  1. Chapter 7 Somehow I misplaced what I consider a couple of the most important emails that passed between us. So I’m going to do the best I can to tell you what happened. It was quiet around the dinner table as usual. Like I said, they hardly said a word to me when we were together. Breaking the silence was intimidating. Finally, I just blurted out. “I’m not gay.” I was expecting to see a look of relief on their faces, but instead they glanced at me and kept eating.
  2. Chapter 6 Frank sent me this damn long email. It took me forever to read it. In fact I had to read it over a couple times to get everything he said. I’d begun to get a little scared, but he did something awesome. He laid out everything step by step after telling me about him being bullied in school. He wrote a story about it. Anyway, his long letter follows. frankf4321s Fri, August 8, 5:28 PM To: willw521K@gomail.com Will This email is kind of long so bear with
  3. Chapter 5 Frank sent me a depressing email on Monday. He attached a picture of a boy sitting in the rain. frankf4321S Mon, August 4, 8:13 AM To: willw521K@gomail.com Will I’m sending you a picture of a boy sitting in the rain. Look at it, write me back, and share your thoughts and feelings with me. Frank [sharedmedia=gallery:images:13198] ***** Will Waters Mon, August 4, 10:18 AM To: frankf4321S@gomai
  4. Chapter 4 I wrote the author, whose name is Frank, again in August. By that time, I wasn’t sure I could make it through the year. I think our correspondence best describes what happened between us until we were forced to end our friendship. I started with my first email to him in April. Will Waters < willw521K@gomail.com > Sun, Apr 27, 6:15 PM To: frankf4321s@gomail.com Knots is truly riveting and fascinating and erotic in every sense of

    Chapter 3

Columbus Guy, I'm going to post three chapters a week. The book is already completed. I didn't have any idea that the chapters were so short until I saw the word count for each chapter.

    Chapter 2

maybe so, but it will be difficult. Glad to see you're following.
  7. Uplifted Spirit

    Chapter 1

Thanks - I'm hoping it will be different and enlightening.
  8. Chapter 3 – Someone to Listen Jennifer became my only friend and helped me make it through my sophomore and junior years. Without her, I don’t think I’d have ever made it. Without her, I was alone. My parents drug me to church every Sunday, hoping they might save my soul. I’m kind of a meek kid and went, not just because they made me, but because I believe in God and believe God loves me, gay or not. Too bad my parents or the members of our church don’t believe it. During church services,
  9. Chapter 2 – A Light in My Life After James left, I began watching a lot of YouTube videos by gay teenagers who talked about coming out. Some said it was hard. Most said it was the right thing to do. Many had support in their community and some didn’t. But it all came down to being true to who you are and not living a lie. I didn’t want to live a lie and decided I should be true to myself and brave enough to come out and tell everyone I’m gay. Yes, my name is Will W and I am gay. Ah, if i
  10. Hello, my name is Will W and I’m gay. Alcoholics say about the same thing at AA meetings: “Hello, my name is Bill W and I’m an alcoholic.” Alcoholism is considered a disease. But being gay is no longer considered a disease unless you happen to be my parents, the members of my church, and the kids at school. My first gay experience, if you want to call it that, was with a thirteen year-old neighbor boy. I was fourteen, a sophomore in high school, and small for my age. Even though he was yo

    Chapter 33

Paul, thanks for the nice note. I've been giving Knots 6 a lot of thought. In fact, Lisa and I were discussing it today. The story could go in so many different directions. I guess we'll both know after I begin writing it again in a few weeks.
  12. Seventeen year-old Will Waters came out in a small Idaho town when he was fifteen. The story details the consequences and the actions Will takes to deal with the rejection of his family, his church, and his friends.

