Thanks so much! I hadn't put very much thought into the differences between the father/son relationships, but now that you've brought it up, I have a few ideas to expand on that.

This story is amazing. Such in depth detail and research. I love Mira's character, and I like that the plot is completely unpredictable. Can't wait for the next chapter (:

Chapter One: 

 The fields overlooking our tiny greens farm were blooming. The rhubarb leaves were flowering open, the lettuce was rising, and the carrots were starting to peek through. The peace in the early morning light was nearly overwhelming. I wanted to let it overtake me, swallow me up in its ice blue blanket before I had to turn around and return to the shambles that was my life.

Uhm. Yeah. Okay. This story was... interesting, to say the least. You wrote it well. There were only a few minor mistakes, and I liked the style in which you wrote it, but, if you were going for realism, I didn't see it. No teenager talks like that. And while stereotypes are still painfully prevalent in high school, theirs went way out of proportion. It was nearly insane the way that the "Populars" were so obsessed with their social status. It was like Mean Girls 3: Gay style. And the whole scene where Shawn was in the hospital bugged me. The doctors would not have talked to him in the manner that they did, and if his mom was seriously alcoholic, CPS would have been notified. The doctors would not have been a part of that decision. Shawn and Anthony's relationship disturbed me. It started with Anthony very seriously bullying Shawn. And while Shawn yelled at him a bunch for it, Anthony never seemed to actually regret it. He just kept justifying it. And later he beat Shawn to the point of passing out. And again, he didn't seem to regret it. And Shawn didn't seem to even care that it had happened. After he woke up, nothing was said about his bruises, and how much pain he must have been in. Most people I know would not just let that happen. They would be running out the door away from the abusive crazy bastard. Oh and, I don't see how they are much more than sex friends. Their feelings don't seem to run very deep. Shawn is constantly berating Anthony, and except for in the beginning, he never really says anything about how their relationship is going besides how Anthony pisses him off so much and the occasional look at them doing stuff at Anthony's house. But Shawn says it himself, they don't talk about anything. They don't tell each other about their lives. And when they broke up, neither of them seemed very upset. I was actually hoping they'd stay broken up. And even though they professed their love for each other, I didn't feel anything real behind it. It was like telling your best friend I love you. Except not quite so meaningful. What really bugged me was the plot. There was no real climax. It kind of stretched on and slowly went back and forth. Also, there was no growth in the story. Neither of the boys matured at all or learned anything. Shawn kind of gets along with his mother now, and Anthony... has graduated. That's about it. At the end, I literally threw my hands up in the air in confusion. My favorite character was Keith. He was the only character that seemed to actually be real. He talked fairly normal, he acted like real people do, and he was the only person who ever called Shawn on his bitchiness. Not that Shawn cared. I'm really sorry if I have offended you, which I know that I probably have. But I was so thrown off and flabbergasted at the end that I had to review.
