I am looking for a story on Nifty: Gay Archive, and I need help recalling the name of the story.
The plot of the story was a guy from either San Francisco, Sacramento, or Los Angles was working as a Chef in a restaurant but had to return to his hometown because of his mother's funeral. He apparently had a rough childhood: father died at a young age, mother remarrying a homophobic step-father, older brother left for college. Anyhow, he was either kicked and ran away from home in his late teen because his step father didn't like him being gay and the beatings if I remember correctly, but like few years later his brother starts emailing him, trying to get in touch/wanting to make up for lost times and such. Ok, well now he returns to his hometown, and he ends up staying with his brother and his wife and two kids while he attends the funeral. There he ends up meeting the friend of the brother and his wife cause he was the one who set up the brother and wife. The wife and friends are vets. As the story progresses, they end up falling in love but he was not ready to commit to a monogamous relationship until a few months he couldn't stand living without him. They end up moving together near the main characters hometown. The boyfriend ends up owning his own vet shops that's like a house/veterinarian shop. And that's how far I've read the story.
I'm sorry if its confusing and long, but I'd really appreciate it if someone is able to recall. I've been searching myself but to no avail.