    Chapter 33

This is the last chapter of Knots 5. Knots 6 will begin in about 8 weeks. In the meantime, I will publish a completed story called A Matter of Perspective. It is about a 17 year old boy who comes out in a small Idaho town when he's 15. It examines the consequences and the actions he takes to deal with the rejection of his family and friends. I'll start publishing a few chapters a week starting this coming week. Knots 5 Chapter 33 Andy It was early November, and footbal

    Chapter 32

Zarek The next chapter is the end of Book 5. I'm in the process of publishing it now. Suicide is never the answer and my whole goal here was to show that there are options. Jason will still have a tough time ahead and let's hope he can cope. He needs to make some friends and quit isolating himself. The GSA will be perfect for him, but what if his parents find out. They could home school him and then what? Matt and Andy are together. Will they stay together is the big question. I guess readers will have to wait a few weeks. I'm going to be traveling and will publish a story I've already written, one you already know about based on a few of our previous conversations. I'll be curious to find out what you think.

    Chapter 32

jagboi Comments like yours really make my writing worthwhile. I know there must be close to a half million words to this point so the story must have really had you hooked. I keep hoping to get more readers like you. I do get them now and then, but not as often as I'd like. Lisa and I have been throwing around some ideas for Book 6. I'll have a few weeks to think about it and that's a good thing. Thanks again for your note and review.

    Chapter 32

Oxala The Jason saga will go on, but I'm bringing about some resolution in the last chapter that I'm writing now. I'm doing my best to tie everything up in a nice knot, (pun intended) so that when this book ends, the readers will at least have some closure until I write Knots 6, the last book. I look forward to your response to A Matter of Perspective.
  17. Uplifted Spirit

    Chapter 26

Oxala, as the story has continued much longer than I had anticipated, I realized I needed to add some characters. I am pleased you like the part about Jason. I have to admit, I enjoyed writing it. I'm not sure if I would have joined a GSA either.

    Chapter 32

Knots 5 Chapter 32 Matt It was strange at first calling Andy my boyfriend. We’d been friends for so long, having sex when we wanted and with whomever we wanted, and now we were exclusive. To be honest, it was a difficult adjustment at first. We were both self-conscious the first time we had sex after becoming boyfriends. It didn’t take long to get over it, but it was odd feeling that way. But we finally made real love. It all began the day he saw me standing a

    Chapter 30

Zarek This is one of those cases like I told JT that sometimes you need to be careful what you wish for. They have a long way to go before tying the knot, but maybe. After all, you had your guys get married pretty young and it seemed to work.
  20. Uplifted Spirit

    Chapter 30

JT A lot of readers feel just like you do and it seemed like it was about time they got together. But who knows what may happen in the future. You know what they say about getting what you ask for.
  21. Uplifted Spirit

    Chapter 3

Jaro, everyone wants to see Andy and Matt together. You'll have to keep reading on to find out what happens. Of course, I like to put a lot of twists and turns into the story so you never know what's going to happen. I often see Thomas and Matt together because they have a lot in common.
  22. Uplifted Spirit

    Chapter 2

Jaro I'm not sure how far you've read, but if you are at chapter 30 or so you know what's happened. I don't want to give anything away so won't tell you more. You're right about Andy. Ironically, at some point in Knots some readers have really gotten down on Matt for not committing to Andy. I appreciate your comment about hos I capture the thoughts of these boys. I've had readers say that's the best part of the story so always keep that in mind when I'm writing.

    Chapter 1

ColumbusGuy I'm not sure how I missed your comment Sorry I didn't back to you sooner. I heard you were having some difficulty. Zarek told me. If you're still reading chapters 30 and 31 are about resolution. A lot of people felt like you do about Andy. But don't forget that sometimes it's hard to break bad habits.

    Chapter 1

Jaro, good to see you back. Hope all is well. Can't believe it's been that long. You're right about Thomas letting Colt go.

    Chapter 31

Knots 5 Chapter 31 Jason Settles Jason had no idea how he was going to put his parents off this time. He thought maybe it would be better if he didn’t go home. But where could he go. Again, the thought of killing himself entered his mind. He’d be saved from the pain of having to deal with being gay, being rejected and hated by his parents, and the harassment of kids at school. It would all end. But his life would end too, and that scared him. He wanted to live, to become
