    Oldish topic, one addition from this writer's POV: For me, the story is never quite done. So my editor gets it (my SO of 17 years, therefore sees absolutely no reason to spare my feelings ) and I then get it back and make more changes. One could argue that I should let my editor post the story, so I can't get my sticky mittens on it again, but I can't quite get myself to that point yet, and so far he hasn't quite mastered the art of predictive editing either.

    Apparently not until I reach 5 posts, and thanks to you, I'm getting there in an almost legitimate way. As to the rest, for shame! This is an author/reader site; it's what my brain wears when I'm on the Lumosity site you should be asking about!

    Okay, I confess! I may have exaggerated a bit about the gyration. Unless by gyration you mean that odd waddle run one has when initially getting off the bike until things more or less fall into place again...

    Hi all, I actually joined about a year ago, but at the time everything seemed pretty complicated to me (I'm not a Luddite. I'm just drawn that way), so I figured I'd look into it when I had more time. And here I am. 48 years old--yes, I must also update my profile--attached, live in Greece, travel a lot for my job and confuse my BE and US English spelling and idioms. I also compete in triathlons, and the less said about that the better. I read quite a bit across a wide spectrum, but for pure entertainment I read Crime or Romance or, when I can get my hands on it, the two combined. I've also dabbled with writing, so far in the contemporary Romance genre. Very happy to be taking my first step here!
