    Thanks for your response. I don't know whether you ever read a book by Somerset Maughn, entitled "Of Human Bondage". It described the kind of dependance that you speak of, and described a man's infatuation with a waitress called Mildred. He does not like himself for being in such "bondage", but cannot quite break free. The whole of the book describes the agonies of this unrequited love. Eventually, he does break free, and marries someone he doesn't "love" with quite the same intensity he loved Mildred, but whom, nevetheless he likes and feels comfortable with. A friendship, in other words - richer and more long lasting, but perhaps not quite so exciting!

    Hello again, and thank you very much for your response. Would you mind if I submit my first chapter? I've completed six out of the ten chapters - the first four and the last two, but have more work to do on the middle sections. Submitting the book in stages gives me extra motivation, and I hope will leave readers desperate for more!

    Hello! I've just joined Gay Authors and intend, soon, to submit a story or two. However, would you happen to know of any sites of this quality, that specialise in sharing erotic artwork? I've a collection of simple, erotic pencil and charcoal drawings, some kinky, which I wish to share with serious minded individuals, and to indeed be encouraged or advised by them (and vice versa). I would be most grateful for any suggesions.

    Hello! I'm new to Gay Authors, and would at some stage like to contribute a story or two. I'm nearly completed my very first novel (a psychological thriller) which involves a gay couple: it's not pornographic or crude but there are erotic moments. To be quite honest I'm not sure if I am gay, but since this novel involves gayness, and the fact that I've joined this site, obviously indicates something. Anyway, I shall be more than happy to contribute a story, when the time is right.
