  1. Oh my...once again, you've led us on an exciting journey, filled with space battles, moral points, tender moments and a really amazing way of ending the story. I look forward to a complete re-read at some point in the near future, now that the first part is finished. Incredible chapters - you litterally had me on the edge of my seat, and waiting to scroll down and see what was coming next. Incredible, incredible. -C
  2. Um...wow. I have thoroughly enjoyed "Dreams" from the very beginning, watching it grow more and more complex. This chapter...just...wow. Incredible job, Dan, incredible chapter. I look forward to the 'thrilling conclusion.' --C.
  3. With the DO series coming to an end, what is everyone's favorite moment from the series and why? I think my favorite moment would have to be the seen between Mary Lou, Davey, the other social worker, and That Other Family (where Davey's picture gets destroyed, and he gets accused of drug use.) It is one of the high points of the series because it shows Davey as a maturing person, able to work the system without seeming to be so young as to be odd doing so. I will say overall, that Dan is a...satisfying storyteller, that in the stories that he tells, the characters, however roughed up they might be, will get what's coming to them, good or bad. That there are consequences for every action and reaction. Bravo! C.
  4. Dan, Fantastic chapter as usual - just the right mixture of humor, plot, character, etc. to form a finely woven tapestry. I must say that the previous few chapters (now 3rd/4th timeline) were an excellent way to bring down the physical tension in the story, and bring up the psychological tension as Davey struggles to close the Do-Over loop and remain firmly in this timeline. And while it will be sad to see this one go - it has been a very, very enjoyable journey. Yours, C.
  5. Gah! Urg! I will say, that this was a really good way to dive back into the story, and um...wow. Incredible. However, I wish that you had written a little bit more than just exposition about Davey's previous relationship - it started, and then it ended. It would have been nice to see a 'middle' chapter, to break up the 'and then three years pass'. But wow, what a chapter. C.
  6. Dan, I wanted to write you and tell you how much I am enjoying DOR. I have been a reader for...goodness...before you finished DO...say March, maybe. I am embarassed that this is my first responce to you. I remember waiting with anticipation as your chapters would come out, checking back once or twice a day to see if I could get my fix. You are, simply put, an incredible author. The characters are developed, and seem to pop up out off the screen and into the room to act out a scene. The way that you have portrayed all of the actors through two stories reveals to the reader the simply power that choices have. Not huge choices, like leaving one's husband, but the little choices, stopping a bully, spitting something back at someone, or taking responsibility for your actions. In other words, a fantastic story. I love the blend of romance, realism, politics and culture into a big story. You are not afraid to kill off characters, to cause them pain, to sugar coat anything - and that's awesome. Yours, C.
