  1. Yeah, there's some lock screen issues. But it's been acknowledged and I'm sure they'll push out a fix ASAP.
  2. Nope. Nope. Nope. Tried to play F.E.A.R. 3 and Alan Wake. Nope.
  3. Derp, bylaw, not bilaw. That's what I get for writing this off the top of my head, on an iPod and not thinking that word through. It's to make the city "pretty".
  4. I absolutely love them. So much. The concept of thunder snow gives me shivers and is something I want to see in my life time. It's just, so pretty. When I was younger, my father lived in a series of apartments. One in particular, the view was spectacular. The outside wall of the apartment was all glass. We used to sit in his room and watch the storms, at night. One night in particular stands out, for no real reason. The storm must have been at least 10 km away, but we could see it perfectly clear. The direction we faced was right into the city, with no other apartments to block the view. Ontario thunder storms are intense. We get a lot during the summer, and they're huge. I remember once there was a ribbon of storms. It was about 600-700 km long. It was the most impressive storm I've seen. Though I didn't get to experience it. Actually, that's a lie. That's not the most impressive storm I've seen. Again, at my father's. We saw the storm approaching and it was the biggest contrast I've ever seen in clouds. One part of the sky was literally sunshine and partly cloudy, a beautiful sky. Then there was this barrier and the clouds were black. It was like a line drawn in the sky, there was no transition. He took a picture and sent it into The Weather Network. They actually showed it, too. But it was with a warning to not take those types of pictures and to stay indoors. That's the biggest thing - at times the only thing - I missed about Ontario when I moved to Newfoundland. Because it's an island and the Atlantic Ocean, storms are really rare. In the 4ish years that I lived there, I remember two. They weren't even that impressive. They were really small in size and duration. Now that I'm back in Ontario, I'm glad to be back. Right now, I hear the rumbling of thunderclaps and the downpour of rain. But it's not the same. Our city has a bylaw that all lawns need to have a tree on them. It makes for very pretty roads, but terrible for viewing the sky. As I typed that, with my headboard to the window and my back to the storm, the entire top half of my bed lit up. I'm disappointed that I didn't get to see the beautiful thing that made that light. But I know if I tried to look, I wouldn't have seen it anyways. Probably the most beautiful image I've ever seen is of a lightning bolt. The sky behind it is a bright red. The bolt is going straight down, but it branches out in the most amazing way possible. It looks like a tree. It's a lightning tree.
  5. Chris Stark is more attractive, imo.
  6. “Hi, is this the place to ask about a pending referral?” “Yes, what do you need?” “Yeah, so… I came by a while ago to sort out some problems with mine, and was just wondering what my status was?” “I can’t look anything up without your name.” “I’m Jason Warford.” “Hold on.” I heard her typing in the background. “What is your social security num.. Nevermind, I found you. It says here that you’ve been placed back into the waiting list. You’re looking at about a year, at least, before
  7. Jason calls to ask about his referral.
  8. Well, rep is needed for authors.
  9. No one here is judging...
  10. In theory, I like the idea. But it seems way too confusing. It'll be difficult to keep track of and will create a lot of extra work for whoever has to go in and change all the names.
  11. That's hilariously terrible.
  12. Philosophy here is K.I.S.S. There doesn't need to be ten different forum post levels and two dozen different rep levels. Given how few people have a very high post count, I don't think anything over 1,000 really needs to be addressed. The reason that there's more rep levels is because, as Cia said, it's integral in how authors function. With that being said, once the 100 rep milestone is cleared, there's fewer milestones and they're more meaningful. I mentioned this to someone else, but I removed the reference to Dom Luka. It was brought to my attention that he helped make the site what it is today. I appreciate that, deeply, but I also feel like naming someone is counter-productive. It feels like a barrier of entry. It feels elitist and a little bit like a "cult of personality" which could very well turn future users off and away from GA. As well, I removed the cheating reference, because, well... that's just not a nice thing to say, right? Edited to add: 2 users have over 10,000 posts. 6 users have over 5,000 posts and less then 10,000. 17 users have over 2,500 posts and less then 5,000. 37 users have over 1,000 posts and less then 2,500. 10,000+ = 2 5,000+ = 8 2,500+ = 23 1,000+ = 60 --- Only 60 people on the site have more then 1,000 posts. This is why I think that having forum post levels over 1,000 isn't necessary.

I’m really sorry for writing this to you, but I feel like this needs to be said and you need to see it. I can’t get you off my mind and I’m sorry for how things turned out. Things got really crazy for a while, which was my fault and I’m so sorry. I’m kicking myself now, ruining things with you. I love you so much. I know it’s be
  17. My wallet didn't need a reminder of the weekly bundle. Bought. >_>
  18. I like it, a lot. I like the fact that folders are basically endless now. Although, a 3x3 grid seems kind of small, it's still nice. It makes organization a lot nicer. Also, finally News Stand can be buried! The way they've implemented multi-tasking is a step back, in my opinion. It's a little annoying having to swipe. Especially since they kept the Xs to delete apps. Seems inconsistent. The keyboard is okay, but it's not winning any awards. The swipe up notification center thing is the best, though. iPods don't have a hardware button for screen lock. This is a much appreciated feature and wins me over, really. Having the screen rotating constantly made it very difficult to enjoy reading the news in bed, or anywhere where you're not sitting up properly. The fact that the music controller is right there too, is fantastic. I won't use it much, but the buttons at the bottom are handy. Overall, it's a huge improvement. I always thought that previous iOS versions looked weird. Looking at the felt on Game Center, it didn't seem very Apple-like, to me. This design is a huge change, which is fine. It'll just take some getting used to. [Edit: Also, battery life is significantly better, which is quite surprising.]
  19. It Started With Brian does as well, Zombie.
  20. That video is fabulous.
  21. Try this: That way, you'll only search within that directory and only on Nifty.
  22. If you can remember more specific details about the story, like the character's name, it'll be easier to search for. Do you remember what section of Nifty it was in?
