  1. It's interesting you found the chapter meh. It's probably my favorite of the last few. But maybe that's because Dan's taking steps to meet someone. I think it's quite a development for his character to even consider it. He's clearly grown in self esteem. Looking forward to reading how the meeting goes.

    Chapter 17

I continue to love this story and am really glad it's back! Dan strikes me as a bit of an old soul. He's very intelligent, but I think sometimes that he's overanalytical and assumes the worst. His fear of his parents reacting negatively towards his sexuality is one example. From what we have seen so far, I don't think there's been any sign that they really would react badly, but he makes leaps of judgement and has a skill for justifying thme in his own mind. A dangerous combination. Glad he got a kiss from David though, even if he seemed a little unimpressed with it. I wonder if he's so used to not enjoying anything that he can't even properly like what he's fantasized about for so long. As for Rodolfo, I thought before that he was either Chris or David, but after this chapter and his dismissual of his gay friends as "not his type" I certainly hope not! Anxiously awaiting the next chapter. They are always a highlight of my weekend, sad as that may be.

    Mrs. Harding

I really like this story and hope one day you are able to finish it. It's written in such a beautiful and bittersweet matter, all without being melodramtic. You're a wonderful writer. Personally i'm on team Elijah/Tom, though that strikes me as a bit unlikely. But I'd love to find out who if anyone Elijah ends up with, so here's hoping for an update.
  4. Just want to say I'm really enjoying this story. Call me weird, but I actually preferred the longer chapters. You've done a great job at making all the characters in this story likeable. Jenna is great, and it's refreshing to see a female character and potential rival actually have a personality and not be just a vapid shrew. I'm hoping Dan ends up with David, but I appreciate that his journey is just as important as his destination. Looking forward to reading part 3!

    Chapter 6

Another good chapter. I like the dynamic you have in this story. It's a nice change to have the guy that's more or less clueless as to the other's affections be the protaganist. Also, I saw that I called Mark Matt in my other review, lol. Sorry about that.

    Chapter 7

Great chapter and story. I really like Allison. You almost make me want to root for a straight couple, lol. Looking forward to seeing where things go for Matt and Dillon.
  7. I really liked this story at first. but I'm afraid it's become more and more difficult for me to suspend my disbelief. First of all, the reader is supposed to believe that abuse this common is not being noticed by anyone around Spencer? Where are the teachers? He's a genius, surely one of them would take notice if he kept coming to class with black eyes. Especially since the whole school apparently stops to witness the latest ways Riley and Dexter torment him. Does no one teach or patrol near the area they beat him up? Also, how has he not required medical attention for any of his injuries? He seems to be good as new fairly soon after all of his beatings, even in this latest chapter. Secondly, Spencer works at a hospital. No one there intervenes or notices the signs of abuse? You've mentioned Nix's mom noticed something was wrong with him, but she never follows up on that? I'd not have a problem with that, but adults outside of his own family seem to like Spencer. They'd have every reason to want to intervene if they suspected something was wrong. My biggest complaint though is that apparently everyone has forgotten that Spencer saved Nix's life. I don't know, you'd figure that would earn him some gratitude, at the very least from Nix himself. But everyone seems to be grateful to him for one or two chapters then forget all about it. The friends that care about Nix's wellbeing so much are right back to beating up the person who just saved their friend's life. And Nix lets them, convinced of the evilness of the person who again, just saved him. That alone says all that needs to be said about the utter vileness of almost every character in this story. The story's not badly written. But increasingly, I find it difficult to read it as anything other then "How will Spencer be tortured this week?'. Bullying is a very real probelm, and it's important to touch on. But I feel like this story takes said abuse up to eleven. Now apparently Artie and his friends are going to find a way to scar Spencer in yet another way. I think I'd complain less if the abuse had any notable effects on him. But so far he does not seem bitter, or even all that angry. I don't remember him once voicing suicidial thoughts or homicidal, for that matter. He seems very much like a saint, and given the abuse he's endured, I find that difficult to believe. You said you wanted to create a realistic story. As it stands right now, I'm sorry to say that you were not successful.

    Chapter 11

Great story. Quinn is such an idiot, but you write him in a way that makes him hard to dislike. I'll be looking forward to seeing where this goes.
  9. Count me as another fan of Jared's. Yeah he was an asshole, but he seems like a redeemable asshole to me. The rose he gave Connor right before his performance was really sweet, and shows he cares for him on a deeper level then just psychically. I have to agree with those who have said that Connor and Jared problems mirror one another. It would be nice if they could both work through them together. That said, I like Ray too. It's probably good for Connor to be with someone that's so confident in who he is. But I'm rooting for Jared all the way.
