I'm so glad you like it! I might be doing some editing to this, probably not any major changes but if there, I'll make a chapter note that something changed, just so you know.
Chapter 2
“I guess we're done here, eh,” says Mr. Armentano, my piano instructor. I look over my shoulder and smile at him. He's a good teacher. Patient and kind, like a good instructor should be—and so unlike my father, with his drill sergeant-like ways. He takes his sheet notes and starts down the side stairs of the stage. “You've got five more minutes in here,” he calls, over his shoulder.
I turn back to the piano and run my fingers lightly over the keys, just feeling them. They feel lik
Thank you! It's good to know that I could capture all the emotions that were in it. By the way, I added what happened after Eli&Viz were caught in chapter 7, I didn't even mean to leave that part out (forgot to put it back in after a rework) and I cut out some of the excess rehash of the school day and added a little in other parts. Thank you for reading my book, it means a lot
Thank you! This has got to be one of my favorite chapters, I was getting to know them as I wrote it. I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for all your reviews, by the way.
Thanks for the reviews & I've noticed I've been having some problem with variation in font sizes, some type of glitch in the formatting, maybe. I just reentered all the text, hopefully that'll fix it. Thanks!
Chapter 8 – Viz
I laid on my bed and just stared at the ceiling for what seemed like forever. Hours must have passed, the sun went down but I made no move to get up. I still didn't hear my mom get home. I must've fallen asleep after a while because I woke up in my clothes, still laying on top of my covers in the same position, curled into a ball.
After a quick shower, I went downstairs and into the kitchen and almost turned around to run back upstairs when I saw my mom cooking eggs and baco
There's got to be an explanation. Evan wouldn't cheat on him! At least I never suspected he would. Great story so far, you've got me hanging on every word! It flows amazingly!! Now let me go read some more and see what happens
Your characters are so real, I can picture everything perfectly and I can almost feel every emotion you characters feel. Wonderful story, I can't wait to read more!
Chapter 1 - September
Simon. Simon, Simon, Simon. God, I hear that name way too much. It's not my name, if that's what you're thinking. It is—or was—my brother's name. Simon was perfect. Tall, sandy blonde hair, blue eyes, a defined jaw and angular features. And that's only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to his perfection. Throw in his natural tendency towards random acts of kindness and his patience for virtually anyone. Add a 4.0 GPA to the equation. And wait, it doesn't stop there.
Living in the shadow of his dead brother, Seth Cohen is just trying to be the son that his parents lost. He is accepted into Heedway Hall School of the Arts, a prestigious music and art school, where he meets Spencer, Logan, and John, who couldn't be more opposite (from him and from each other). Slowly, with the help of new friends, Seth learns what it means to be a musician and more importantly, himself. **See chapter notes for info on plot changes
Trapped
I stare at the mirror in my bathroom and a boy stares back at me. He is tall and gaunt and he has blue eyes the color of the sky and dark hair. I reach up and touch my face and the boy does the same. He is naked. I quickly pull on a pair of boxers and look back at the boy. I have stared at him nude so many times and watched him strip down so many times that it almost looks unnatural for him to be clothed. I feel like that boy, trapped behind a pane of glass with no way out. Helpless.
Tom is broken from years of physical and emotional abuse. He believes he is past the point of being fixed. Connor sees the Tom underneath the mask of happiness, the Tom that no one else realizes is there. But can he help Tom while he's falling apart himself?
Gosh, this was so good! So intricately twined, with deep characters and relationships! I loved it!! It kind of pissed me off that Rory refused to let himself think about leaving, because if he did maybe he'd have realized that he didn't want to sooner! But I love this ending, and the journey that brought everyone to that point
I don't see how Rory doesn't realize that he's the object of Luke's affection. I'm just guessing here, but there are major signs. But I want him to be with Seth! Don't know why but I have since the night Rory went to the party with Aaron.
Anyway, you really know how to make real characters! I hope to reach that level of skill some day.
Yes! I was right! Hmm, okay, back to being composed and all that. You had me hooked from the first paragraph of the first chapter and I can't stop reading. I suppose you already know how amazing your writing is, but I'll just tell you again. Your writing is amazing.
Wow, just wow. You have this amazing way of developing characters. I am already in love with all of your characters! I was in love with Rory not even halfway through. I'm going to make a wild guess here...well, actually not so much wild but based on clues. Eddie is gay! And Rory's mom sent him there because she knows he's gay. Jason is his lover/partner not his brother. And therefore Luke isn't his cousin. By the way Eddie talks about Jason and by the fact that they look nothing alike, I'm gonna guess that they aren't brothers and they're gay. That's just what I gathered from this. Now, let me go read chapter 2 and find out! I absolutely love your writing, by the way!
Thanks for the review (and all your other ones too). It's good to have a second opinion. I think I'm actually gonna change this whole chapter. I was debating adding someone else's pov but I chose to stick to the pattern of back and forth. I think I might actual redo this now. Thanks for the advice
