  1. There were no interrogations, no screams of shock and no dramatic displays of surprise. Liz scooted over next to Matt, gave him a soft kiss on the forehead and wrapped him in a tight embrace. That was enough to show her support for him. Feeling left out, Dylan engulfed the two of them in a bear hug before they all fell apart on the sofa chuckling from the absurdity of the situation. “Now, this doesn’t mean it’s cool for you to ask me along when you go shopping for cosmetics alright?” Matt annou

    Coming Clean

If there was a storm running through Matt’s head just now, the text from Dylan upgraded it to a class five cyclone. Convincing himself against breaking the news to Liz now was tough enough; having Dylan pitch the idea again sent him into another bout of intense brainstorming. The last thing he needed was his best friend’s approval to restart the process of deciding the appropriate thing to do. Figuring if Dylan’s recommendations would influence his decision-making, he threw the question back. A

    Truth

“Who the hell do you think gave you the right to look at my journal? Do you know what privacy is?” Matt rushed over and grabbed the book. He held it up to his chest protectively, gripping it so hard his knuckles turned white. “Matt, I didn’t… ” Dylan was silenced with a glare. Matt was not done with what he had to say. Dylan sat in wordless terror. He had not expected anger. Fear maybe, or relief because the truth was out and there was no reason for either to hide. “Shut the fuck up, Dylan. T

Thanks, I hope emotions came through during the diary bit - it was an experience close to my heart.

Yup, you're right on both counts. Matt will not be happy, but this will help push him out of his shell.

“Hey, you need help with that?” His voice was unexpectedly gentle; Matt was surprised to hear the whisper emerging from the tower of muscles before him. Blinking repeatedly from sheer embarrassment, Matt shook his head and muttered, “No.” The will to unfasten the stuck zipper evaporated. He grabbed his bag and made a beeline for the corridor. As he tried to blend in with the crowd, he felt the new guy staring at his hasty exit. He would have liked nothing more than for the earth to open up and
  10. No matter how much Glee standards fluctuate, I can never stop watching that show. I'm way too invested.
  11. Thanks for the reply and I'm really glad you liked it. Please bear with the mistakes, coming from a Chinese speaking environment and being new at this doesn't help at all. Hopefully I'll get better over time!
  12. Thanks for the compliments. I got to go back and look for the mistakes then!
  13. Inspired by life events and set in modern day Singapore, the protagonist Matt is a socially awkward and insecure teen who wants to find his dream guy. Living in the shadows of his best friends doesn't make things any easier. Join him on his journey of self-discovery and prepare yourselves for a roller-coaster ride of emotions.
  14. Unable to find a comfortable position in which to fall asleep, Matt tossed and turned in his bed for what must have been the twentieth time. The thought of starting at a new school the following day made him nervous. Reaching over to his bedside table, he picked up his diary and started scribbling away furiously. The sound of pen scratching paper broke the otherwise silent environment of his bedroom. He sat up, scratched his jet black hair and rubbed his caramel coloured eyes to clear his head.
  15. Thanks! I'm sure I will, hopefully I'd be able to find some guidance along the way.
