with him was to blame for my confusion that I felt sure that if I disengaged that all would go back to normal. I avoided being alone with And

A couple of nights later I was lying in bed, unable to sleep, my thoughts buzzing around my head. Andrew was asleep, although it was a restless sleep. He was muttering to himself and then let out a series of panting breaths followed by a groan. "Are you alright, buddy?" I asked, turning on the light. Andrew had woken up and was sitting up with a slightly dazed expression. "Bad dream?" "Um . . . not really. The opposite in fact." I looked at him qui

After the events of poker night, Andrew and I became even closer. It was clear that the weight of his secret had stopped him from being completely at ease with me and now that he had shared it he was much more open, much more relaxed and I found myself liking him more and more. Three weeks passed and without even noticing it, Andrew had become my best friend. I'd plenty of male friends from school and now at College too, but Andrew was different. At first I didn't realize the extent of i

"Hey Andrew," I called out to him later that day. "Yeah." "You know you mentioned you play poker?" "Yeah." "Well, I was wondering whether you'd teach me. I've never played and I'm told every guy at College does." "Of course, I will," he said, smiling. "When do you want to start?" "How about this evening?" "You're not going to that party down at Beaufort House?" he asked, referring to a bar in town. "To be honest, I'm kind partied ou

I didn't let anything on to Matt or Simon, but over the next few days I tried every stratagem I could think of to catch a glimpse of what Andrew was packing. My first attempt involved the bathroom. When Andrew was out I broke the lock on the bathroom door and waited for him to take his next shower. That evening, before we headed out Andrew took a shower. "While you're taking a shower I'm just gonna get a Coke from the machine," I said as he went into the bathroom. "You wa

We headed to the party and as I predicted, about a second after we arrived all the hottest girls dumped the luckless guys they had been chatting with and swarmed like bees to honey around Andrew. At first I thought he was playing it cool, but as his face got redder and redder and he clumsily rebuffed various advances I realized that he had been telling the truth when he had said that he would not be needing to tie the tie around the door knob. Why was he letting all these women w

It all started at the beginning of College. I arrived a day early and was all unpacked before the majority of students had arrived. The following day they began arriving and I waited in anticipation to see who my roommate would be. I hoped we would have stuff in common, that we could go to parties and he could be my 'wingman'. Knowing my luck, I figured he would probably be a nerd. That was pretty much my only concern in terms of my roommate - that he would be a geek. I had no qu
